I enjoyed this book, it was a book that kept my interest and had wonderful characters and an interesting storyline that kept me engaged throughout. While there were no surprises through the book it was still a wonderful read.

I had actually read The Vanishing, the first book in this planned trilogy, so it was cool to be able to get a copy of All the Colors of Night, which is the second book. Jayne Ann Krentz just has an amazing talent to create characters you care about and involve them in some page-turning adventures. She never fails, including here! Romantic, suspenseful and thought-provoking. I look forward to recommending this to readers.

This was an entertaining story with engaging main characters and the right touch of romance. I enjoyed the dialogue between the main characters and the plot moved along and kept me invested.

Sierra is a strong character and really needs no rescuing, which is appealing. This book opens with action and stays the course of action pretty much throughout the book. The characters take familiar roles but Krentz is able to create a steady pace and keep things interesting.

Jayne Anne Krentz hits it again with All the Colors of the Night. This contemporary paranormal thriller has a plot that’s dangerous yet alluring. Krentz’s signature humor threads through the novel. The characters are appealing and sexy. We even get a small shout out to the Arcane Society! It is refreshing, quirky and well drawn. I would highly recommend this book to my patrons (though they’ll all be waiting with bated breath for this new release anyway).

If you're familiar with Jayne Ann Krentz's books, you'll enjoy jumping right into the world of the paranormal in this second book in the Fogg Lake series. Sierra is a "go-between" Vault agent who authenticates and transports paranormal artifacts to clients. It's a dangerous job but she's good at it, using her powers as needed. North has powers of his own, but they're failing so he hires Sierra to help him find out what happened to his father. I love the interaction between Sierra and North as they work together and learn to care for each other. Lots of suspense, a touch of romance, and a good mystery make this a great read. Highly recommended.

I started "All the Colors of Night" yesterday and just finished it. I loved it! I've read just about everything Jayne Ann Krentz has published and this book did not let me down. Fans of JAK will be very happy and the fans that loved the Arcane series will be even happier. Even though it was very minor, I love the Jones references. Sierra and North were a great couple and I liked the trust they had in each other.

As a regular reader of JAK, I will admit that at the beginning of the book I was slightly disappointed with descriptions of some of the paranormal powers and issues from those powers that both the heroine and hero have/face. Sensitivity to touch and night vision/special glasses have already appeared in previous books from the Arcane series. However, as the book progressed, there were enough twists and turns that made those issues disappear for me.

This book is quick read. I felt that the characters and plot were more fleshed out than the first book in the Fogg Lake series. And I wonder, with at least two Joneses named in this book whether there will be some kind of tie in to the Arcane series in the future.

Overall, it's another winner.

2nd Fogg Lake book and it is great. Loved the characters and the storyline. Each chapter makes you want to go on to the next one until it all comes together with a satisfying ending. Hope book #3 gets here soon.

Krentz's longevity as a high-demand author lies in large part to her ability to flex and freshen without leaving behind the immense corpus of her work that has won her millions of readers.

This new series, Fogg Lake, illustrates the integration of her past writing traits with new and fresh approaches to those traits. The two books in the series are tightly crafted, generally cohesive, and display stronger writing than her previous books, in my opinion.

For me, there is nothing better than a free Friday night and a new Krentz book. This second in the series continues the strong entries in the Krentz offerings. These are fun, undemanding, and entertaining.

Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for the advance readers' copy. This title is set to publish early January, 2021.

another winner for Krentz. I love this series and can see she left the door open for the next one. Sierra and North really made it special. good to see old friends too.

So the good news for fans of this author's paranormal genre work: you'll like this book. It has all of the Krentz paranormal trademark elements: a heroine who's been screwed over and is thus suspicious of both authority and men, a hero who is damaged in some way, and a mystery that requires teamwork between the two to be solved. This one does have some elements that made it stand out to me; Sierra's lack of naivete was refreshing, and North's instant respect of her and her abilities was pretty appealing. For those who like variety, however, I'd recommend looking elsewhere, as the plot is pretty color-by-numbers, and the villain kind of yawn-worthy.

Jayne Ann Krentz is responsible for my love of romance novels, thus I have adored every single thing she has ever put out. Basic science. The last few books of hers I've enjoyed greatly, but All The Colors of the Night struck a chord deep inside me, reminding me of the whole reason that I loved her to begin with.

All the Colors of the Night is the second in the Fogg Lake series, featuring a town with psychic secrets. It's seriously got everything that you could ever want from a romantic suspense: twists and turns, a multitude of people whom cannot be trusted, secret caves, mysterious fog, and a bad ass duo on the case. I'll tell you right now that I have never, ever guessed the ending to a Jayne Ann Krentz romantic suspense. She is so good at leading you along, making you believe that you know exactly where it's headed, only to rip the rug out from under you and turn your assumptions entirely on their heads.

Krentz heroines are always winners, but Sierra Raines is top notch. She a high-level psychic who doesn't need any man to protect her. She's sex-positive (none of the hemming and hawing of Krentz's early 90s heroines) and has no trouble speaking her mind. AND SHE USES THE BATHROOM. No joke. I know that's pretty rare for romance heroines, but I nearly did a spit take when she tells him, after their romantic night in a cave, that she needs to go out and go to the bathroom really quick. In the wild. It made me so happy to see that.

And North is an impeccable hero. He's saved time and time again by our heroine and never once does he feel emasculated by that fact. No, he feels grateful. He treats her as an equal and, so wonderfully, he has no problem voicing his feelings for her on a regular basis. He'll go down in the books as one of my favorite Krentz heroes.

This book will knock the socks off Krentz fans. The first book in the series was good, but this is truly a return to the Krentz that we've all grown to love over many, many years. I cannot see how anyone will be disappointed. All the Colors of the Night is one for the re-read pile.

I am usually a big fan of the author's paranormal stories; however, I did not connect to this one as much. The central relationship seemed too rushed, and the plot seemed resolved too quickly.

One of my favorite authors! A really good addition to her series. I like the gothic feel to the story. It was interesting, at times a bit thrilling with just enough romance to make me happy. Can't wait for more!
