Such a cute book! I loved the illustrations and the message that God loves each of his children. Kids of all ages would enjoy this book |
The story was cute but for some reason I couldn’t get out my head that it was written for his daughter. I felt like I couldn’t personalize it for my child or any other child. |
This sweet, repetitive is a delightful bedtime story or afternoon read for toddlers and young children. The illustrations were beautiful and delicate but warm. It's a good reminder that we are made by God and he made you and your children on purpose. |
LOVED everything about this book - the message, the rhyming (each stanza is so tastefully done and the refrain "The Day God Made You" fits so well each time and doesn't feel forced), the illustrations and the representation of children of all different ethnicities and abilities. |
We are big fans of Rory Feek’s last book, “The Cow Said Neigh”, so I was delighted to see he had a new release coming. ‘The Day God Made You’ is beautiful - from the lyrical text to the gorgeous illustrations. I also loved the wide diversity of the people throughout the pages, which is thankfully becoming more common. We look forward to finding a print copy for our personal collection soon! |
A good solid message that I highly recommend to families with younger children, the pictures are sure to keep their attention and the story is one that they should hear! I voluntarily received and reviewed a complimentary e/copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. |
Loved, loved, loved this book! What an incredible message about God's vision for us all. Our lives aren't about us, it's for His glory! The illustrations are beautiful and this would make for an amazing baby gift! |

A pretty book to give to your kids, to remind them how precious they are. That they are created to be someone special in this world, and most of all, that God loves them, in all circumstances. Even though He created us, He knows already what we will do, but nevertheless He loves it when we come to Him. And regardless our sins, He still accept us the way we are. |

We loved this one! A beautiful picture book with an excellent message that will be enjoyed over and over again at our home. |
Oh, this precious story book brought all the joyful tears to my eyes! What a sweet celebration of a child’s life this book is. I loved that it instills the belief that God knew a child before they were even formed in the womb. A book where children can find comfort and peace in the fact they are known and loved, that they are a unique and delightful creation… Reminding little readers that God knows them inside and out and loves them for who they are is something that cultivates a deeply rooted faith, a sense of purpose and grounds young hearts and minds. In addition, this story book uplifts and encourages children to dream, hope and love big. For that aspect alone, this book is a great addition to a child’s bookshelf! The book also celebrates diversity and disabilities in its lovely and creative illustrations while offering soft, lyrical words that make the story flow gently and happily. As a parent, this is a definite go-to story book to encourage my daughter and reinforce the beautiful things we want to teach in our home. As an adoptive family, I especially love that it teaches my daughter that she’s known, loved and was created exactly the way God intended her to be, knowing all that her life means and will mean to those around her in her future. |
The day God made you by Rory Feek is an awesome little book filled with love and Gods truth! I loved the illustrations. This would make a wonderful gift. |
I loved this book. It is a Christian based book that is based on the premise that God knew everything about you as a person before you were formed. It read smoothly, I could see this being read to a child or to a classroom. There are beautiful illustrations that depicted people of all different colors and abilities, very inclusive. It has a page where you can write a To/From message. |
This is a lovely book to read to young children to let them know just how special they are in the eyes of God. Its text and colorful illustrations show children how God knows every detail about them and their lives, and loves and cherishes them unconditionally. |
I requested and received an electronic copy of this book from Rory Feek and Thomas Nelson: CHILDREN’S through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. The Day God Made You by Rory Feek helps kids be in awe of God's omniscience (He knows everything) and God's Sovereignty (He controls everything) in a heart-fell, poetic and loving manner. This book, read by parents to their kids, will warm hearts and put both parties closer to each other, both marveling at God's character and work while also admiring the beautiful illustrations. I would gladly sell this book and read it with my sons. |
This would make the perfect babyshower gift add on! Such a sweet book That you can cozy up with next to your Littles. This is one of the sweetest kid books I've come across in a long time! It's utterly beautiful - from the pictures to the message! It's truly a wonderful way to love on your children and make them feel loved by you as their parent and God. The illustrations are colorful and meaningful throughout the story and I love that so many cultures and children are included in each picture. In a time when all should feel included and loved, this book and its message are so meaningful and loving. Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Publishing for offering me an e-copy of this book for review. |
I love the cadence of the words. I think it is soothing for a child. The message it sends is superb for children and adults. I think this will be a favorite for many families. |
Ok, every grandma and grandpa needs this book and every parent needs this book to be on their shelf. It's so endearing, the imagery is absolutely stunning and my children have LOVED it. They beg me to read it to them all the time. Thank you for the opportunity to read this book! |
This is a beautiful story book with the illustrations to match. A sweet story to share with your child. It lets them know they are special and loved. The illustrations include everyone with colorful and attractive work children will enjoy. The encouraging book shows us that God had a hand in creating us. Everything about us is special and has a purpose through God’s love. Differences, including different cultures and abilities, are celebrated in this book. It shows being our own unique self is important and we are loved. Little ones will enjoy the colorful and well done illustrations as well as the rhyme of the story. Parents, teachers and other caregivers will enjoy the confidence children will learn about being themselves and welcoming the differences in others. This is a book great for home, as well as churches, libraries and classrooms. It is a good gift idea to give to new parents too perhaps. |
