In this series, family is still the most important things This is book 4 in the series, but the first I had read. It's an interesting blend of small town Louisiana, traditional folk ways and a cold case, that is affecting modern day life.While you might guess who the suspect is by midway, it's an interesting easy read, that will have you enchanted, and ready to go back to read the previous books in the series! Don't miss this one!

An engrossing and well written mystery that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I loved the storytelling, the solid mystery, the fascinating background and the well rounded characters.
I want to read the other books in this series.

Loved it! An interesting case, dimensional, likable characters and the mystery of the bayou. Read this in just a few hours and now that I'm done I want another! I only wish I knew about this author when the series began.

A good murder mystery. Like the touch of mysticism, and how Raleigh can touch something and feel the dead. Overall, I really enjoyed this one, and had a hard time putting it down. Feels like part of a series though, and wish I had read others before this one. Otherwise, highly recommend this book and author.

I found this book thoroughly enjoyable. It can be read as a standalone but I'm going to go back and was the others in the series. I just felt like there was more I needed to know about the characters. A good storyline and interesting characters made this a pleasant read.
