This 3rd Volume of the Tea Dragon series is sure to enchant and delight fans of gorgeous graphic novels.
The art is soft and lovely, and the story explores grief and loss in a wholistic and relatable way.

I am grateful to NetGalley, Oni Press, and Katie O’Neill for the opportunity to read this book. I hope Katie O'Neill continues to share this world with us!

It’s always a delight reading THE TEA DRAGON SOCIETY series because it’s just so wholesome and pure, and this book is no exception 😭💖 There’s just something gentle and uplifting about these books, whether it’s due to the beautiful art and bright but soft color palette, or the well-developed characters and representation, or just themes explored, this series just never failed to cheer me up.

Here it is. The final Tea Dragon Society book. After 2 books, a board game, plushies, and some pins, The Tea Dragon Society series concludes with The Tea Dragon Tapestry. The story returns to the present time with Minette and Greta. Greta has had an offer to apprentice with a very well known blacksmith. She has accepted to meet him and take his test which is to make something that impresses him. Greta is at a loss and this coincides with her still being at a loss about how to help Ginsig out of their grief over a year later. Minette, on the other hand, receives a tapestry she was working on from the monastery and realizes that she has lost her way. Every major character from the series must come to terms with the future and their roles.

The Tea Dragon Tapestry is like reading a Studio Ghibli movie (more Miyazaki's movies under the studio) with hints of ancient spirits, characters determining who they are, and very large life lessons even adults would benefit from. Grief is covered very well in this work, from working through a physical loss to a loss of what once was. Character representation is very diverse in this story and it was a pleasure reading their stories. Every reader who reads this will be touched by this work and will likely leave with something they needed from it. Overall, there is a sadness that comes with finishing such a well done series, but it deserves a place on every graphic novel shelf.

The Tea Dragon Tapestry is the last book of the Tea Dragon series. I read all the previous books and loved them and this one was no exception. In this one, we conclude the story of Greta and Minette. Greta is still caring for Ginseng and has now to create a piece to impress Kleitos, so that he accepts her as his apprentice. Minette is having recurring dreams and still trying to find herself after her life in the monastery.

I love these characters so much. Also, the art is stunning. Every panel is wonderfully illustrated, it feels like a true piece of art.

The books of this series all feel comforting and warm, something we all need sometimes.

I’m sad to be leaving these characters behind but I can’t wait to see what the author will do next.

I loved this series so much and I’m sad it’s ending! This one lived up to its predecessors, and it was lovely to see the main characters from both of the earlier installments in this one. This was back to focusing on Greta and Minette, and it has a great overarching moral of how to help those that are grieving, as well as how to move forward in life when things aren’t turning out the way you expected. And oh, the ending gave me all the feels! <3 Ginseng and <3 Greta! Plus, I loved the fake history of tea dragons at the end - it just adds so much to the fantasy world to make it come alive!

This ARC was provided for review, but in no way affects the following impartial and unbiased review:

4*
Pros: Heartwarming and cosy storyline and art style. A perfect read for colder weather. Features beautiful creatures (including tiny dragons), queer and PoC characters, some with disabilities. Beautiful portrait of different kinds of love. Important PoV on mourning and healing. Vibrant, full of bold colors and perfect for all ages.
.
Cons: Lacking a bit of adventure and action.

This book is so visually stunning. It's a feast for the eyes. I felt warm after finishing this sweet book. I'm a person that appreciates family and tradition and this book captures the relevance for both. It's a narrative that will appeal to young and old. The messages resonated with me. It is a book I'd like for my nieces to read and enjoy. I have not read the two previous books, but will most certainly do so very soon. I'm so pleased that Oni Press approved my request to read and review this wonderful book. Did I mention that The Tea Dragon Tapestry is a book that can and should be read more than once?

These stories are always so heart warming and brighten up the day. The art and the narration of the stories around the tea dragons and the people always make me smile and continue to surprise me on how much I love this series of graphic novels.
Thank you for the early access to the book and I can't wait to pick up the physical copy later this month!

Looooove. Love love love!! This whole aesthetic is perfect! And it’s all my favourite things, all rolled into one stunning little graphic novel universe. The Tea Dragon series features fantasy creatures, warm coziness, found family, queer rep, disability rep, and so much cute fluffiness your heart will implode. This time of year feels like the perfect time to read these, so I highly suggest them to anyone looking for a fall time read!!

I can confirm that Katie O'Neill has become one of my favorite artists and author. The Tea Dragon series is definitely one of my favorite graphic novel series, and this last book was completely amazing. I loved the plot of this story, it felt sadder than the previous books but at the same time more beautiful.

The Tea Dragon Tapestry dealt with topics such as grief, change and loss. But it was dealt in such an amazing and heartfelt way that it got me in tears by the end of the book. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who wants to read a heart-warming book with stunning artwork.

If ever a series could be described as pastoral, its this one. There's not a strong conflict. There's a plot but its more of a loose structure than a strict driving force. The plot is a framework for assorted characters to consider internal concerns. They reflect upon grief, life's purpose, the person we've been and the one we are becoming, the obligations we have to ourselves and to others. We can meander comfortably through this story while still gleaning from it important, deep lessons.

I recieved this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

What a beautiful book. I really enjoy the series and I don´t know is this is the last book or it´s going to be a whole series, because I really like it.

This book talks about the importance of friendship when one of your friends are in trouble, how so many times they only need your support and company or even only listen.

When I think in these books I really feel they are very important to kids so, if you have kids please read it to them. But if you are an adult, please read these series too because some times we need to remember little things about ourselves.

Thank you very much to Netgalley for approved this book to me.

I loved the art style and the plot was very minimal as there was more pictures than writing but overall a lovely story about family.

I just finished reading the first 2 books in this series in order to read this. Thank you to netgalley for approving me for this arc o really do appreciate it. This graphic novel is beyond amazing I never felt such happiness reading a graphic novel it's like I was having a cup of tea dragon tea. The artwork as always is beautiful with all its colors and details to this world. The messages it tells in this story are just wonderful to read about. I really do hope there will be more books to this because I have fallen in love with the characters stories and their tea dragons.

4.5 stars

The third installment of this graphic novel series is just as cute and wholesome as the first two.
I love the tea dragons and their caretakers - and the storylines of this one about grief and finding out what you want out of life - really resonated with me.
And - of course - the art style is in a class of its own. Such an amazing book!

As with the other graphic novels in this series, this was so wholesome and pure! I think I read this instalment at an excellent moment in my life as this one focused on finding a purpose in life and showing that sometimes, our purposes can change. I love how in each of her books, O'Neill is able to tackle such meaningful subjects in a way that is accessible to all ages and always feels like such a gift to read. The art style is amazing - it both colourful and cute; it feels happy just to open it. I really do recommend these graphic novels to anyone because I think they can be enjoyed by all.
