This will stay in my library and be used often. It is not only useful but interesting. It has 1,001 references with topics as well as key themes that you not only find mentioned in the Bible but that are topics of conversation. No matter how well you know your Bible there might be a time you find yourself trying to remember where exactly something is located or if something you want to reference would be located in a certain spot. But, you don't remember for sure. Then you can easily find topics you want to study in the Bible and conduct more study in the Bible on that topic with help from this book. It is an interesting reference tool. Some topics include zeal, ability, dating, feelings, and crime. It is like using a concordance and the scriptures are included to help you go straight to the Bible location discussing your topic or theme. It helps you start your devotional or scripture study. It is well-organized and includes beautifully colorful illustrations. It is easy to use.

I got the ARC ebook via Netgalley. I read the bible on a daily basis and listen to various sermons on podcasts and attend church regularly. I listen to various pastors give definitions and the original Hebrew words. I found this book very helpful and a great source for understanding the bible even better. What is really great about this book is that we have from definitions and topics of the bible from a to z as we find in the dictionary with different interesting topics. And it is not just the definition; but it has the bible verse as well.

I received an ARC from Barbour Publishing via NetGalley. This review is my personal opinion.

I know I’m not the only one who has feel intimated with the bible, where do we find a specific bible verse, or how we can start a bible study for ourselves. What I like about this book is that we have from a to z as we find in the dictionary, different interesting topics, not only with the definition; but the bible verse. You can see dedication, and hard work on the pages of this book. I believe this one is a must-have and an excellent addition to everyone who wants to go deeper in their bible study and wants to have a reliable source of information.

I love bible study, and learning how to find things I am curious about learning makes books like How to Find it in Your Bible a must-have reference book. Even after more than 40 years as a child of our risen Lord, I still find myself discovering new truths, re-learning old lessons, and searching for teachings I remember, but cannot find. Thank you for providing the world a helpful book like How to Find it in Your Bible.

Was just ok. Easy, simple to read. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on my review.

This book was received as an ARC from Barbour Publishing, Inc. in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I really needed a book like this. All of us are human and need to be reminded of the blessings and gifts we already have. Everyone deserves to feel their best and what everyone doesn't know is that EVERYONE struggles in some way shape or form at life and we are never alone. I know a lot of our library community will appreciate this book not only for some biblical information but another source to turn to whenever they need to vent and read their feelings.

We will consider adding this title in our B Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

Nice and simple, yet very useful reference volume for use with your Bible.

As a teenager, one of the first Biblical reference books I received as a gift from a pastor was Nave’s Topical Bible. This book serves as an abbreviated (though not duplicated) version of that book.

The book offers topical references to 1,001 different important terms and concepts found in scripture. That number is a bit deceiving as some of the terms are only covered indirectly: Meaning, that there are a bit less than 1001 actual topics discussed. The underlying translation used for this reference is the King James Version, making it useful to most lay readers, but less useful to those who prefer an alternate translation. Entries, include a short quotation of the key passages followed by the Biblical reference. Some of the chosen topics include all the available biblical material, others include a good selection of relevant scriptures.

The book would seem to be aimed more to the lay reader and learner, though pastors would find some of the summaries helpful. Most pastors and scholars would be better served by a more complete topical index or Bible Study software. I have given this a 4-star review.

As might be expected from the Title, this reference book functions like a biblical concordance for the rest of us. There are 1001 terms, expressions and ideas which the author believes has some connection to the scripture. Most of these are simple words for which the link is fairly obvious because you can find the [translated] word in most copies of the Holy Bible; however, to this list the author has added words and inferences that may be supported in the text, but for which there is no direct translation. For these and other less well known terms, the author provides a brief explanation (I wish there were more of these to be honest). Examples:

* Alms: Alms were gifts to the poor, an essential part of society in an age without public welfare. Generous giving was expected of believers.
* Dating: There was no such thing as dating in the biblical era. Marriages were often arranged, and the partners were expected to be virgins when they married.

The PDF (and I presume the physical book) layout is well done. The Kindle version is not nearly as clean, but remains serviceable (although it is missing a usable TOC for better navigation by alpha). The few illustrations provided were nice and on point to the topic in-which they appeared (which was not the case in a similar book I recently reviewed). Over all, this is a solid reference book for the casual bible study. What is missing for students looking for a more in-depth treatment of the Bible was any reference to translation (and subsequently to the source terms) what inevitably loses some of the nuance found in the original source material.

I was given this free advance reader copy (ARC) ebook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I was given a copy of this book for review

This book is very useful, it is an index to your bible. Looking for a specific subject, find it in the book and the passage you need to read is shown. The only drawback, on a kindle, you need to view each page to find what you are seeking

This book is very interesting and helpful. There are 1001 subjects and how you can find them in your Bible. It was probably a lot of work to put them together but it was pretty well made. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review
