I didnt realise there were other books in the series when I started this, but it is a ompletexstand alo e story and I didnt feel I'd missed anything having not read the earlier book in the series.

This is a story about Daniel who is a total workaholic - it's been expected of him since he was boy. He's never known anything else or wanted anything else. His friends think hes incapable of having a relationship for more than a few days. He returns home early from a business trip to find his house sitter, Jackie, in the bath and his friend assumes Daniel has been keeping a secret girlfriend. Grayson makes a huge bet with Daniel he won't still be in a relationship with Jackie by the time if Greysons wedding - challenge accepted.... nowcall Daniel needs to do is convince Jackie to pretend to be his girlfriend but things dont quite go to plan when Daniel finds himself not wanting to pretend anymore.

This is a relatively short, really easy read. It's got some quite graphic sex scenes but this is mixed in with some fantastic humour and adds some emotional depth - it's not just sex for the sake of it. I found the beginning a little bit repetitive but once the story gets going it's really good. Of course there is room for misunderstandings.... Daniel has no experience with relationships and Jackie hasn't had the life you'd expect meaning relationships are difficult for both of them. It's a comfortably predictable story. I really hate the title but really enjoyed the book.

This is book two in the Billionaire series. This is Daniel and Jackie’s story.

Daniel is always away on business trips and needs a house sitter for his fish. He’s never met Jackie before, but one time he comes home earlier from a business trip and stumbles upon a very naked Jackie in his bathtub.

His friend mistakes her for his girlfriend and gets a bet going that Daniel won’t be able to keep her for longer then a week, which is his usual dating period. Jackie is in when she hears the amount of money in the bet.

But once they start pretending, Jackie can’t shake the feeling there is more. But will Daniel continue with his workaholic way or will he find a way to keep her?

This was better than the first book. Yes, it was a quick two week thing and then the L word came into play, but the banter and chemistry between Daniel and Jackie was hot!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ebook copy in exchange for an honest review.

I went into this book with pretty high expectations after "Pregnant Competition" which I really enjoyed. This entry in the series was enjoyable, but I didn't like it quite as much as the first book. I enjoyed Jessica and Daniel's story, but I felt there wasn't enough of them falling for one another and it seemed to be all about sexual chemistry instead (not a great foundation for a long term relationship). The book one story fit perfectly into the shorter book length, but this one could have used maybe another 15-20 pages to establish their relationship. Their two weeks of living together is brushed over so quickly I forgot it happened. The conflict that keeps them apart was realistic, as was Daniel's realization that he couldn't keep living that kind of life and find any happiness for himself. I liked getting the update on Mila and Grayson because I liked them so much in the first book. I'm very much looking forward to reading book 3 in this series.

Billionaire Daniel Trent needs a date for his best friend’s wedding. The problem is his closest relationship is currently with his house sitter, Jackie Stone- who he’s never met. After a comedy of errors, Jackie agrees to be his date after Daniel’s friends make a bet against them. However things between this unlikely couple soon heats up and becomes more than they bargained for.

So this was a delightful story! Jackie was sweet and likable and her backstory was so sad I just wanted to hug her. And Daniel😍 Suave and sexy (as these tropey hunks often are), however I thought is was great that Leslie North portrayed the anxiety and high stress that often accompanies somebody who works at high levels. Often the men in this genre, particularly the wealthy and high powered male protagonists, are often depicted as cool, collected and disinterested. It was refreshing to see beyond the veil to a man who is really dealing with high functioning anxiety and feeling stuck by his circumstances.
.
This is the second book in a trilogy (somehow I started in the middle) but I will definitely be reading the rest. If you are a fan of romance, lots of fluff and characters that are relatable, I would definitely give this a go.

The billionaire’s pretend girlfriend by Leslie North.

2nd book in the series about 3 friends Grayson, Daniel and Blaze. This story is about Daniel the workaholic of the 3 always working even when he enters into a bet with Grays on. When he returns to his home early from an overseas trip and Grayson goes home with him Daniel finds a strange woman in his bath ! Grayson and him bet that she can’t be his girlfriend for the week of Graysons wedding celebrations. In reality the girlfriend is his house sitter Jackie whom he has never met. The fun begins when she eventually agrees to be his pretend girlfriend.

Quick fun adventure where they learn a lot about themselves. How their lives will change . Another successful read from Leslie North

I loved this book. Read it in node day after reading book one! Leslie North is a wonderful author whom is able to capture attention with this sweet book. It is sexy, mischievous and an easy read.
The punky princess aka house sitter Jackie comes into Daniels life with a water bomb of an explosion. From the very first they set eyes on each other; there was chemistry.
Jackie is an orphan and holds many trust and stability issues close to heart. Daniel is a workaholic; always late and always doing what’s he told.
Together; these two bring compassion, love, trust and fun to each others lives.
Awesome read

The second in a series is also a test to whether I’ll continue or not, but in this second of a series I was quite impressed. The continuation of Mila and Graysons story, with more details about graysons friend Daniel’s life including significant life change and realization that a work to live philosophy wasn’t really working g for him. This was a really cute romance and very easily to fly through!

Leslie North has done it again with The Billionaire’s Pretend Girlfriend!! This story was not only and easy read, but a quick and well written one. This story is a great one to pick up if you’re wanting something that can easily be read in a day.

I adored Jackie’s character. She had a heart of gold yet had a thick protective layer that cling to her from her past. I loved how she wasn’t afraid to force Daniel to turn off his work mode when need be.

One thing that I really enjoy about series like this is how the main characters from previous books get built into the follow up books. I enjoyed watching Mila & Grayson’s story continue and I can’t wait to see what’s next for Jackie & Daniel in the next book of the series!

Steamy Rating: 3/5 🔥🔥🔥

Thank you Relay Publishing and NetGalley for this copy of The Billionaire’s Pretend Girlfriend. While it’s number two in a series, this is the first book by a Leslie North that I have read. I didn’t feel behind or lost having not read the first book.

I loved the romance angle in this book - house-sitter asked to play the girlfriend, full of attraction and lust. I think the author did a good job of creating characters you wanted to root for, except the father naturally!

I really liked this book and I’m going to go find book 1 to read soon!

Book 2 of this series is just as good as Book 1. Daniel was a softy at heart who pretty much had enough of taking orders from his dad. He gave up everything for his dad and his job until he met a woman who made him want to change it all for love. I cannot wait to read the third book and see how Blake comes into love.

I've always been curious about a Leslie North story because of the prolific output. But always hesitated because the titles I'd see pretty much said it all, something like the Sheikh's Baby Mama or the Billionaire's Secretary is a Single Mom. usually I'd see in the descriptor that the romance entailed some sort of kid in the loop and -- while I have read these concepts and not minded all of them -- I usually hate the idea of a kid being part of the equation to trick/accelerate the get together. It should be on chemistry. Chemistry the author can translate in words that my brain will be able to transform into "the feels."

So, I would always carefully scan something from Leslie to see if it didn't have the baby in the mix. Thankfully, this came along via NetGalley. As a 1st foray into Leslie's work, it wasn't bad. Lots of tropes thrown into this -- pretend girlfriend, she's a struggling grad student from the foster system, billionaire workaholic, part of a trio of BFFs that are also billionaires so author can create a romance trilogy series that also serve as standalones, they are both super hot, they both help each other change/get over emotional obstacles -- but this is why we read books with super obvious covers and titles of The Billionaire’s Pretend Girlfriend. You know what you're gonna get and it's a quick read to a guaranteed HEA.

Second in this Leslie north series. In this book we have an infatuation between the workaholic rich guy and the house sitter. This story involves a wager, romance, steam and two people finding their way. A good second read.

A pleasant enough read. Not exactly exciting or deep. It seemed like an extended short story. There was little to get excited about. Just nice!

The Billionaire's Pretend Girlfriend is about Jackie and Daniel.
Daniel is a workaholic and Jackie is homeless. She works as a housekeeper for Daniel and one day she met him in some unfortunate but fortunate circumstances.

There due to some reason Daniel propose this idea of pretend girlfriend in exchange of money. She agrees and they together to the wedding.

Now, writing is simple, sexy and enjoyable. It's mostly like every other Billionaire's Pretend Girlfriend romance book.

Highly recommend for the romance lover and if you want to have a light read.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
💋💋

Yes !
Another great book in the series.
Daniel is Grayson’s best friend, he’s even more work obsessed than our Grayson was when Mila tamed him .
Can Daniel be changed too.?

Jackie is Daniels house sitter , she’s sweet , people orientated and has a heart of gold , she even sings to his fish ,bless her.

Daniel is driven hard in business by his boss and father, one in the same, but does he enjoy his work?
Does he see a different future for himself?
He didn’t till he met Jackie and now he’s smitten completely.
But will he change ,and how far will he fall before he realises he’s about to lose what’s most important.

Excellent second book, can’t wait to read Blake’s story.

Daniel is a busy executive with no time for a personal life. Leslie house sits to pay her way thru graduate college. Daniel returns early from a trip without telling Leslie and finds her naked in his bathtub. A hilarious scene follows. This is a light romance with good characters and a cute, tho predictable, plot. It is perfect for a summer afternoons entertainment. Thank you to netgalley for an advanced readers copy.

I was pulled in to this book and stayed there from the very first page! Leslie North starts this book off with a hilarious scene in a bathroom starring two strangers, a bubble bath, nudity, a wet floor, and a stand off! I love it when a book gets right into the story, without a lot of preamble, and this book definitely does that. And it just gets better from there.

Daniel is such a sexy and rigid leading man. He's a workaholic that will make your heart melt as you watch his own heart start to re-prioritize his life after one feisty and caring female enters it. I love how we get to know his back story and see how it shapes him into who he is today and the struggles he is facing. Jackie is happy, upbeat, smart, and sassy! We get to know a bit of her back story, but I wish it had been explored even more. I felt just a bit shortchanged as far as her emotional journey went.

If you read the first book in the series, followed by this book, you will notice some repetition in phrasing and in dialog. When this happens in books by the same author it feels just a bit like they are spitting out phrases and lines they have on a Romance Scene Spreadsheet. It's probably not too noticeable if you don't read the books back to back.

This book is steamy and sweet and I just loved it. I can't wait to read more from this series.

I received an ARC of this title from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
