Maggie and Quinn are both living with their own past on the beautiful island of Maui. I've never been to Maui, but I know it's beautiful because Kay Bratt paints a beautiful picture of the island. The story centers around Maggie trying to get her life together after her stalker has gone to prison. Her best friend Quinn lives on Maui and has invited Maggie to the island to put her life back together. Maggie and her son Charlie arrive and it looks like they will finally be able to put the pieced back together. Then the tables turn. Quinn is living with her own past and has some hard decisions to make about her future. I love how Kay has put both stories into the one book and we finally get to see how Quinn's life comes together after reuniting with her family. I read this book in three days. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend reading True To Me first to get the whole story.

No Place Too Far by Kay Bratt. This book is the second in the series named By the Sea.  While I finished the book I admit to skipping through the majority if it.  I didn't feel that the Maggie character was the same as she was portrayed in the first novel, True to Me. Maybe in her actions sometimes but not in her self dialogues.  I did enjoy the Hawaiian history and island descriptions.  Thanks to Net Galley and Lake Union Publishing for the chance to read this book.

I knew I was right to wait until the weekend to start this book because I was able to read it in one sitting without adulting getting in the way. Kay Bratt has a great way with words and getting the story to unravel as we follow the two friends Quinn and Maggie build their new life in Maui. Things are not always sunshine and rainbows even in a place as beautiful as this and they both have to face what they fear the worst and that could lead to losing what they love the most. I enjoyed very much reading this book and especially loved the unpredictable happy ending.

I really loved reading this story, the second in the series. After reading the first book, True To Me, I couldn’t wait to find out more about these characters. The author provides a vivid description of the location in Hawaii where the story takes place, You truly feel as if you are there even if you have never visited. I loved finding out more about the Hawaiian culture and traditions too. This second book dealt with Maggie’s move to Hawaii along with her son Charlie. Maggie is the best friend of Quinn, who was the main character in book. Maggie has been moving around a lot on the mainland in her efforts to escape a stalker that she has been dealing with for awhile, She hopes this latest move to be near her best friend In Hawaii will provide the security she has been searching for. In addition, we continue to learn more about Quinn and her personal and family relationships. This story kept me on the edge of my seat! I highly recommend it!

Another amazing book by one of my favorite authors, Kay Bratt! This book had me staying up way too late because I just couldn't put it down! Kay's storytelling throughout is so descriptive and the character development is superb. I really felt connected not only to the main characters, Quinn and Maggie, but to their stories and to Maui. This book, as well as the first book in the series, have me wanting to travel to Hawaii even more! I can't wait for the third book in the series! I was provided an ARC. No Place too Far by Kay Bratt

I finished reading at 2am I could not put this book down. No Place too Far was my 2nd book by Kay Bratt, and I am so glad to have found this really great Author. I fell in love with the characters, Maggie and Quinn they each had their own obstacles to overcome. A lost childhood and a stalker very intense. The location was amazing Maui is on my list of places to visit. I am ready for the next book in this series. A must read.

I received a copy of No Place too Far by Kay Bratt. I was not aware that this was book 2 in her By The Sea series, which had me a bit confused, but I worked it out.

No Place too Far follows Maggie as she comes to Maui with her son Charlie to hide out from her stalker, the Ghost, as she calls him. Maggie is a spunky young woman that loves her son and just wants to be happy. Her friend Quinn, who was the main character in True to Me, is trying to help Maggie navigate her new life on Maui.

I really liked the story and I'm currently reading True to Me so that I can fill in the missing piece. I am loving this series and look forward to reading more by Kay Bratt. I would definately recommend this book to friends.

Not only are the scenes breathtaking but Quinn and Maggie's story is told with such grace , I like that any reader who reads this will feel part of a whole collective, rather they have been through and /or still going through any type of abuse rather mental, physical, emotional or mental., they will feel a sense of freedom. This book gives the reader the ability to realize ,its ok to be scared , its ok to leave ,its ok to BREAK FREE!! life changing for many , story of true hope and triumph..

Another heartfelt page-turner by bestselling author Kay Bratt. The continuation of Quinn’s story from True to Me along with her best friend Maggie on the island of Maui does not disappoint. Both women and their stories will touch you deep within your heart. Kay Bratt does an amazing job of describing the island life and the importance of family, culture, and love. A love story with quite a bit of action and learning one’s true self. A can’t miss combination! Thank you for my requested copy of this ARC and all opinions in this review are my own.

I was excited when the second installment of Kay Bratt’s “By the Sea” series, set in Maui, was announced. This book gives us insight to Quinn’s childhood BFF, Maggie, with whom she reunited in “True to Me”, the first book. “No Place Too Far” is about 12-18 months later, Maggie has relocated to Maui, and we are introduced to new supporting characters.

We see how Quinn is coping with the reunification with her biological family and her loyalty to the woman who raised her. I felt based on where they are in the relationship, the storyline is realistic. Siblings figuring out the new pecking order and parents trying to reconcile the little girl they lost with the young woman she has become. I imagine this would be a slow, sometimes rocky, journey. We see Quinn evolve into a more confident woman enjoying the success of running an inn.

We also learn more about Maggie and how dealing with a stalker has changed her from the person Quinn remembered prior to losing touch. The struggles of being a single mom and the fear that the rug will be ripped out from under her again have taken their toll. However, as Maggie begins to open up to others about her stalker, she finds the strength to reclaim her life. I enjoyed the introduction of Maggie’s co-workers to the story. They are funny and quirky. I hope we see more of them in book three. Woodrow is a pretty cool dog.

I would have liked a couple more chapters to round out the ending which felt more like an epilogue. I did not agree with the offered suggestion for explaining Quinn’s disappearance without implicating the people responsible. Too many holes. While I think Maggie ended up with who she should, I’m also left wondering about the other guy. Maybe book three will bring him a resolution?

All in all, the book kept me up until 3am, because I could not put it down. I will definitely re-read “No Place Too Far”. The character development is solid and consistent. The plot line kept me guessing to the end with believable twists and turns. I can’t wait for book three to see how the characters grow through their experiences.

I received it as an advanced copy from Netgalley in return for an honest review. When it releases in September 2020, I will be buying the Kindle and Audible versions.

This book was so good! It immediately grabs your attention and pulls you into Quinn and Maggie’s story. It was the perfect amount of romance mixed with family drama.

Your books aren’t love stories. They aren’t even stories. They are deep philosophical windows into peoples souls.

Kay Bratt has gone from telling tales of Chinese orphans, to having to deep philosophical insight regarding human emotions and ancient Hawaiian culture.
Her characters open themselves up so we can see and feel their thoughts and emotions. We learn from their adventures. We want to become some of them.
Keep up the good work. Amazing books. Albeit, too short!

I truly enjoyed the first book in the series, True To Me, so was eager to dive back into the Maui waters, and I was not disappointed,
No Place Too Far continues the stories of a group of characters we met before in True To Me, concentrating a little more on Maggie. Maggie came out to live in Maui after her friend Quinn settled there, once she found out that was where her birth family lived.
Maggie, herself, is trying to settle down after spending a year on the run from a stalker, with her young son.
I was so engrossed with the story, that had I not had work the next day, I'd have been reading far into the wee hours of the morning!
Quinn and Maggie's stories run side by side, but entwining in places, and with blossoming friendships, tentative romances and shocking returns.
The descriptions of the lush scenes of Maui made me wish I was there.
And knowing there is a third book to come... well, I am super excited!

A book that drew me in from the start, with suspense, fear, danger, anxiety and romance.
I really enjoyed the story and could not put it down. As well as the beautiful scenery and finding out some legends,and history.

No Place too Far is a story I simply could not put down. In book two of the By the Sea series we get to check in on Quinn and get to know Maggie. Maggie is looking for a fresh start and being near her best friend Quinn in beautiful Maui seemed like the best place to build her new life. Her precocious son, Charlie is everything to Maggie and she works hard to make a good life for them. When a danger from her past emerges, Maggie isn't sure where to turn. Meanwhile, Quinn is settling into her new family dynamic when an uncomfortable situation arises her first thought is to protect the family that has already endured so much heartache. I love how Kay Bratt writes true friendships like Maggie and Quinn and Maggie's new coworker who becomes a fast friend. Bratt explores themes all women wrestle with from anxiety to guilt and forgiveness all while delivering a story that keeps the reader turning the pages as fast as she can. This is a must read! Kay Bratt. No Place Too Far. Remember the name and title. Believe me, when you read the book it's not a name or a title you will likely forget. No Place Too Far was a pleasant surprise. This was the first book I had read by Kay Bratt. It is actually part of a series but there are plenty of explanations throughout the book so you don't feel too lost. This book focuses on Maggie and her son Charlie. Maggie has a stalker and she is trying to start over after he is imprisoned. But, of course, he doesn't stay incarcerated. He is soon out and Maggie is back in the grips of terror. The other characters in the story have their own interesting storylines. I will definitely go back and read the books leading up to No Place Too Far. And I will definitely go back and read every Kay Bratt book I can find. From the first sentence to the last, the book is wonderful! The descriptions of beautiful Hawaii and the lifestyles of the people that live there are fascinating. Plus the addition of historical facts from the beautiful state are things that I never knew. No Place Too Far is a book that I could not put down. I stayed up late reading it and will actually have to give myself a couple of weeks before I can get a manicure because my fingernails are bitten down to the nub. I am giving No Place Too Far five stars only because I can't give it anymore. I voluntarily received a copy of this book from netgalley.

I got hooked pretty much as soon as I started reading. The characters are likable and the story intertwined with some history and legends of Hawaii was very interesting. It was written beautifully and I really enjoyed it. It was a quick fast read and kept me entertained until the very end.

Can a story be both sweet and yet full of suspense and fear? This is exactly what Kay Bratt has done in this amazing novel that I devoured in one day!
As I happily returned to Hawaii to see best friends Maggie and Quinn once again, I realized that there were some "skeletons in both closets" that created anxiety and panic for these ladies.
Sometimes, you just cannot outrun your secrets and fears until you confront them head on. Something these bestie's must realize to find happiness and safety in their lives as well as their families!
However... will they?
It is truly a heartwarming, suspenseful, love story that had me on the edge of my chair at times and at other times, just truly feeling emotional!

I I absolutely love this book. The first on this series was fantastic and this one might be even better. The characters are believable and likeable. I found myself rooting them on. I wholeheartedly recommend this book.
