I love this kind of material to be able to have more constancy in the spiritual life. This is a simple material, but it can help a lot especially when you are struggling to maintain a daily prayer life. One downside is that it definitely doesn't work well for e-books and ended up being difficult to read in some parts in this format.

Another winner from the author. I have not read a book by this author I did not like. Well put together devotional. You cannot go wrong with this or any devotional from this author. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving this book in this manner had no bearing on my review.

I found The Prayer Map Devotional by Donna Maltese to be just what I was looking for. It’s informative and yet full of space for you to experience times of prayer with God. It started me out with a great lesson on the Who, What, Where, When, Why of prayer. That one just really was special to me because of the Inductive approach carrying over to prayer. (I’m an addict of Inductive Bible Study as student and teacher, so this just screamed loudly at me.) That as just the beginning and it just built from there. I loved the set up and the packed devotions that were small but boundless. Yes, to this one!

Definitely more suited to hardcopy than e-book, I'm very grateful for a chance to read through this Prayer Map devotional. Each chapter/week has an important theme, 5 short devos, and a place for writing/mapping out your prayers. I especially enjoyed the use of different translations in different places. That it isn't all one version adds richness.

If I had to pick, my favorite week was probably the one on Psalm 23, and the Good Shepherd. I have more passages highlighted there than anywhere else.

I received an advance copy of this book from #NetGalley, and chose to review it here. All thoughts are my own.

For quite awhile, I have been collecting devotionals, as I like to rotate thru rather than stick with the same one from cover to cover. The Prayer Map Devotional has opened up additional time for me to spend with God. Will be implementing this devotional into a weekly session. I found the writing to be very moving and worthy of further study. Will consider gifting copies of this during the holiday season.

The Prayer Map Devotional is a great tool to deepen and strengthen your prayer life. Throughout the 7 months/28 weeks of devotions, Donna takes you deeper into each scripture every week.

I've read so much about prayer mapping, joined groups to help me navigate learning how to do it. The pages outlining the steps for prayer mapping have been really helpful in guiding my mapping journey and the categories (things I'm worried about, what I need, things I need to share with God) have allowed me to go a little deeper in my thinking about my prayer life. As with all things, you're going to get out of this what you put in. But I noticed that as I progressed in the book and spent more time just being quiet, my prayer life - and my ability to vocalize my needs in prayer, has increased.

THE PRAYER MAP DEVOTIONAL was sent sent to me by Net Galley, free of charge, in exchange for my honest review.
The Prayer Map Devotional is a nonfiction Christian devotional. It was written by Donna K. Maltese and published by Barbour Books, which is an imprint of Barbour Publishing, Inc.. You can find this and many other Christian books at barbourbooks.com., and of course, many retailers, like Amazon, Christian Book Distributors, Barnes and Nobles, etc.
PRAYER MAP DEVOTIONAL IS 28 weeks of inspired readings – PLUS weekly guided prayer maps. Each week you will be blessed with a beautiful 2 page guided prayer map, along with Scripture passages, inspirational readings, and prayers. Then, daily you will have shorter Scripture passages, inspirational readings, and prayers. She calls this, HELP TO BUILD A HEALTHY SPIRITUAL HABIT OF CONTINUAL PRAYER FOR LIFE!
I love this one quote – IMAGINE YOURSELF IN A “SECRET (SAFE) PLACE,” THE ONE RESERVED FOR GOD AND YOU ALONE! Doesn’t that just make you want to spend time alone with Christ? It does me!
At the end of this devotional, you will find a Scripture Index and a COMING SOON section. I was so excited to see there will soon be Prayer Map devotionals for the whole family – men, women, girls, boys, and teens.
I would DEFINITELY recommend this book to Christians clamoring for a deeper prayer life. It would also make a nice gift.

This is an okay book if you like journaling and the Message devotional used as a Bible resource. it is not for me.

Twenty-eight weeks of guided, purposeful, focused prayer time. Each week begins with a topic, a Scripture and a short reflection directed to guide a woman to the Truth therein. Then each day offers a verse, a short teaching with a short prayer statement. Next, the guided map section offers prayer prompts. The colors are beautiful, and the simple layout provides an easy to follow journaling space. Scriptures are from Old and New testaments and various version of Scripture are used. This particular prayer map is designed for women but could also be beneficial for teens. An excellent tool for new believers or those who are learning to have regular, focused prayer times. The concept of Prayer Maps has been gaining in popularity, but the concept of keeping a prayer journal has been around forever. I was curious to explore more about prayer maps and this book was a great resource to do just that.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own and freely given.

This devotion is interesting, it teaches you how to pray in a way that is simple and organized. It’s not my preferred style but it may work for some people.

This comes at a time that people most need it. I love the structure and formatting of this devotional, and I love that it is personalized to every reader (yes, it's true). Readers are provided with scriptures and thoughts to consider before journaling. As a person who loves devotionals, this is perfect!

Great formatting! I have done a couple days worth of devotionals so far. I cannot wait to continue these devotionals for the next 28 weeks. I have always had a hard time with reading the bible on my own. These devotionals are just the things I have been searching for.
