Hilarious and entertaining, this book had a little of everything. I really liked the characters and their chemistry which kept me engaged. Some spicy romance pieces that kept the story on its toes. I often find that while some books are entertaining they don’t always reach the level of making me smile, get chills or tear up. This book hit the right notes and some parts actually had me chuckling out loud.

Special thanks to #FixHerUp #Netgalley for the opportunity to have access to an advanced readers copy of this book

Bad boy and sweet innocent girl. A fake makeover. A fake relationship. A meddlesome family. And lots of sex. A fun easy read.

Cute read—loved the characters! Laughed out loud several times.

Pretty serious sexual content so if you aren’t into that, this isn’t for you, no matter how adorable the characters were.

This book was laugh out funny at parts and making you want to sob at other parts. I really enjoyed the characters and found myself not wanting to put this book down.

This book was the Rom-Com my heart NEEDED.

I loved the wit and banter, the fake dating trope, and Georgies attitude towards everything and everyone. This book did take me a little bit to get into because at first, their banter was more on the mean side but gradually, the slow burn romance won me over. I read this in one day and Tessa Bailey is officially an auto buy author for me!

This definitely has some detailed spicy scenes which I wasn’t expecting, but I’m definitely NOT mad at 😉🔥

I enjoyed the overall premise of the book but the execution was lacking. It builds up back story for the remaining books in the series and I feel like the other books may be more enjoyable than the first book. I felt that the mention of Georgie's career and emphasis of her a clown was tiring. I also did not like the way Travis spoke. It may be a personal choice but he kept calling Georgie "baby girl" and that phrase got in the way of me enjoying the book.

Fun and adorable romantic comedy. Good for a beach read or just relaxing. The usual tropes but a good read.

Tessa Bailey writes a cute story based on fake dating. Georgie is a 23 year old woman that is striving to be taken seriously by her family and community. She works as a clown for children’s parties and wears overalls on her days off. Her old crush moves back into town after an injury that stops his baseball career. He also happens to be her older brothers best friend. He is trying to break into sports broadcasting and needs to appear as a family man instead of the player that he is known as. The two decide to fake date so that everyone will view them differently. It’s a cute story with a lot of steam in it. The steam fills up a lot of the story line.

Thank you Netgalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Holy Moly, I wasn't expecting the heat. I was definitely entertained by the book and hope to continue the series.

What a steamy romance! Though I found the story line to be a bit far fetched, this was an easy read for me. I did find the love scenes to be a bit too intense for my personal preference, however, it was fun to see how the romance that developed between the characters.

This could have been a cute book, but I was turned off by the overly raunchy sex talk. It made both the main characters unlikeable. Georgie was too submissive and lacking in self-confidence to be likeable. And Travis just came across as a sex-crazed egotist. The character development just wasn't there. I won't be reading any sequels.

I really wanted to like this book. However, I found the storyline of Georgie wanting to prove she was a grown up and Travis calling her baby girl (All.the.time) very contradictory. I enjoyed the characters and overall the plot and storyline (younger sister's love for older brother's best friend coming true) to be enjoyable. I did not like how aggressive Travis was during their intimate moments. And again, the baby girl nickname was hard to get past for me. Overall I gave this a 3 star rating, it was a quick read that did hold my interest.

This sizzling hot book will find you cheering for the characters. When her brother’s best friend, a baseball star who recently retired due to injury, comes home, innocent Georgie finds herself drawn to him. He has a reputation as a lady’s man, and he’s not about to take advantage of his friend’s kid sister. He pushes her off, but it isn’t long before he finds himself responding to her.

While I enjoyed this book and thought it very well written, it’s not for the skittish and tame. This book is filled with hot sex, BSDM, and crude language. If you’re looking for a clean romance, this is NOT it. However, if you’re looking for a book that will find you rooting for the characters to get together and don’t mind the steamy bedroom scenes, you’ll likely enjoy this one.

This is the first book in a series. I hope to read the others at some point. This was a perfect book to read when under duress.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley. I thank them for their generosity, but it had not effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey is a romance with a good portion of sex thrown in. Georgie has been in love with her brother's best friend since middle school. He is a professional baseball player. She is a clown. Literally. He comes home to lick his wounds when his career has ended due to an injury. And it's been a month now, and no sign of him. Georgie hears from her brother than he is holing up and drinking and feeling sorry for himself. She goes to his apartment and gives him what for, starting with throwing melted ice cream over him and then lo mien. He is not happy. She is a pest. It does, however, snap him out of his funk, and he reports to Stephen, Georgie's brother who runs a house-flipping business, for a job. Things proceed awkwardly until Georgie and Travis agree to pretend to be in love: she to wake her family up to the fact she is an adult. He: to provide a family-friendly image to the head of a network that is looking for on on-air broadcaster. Ya gotta know where this is headed.

This is a cute story that didn't really need the sex to make it readable. That's what Tessa Bailey does: sex. The two falling in love was an entertaining journey between two simplistic characters that do at least have senses of humor. Georgie is a birthday party clown, her own business, but she recognizes how much more she could do if she could provide more services. She just doesn't have the confidence. Travis has lots of demons from his childhood, which he needs to expunge. His parents, especially his father, had never been supportive, in fact had been purposely negative, tearing him down at every opportunity. Georgie saw this and determined to fix it, which she did. Travis finally got it, too. It was a fun read.

The storyline itself was a bit quirky and a nice romantic tale but the sex “scenes” were a bit over the top. Admittedly adding the sexual tension between the two main characters, Georgie and Travis, gives the book some spice and even the sexual encounters themselves elevate this about a sweet little romance novel. But the dirty talk by Travis from the first encounter with his best friend’s baby sister was too much. Although a ‘player” with other women, given his obvious different feelings towards Georgie, one would expect he would treat her with a little more respect in their early physical relationship, especially since he knows she is a virgin. I am no prude but this was a bit off putting in an otherwise enjoyable romance.

This book was a very fun and light romcom but it was far too steamy for my liking and I couldn’t stand the gross “babygirl” nickname.

This is a really cute book. I like the characters and the plot. Georgie is so cute and I rooted for her and Travis! Her being a clown is such an original idea! The two of them mesh so well together and are so good for each other! I highly recommend this.

I had really high hopes for this book but the story just did not draw my attention right away so I wasn’t able to finish the book.

This was a sweet humorous read with serious dashes of steamy. The writing was engaging and you were left wanting to now more about the entire cast of characters.
Georgette Castle is struggling to have the world take her seriously, even her own family still sees her as the youngest child. What is the ultimate cure for that? Date the town's recently returned bad-boy Travis Ford.
Travis just wants to be left alone after the end of his baseball career, but Georgie just won't let him sulk. And when a game changing career opportunity comes about, fake dating his best-friends little sister may be the only option to clean up his reputation. But there are rules, this is a fake relationship with a time limit. However, attraction and love never played by the rules.
This is the perfect summer read. Cannot wait to read the next book.

I did not finish this book. It started out as a silly romance where the lead female character, Georgie, has had a crush on the lead male character, Travis, since she was very young and he was her older brother's friend. He becomes a professional baseball player who not only plays on the field but also off the field. He is released from the team due to an injury and returns to his home town. He's wallowing in self pity when Georgie shows up and throws food at him and somehow that gets him moving again. Then the book turned to porn. I don't have an issue with that but it was no longer a romance but just a book about porn.
