Well, they call them teasers for a reason! HH is a one-click author for me, so I love everything that she writes! Blaire and Ronan are epic!

Thank you NetGalley and Forever for an ARC of the preview for this book

I am in love with this book so far. So many of my favorite things, enemies/rivals to lovers, lumber sexual, and cupcakes. The banter and plot are already moving along pulling me into the story I was disappointed for it to end. Can't wait for the rest of the book!

This excerpt is just enough build up to determine that this is a book for me!

I really enjoyed Hunting's book.Meet Cute. I liked how this novel starts out with a different vibe, but the same wit and banter style. Hunting gives us give the right amount of detail/sharing and is onpoint with her descriptions.

I look.forwsrd to seeing how this story continues to unfold. Thank you Forever Pub for allowing me this advanced excerpt.

I love Helena Hunting’s Pucked, Shacking Up, and All In series, but her Forever titles have been hit or miss for me. After seeing trusted reviewers feel positively about this book, I thought a sample would be a great way to test the waters and help set my own expectations.
The formatting was difficult to read, but these chapters of Kiss My Cupcake were funny and engaging. They were flirting with a feeling of forced humor without actually crossing the line. I like an enemies to lovers story, and I love when work plays a ongoing role of importance in the book. I also am a sucker for food mentions. Blaire is a character I can really get behind, and Ronan seems larger than life in his hipster handsomeness. Both currently feel like caricatures of people, and I have faith Helena will flesh them out further as the story progresses. I do think I will check this one out, I hope there is heat and some of Helena’s zany humor!

The preview was interesting enough to make me curious to see how things play out between the two leads.

My feedback is based on the preview only.
Is it normal to crave for cupcakes after reading this? So I Googled where can I find Bourbon bacon cupcake with maple buttercream near my place. No luck but plenty of recipes online so maybe I should roll up my sleeve and bake some on the weekend.
Blaire refusing help from her family and her determination to follow her dream had me rooting for her to succeed in her business. You go, girl! The banter between Ronan and Blaire spice up their chemistry and I can't wait for them to fall for each other. Enemy turn lover trope is one of my favourite tropes as the couple know each other at their "meanest" state and they fall for the person they truly are. I am sure when Ronan and Blaire work together, they can fight off whatever threat thrown to them. But before that, I have a bigger question for Ronan. What's with your obsession with plaid?!

This will be a perfect summer read! It’s got enemies to lovers which is one of my favorite tropes so it will be an exciting read!

Look, if you weren’t hungry before reading this book, you will be. Chances are that you picked up this book because you’re a cupcake craving rom-com lover anyway. In which case, I do highly recommend this book after the brief preview I’ve read of it.

Blaire Calloway is a cupcake and cocktail connoisseur desperate to prove that her cafe can be successful. She wants to avoid working with her parents as a fancy-shmacy chef, since she prefers frosting to truffles. Things are going great until one tiny hitch in her perfect plan-- or a tall, handsome one named Ronan Knight. He’s set up a sports bar next door where people can drink, eat, and throw axes… right at the wall that connects their shops (and houses expensive glasses, on Blaire’s side). After a calamitous first impression, they attempt to one-up each other constantly as they battle for customers.

The preview that I read only included the first few chapters but it was easily enough to make me hope to read more. Honestly, I preordered it immediately. I am such the biggest sucker for an enemies-to-lovers trope, and a food porn book. Talk cupcake to me, baby. Of course, the first first chapters still have me firmly in the ‘Ugh, this dude is such a jerk, I’ll never like him!’ phase. That never lasts though. Again, I’m a sucker. I already love our creative cake-maker protagonist and I'm excited to see how she handles the current tension and upcoming issues (the official book descriptions mentions a bigger threat to business).

Until I get to finish this book, I’ll go ahead and give it 5 out of 5 cupcakes in suspense!

Cute idea for a story.
My only concern was the way Blaire came off as a little immature. she didn't have enough pizzazz when it came to her getting annoyed with her shop's neighbor. She didn't deliver it the way it needed to be delivered. She came off like she was having a temper tantrum, not someone who knows what she wants and can express it whilst being snarky about it because she doesn't take mess. Those parts were a miss for me.
This is probably dislike to lovers or a hate to love book but, the interactions between Blaire and the guy (can't remember his name right now) didn't completely have me rooting for them. Then again, it was a preview so there's probably more moments that would make me root for them. It
I like that this centers small businesses. & a cupcake shop?! Sign me up. Love desserts. yum.
I am interested in seeing where the story goes.

I'm only rating this based on the fact that its a preview. I love Helena's work so I'm really excited to read this whole book. The preview was cute but I kinda wish it was the whole thing.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Blaire is pursuing her dream to open a cupcake cafe. The only thing getting in her way is the irritating owner of the bar next door, Ronan. I only read the first four chapters but this has all the makings of an enemies to lovers storyline. It was cute but I didn't really feel engaged in the story. The heroine seemed a little immature with her fixation on social media, unicorn martini glasses, and dog poop. Maybe it gets better as the book goes on.

Book seems interesting. It was a very short preview of the book. It really didn't spark my interest to want to read the whole book. Both bar owners are in competition ith each other to keep / gain new customers. Claire seems like an airhead.

Great teaser for this upcoming rom-com. I will definitely be picking up this book to read the rest.

I only had a preview of this book, but I am looking forward to picking it up to read more.

(I am giving the preview 4/5 stars because it made me want to read more).

I only received a preview of Kiss My Cupcake by Helena Hunting, so it is hard for me to right a great review on what I thought of this novel. But here is goes. From the little of Kiss My Cupcake I read I could tell it was a enemies to lovers romance novel with an extra layer of sweetness, provided by all the cupcakes and baking puns. Normally I am a huge fan of Rom-Coms but this one seemed a little immature. The fake poop... But the rival business owners going to war over new customers is a genuinely interesting subject and had me hooked. I can tell that it would be a fun read, even if some parts of it seem slightly childish. The only other real issue I had was the pacing. It seemed off. I am not sure if it was just the fact that I didn't have the whole novel that it seemed almost to fast or if it really was.

That all being said I am excited to get my hands on the full novel when it comes out because I have to know what pranks and sabotage ensue leading up to their eventual romance.

Well that was sweet and tart! I devoured the first few chapters in this preview and absolutely loved them! Such snarky chemistry between Ronan and Blaire. I'm looking forward to reading the entire thing, paired with a cupcake and a unicorn martini!
