A sweet simple story of how a trip on an Amazon cruise changed a female business executive's life. The plot was engaging, and the characters were interesting, but I wish the author followed the writing adage to "show, not tell" more often. I felt like too many times the author was narrating how the characters felt, rather than showing me and letting me draw my own conclusions. Still, an enjoyable, quick, light read.

Ahhh I loved this book so much!!! Everly and Asher have such a fun romp in the jungle, with so much hilarity that I couldn’t put it down. What a fun, fun romance!

I look forward to Macomber's Christmas books every year and I enjoy reading it and I almost always love her Christmas book. But for some reason this year the book fell flat for me. I think it's because it wasn't a typical Christmas setting. And after the year that this year has been I was looking forward to the traditional cozy Christmas read. However like always Macomber's story telling and writing is on point. So while I didn't enjoy this one. Someone else will.

Daisy aka Everly is a workaholic who can't seem to catch a break. First it was when a person close to her makes her work with his niece who is incompetent's and tries to fire her only to be put on forced vacation herself. It kinda sounded good at first a two week vacation on a luxury cruise until it wasn't when she realized it wasn't what she expected. Now she must make the best of it. She never expected so much mishaps or possibly love come her way but its only for two weeks.

I just loved this fun light hearted book. Poor Everly was just trying to do her best, but its more or less hitting to a point where her job was her life, sacrificing family, dating, and even a life for her job. Then she's forced into this vacation and dealing with her friends vindictive niece who tricked her. Women was struggling and eventually had to learn to deal with it and go with the flow which wasn't easy when whatever could happen did happen. There was so much close class, mishaps and mistakes but that made the book all the more fun to read. Overall great book I really enjoyed it, it also takes place during the holidays so if you are a seasonal reader who likes to read books during the time the books are set then I suggest reading this. Such a fun read.

Reader's can always count on Debbie Macomber to deliver a solid, feel-good story and this one is no different. While the language is a little stilted and not what the age group character would probably say, it is a sweet read. The plot is fun and flows nicely. The title suggests a strictly Christmas novel, the storyline just touches on the season. However, fans of Macomber will like this one. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy.

Such a fun, lighthearted, laugh out loud holiday story! Just we all need during this very difficult holiday season. Appreciated the time away from reality! Thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advance copy.

My Review: Debbie Macomber has become a holiday staple for me. It doesn't feel like the Christmas season until I have read her new holiday release. I was lucky enough to get to read this one a little early and it was a great way to get me into the spirit (and get my holiday shopping started early). I felt connected Everly immediately, the constant weight of the business on her shoulders and lack of time to take an actual vacation. Then the vacation she does get isn't quite what she had hoped for or needed. While this book doesn't feel real Christmassy at first, give it time, it does get there. We do get that classic coming home, family and small town feel good Christmas feeling and it is so worth it. Asher seems like a perfect hero from the get-go but he has quite the personal journey to go on and while we don't get to see a lot of it, I do like he growth. This was another great holiday read, different from so many others I have read; yet it still had all the feelings I hoped to have.

Everly, aka Daisy, doesn't know when to take a break. After she insists on firing her assistant, her business partner forces her to take a month off from work. Her assistant, for now, books her on a cruise in Brazil but the trip is nothing like Everly expected.

Within hours of stepping on the ship she falls ill and a dashing adventurer named Asher is there to nurse her through her illness.

This book is perfect for fans of Hallmark Christmas movies and tried and true Macomber fans. This is a quick, light read. And while there are no surprises, that is exactly what readers of this genre want. My one critique is that Macomber does a lot more telling than showing the developing relationship which leaves the book flat.

Macomber completionists will not be disappointed and I think there will be a demand for the title even though she has a lot better books and series to choose from.

Thank you to Ballentine Books for an ebook copy for review.

Jingle All the Way by Debbie Macomber is a 2020 Ballantine publication.

Funny and sweet!

After a fiasco involving her new assistant, who happens to be her boss’s niece, Everly is sent on a long overdue vacation. Although reluctant at first, the thought of a luxury cruise does sound nice. Unfortunately, the vengeful assistant booked a cruise in the Amazon just for spite-

Poor Everly encounters one mishap after another, but her naturalist guide, Asher, helps her forget all about the internet, and shows her the magnificence of the Amazon. Her time away without all her technological connections give Everly time to reflect on her life, as her friendship with Asher deepens. But what will she and Asher do once the cruise is over?

This is a very pleasant contemporary romance that couples a little light humor in with a little adventure and a sweet romance, and ends with a segue into the spirit of the holiday season.

As a few other reviewers have noted, the title and cover is misleading, because Christmas doesn't play a role this story until the very last part of the book. The plus side to that, though, is this book can be enjoyed at any time of the year.

Due to the length of the story, the chemistry between Everly and Asher was a little forced and the romance felt a bit rushed- but it was still lovely watching the couple fall in love.

For me, the growth between Everly and her sisters was the most heartwarming aspect of the story. The way everything turned out for Everly, Asher and her family left a big smile on my face!

Overall, I enjoyed this gentle story. It was a like soothingly balm in a time of turmoil and anxiety. I think I may need to add more Debbie Macomber to my reading list!

This was a really cute book. Not like other Christmas books I have read. I throughly enjoyed it. I would recommend this book. It is a must read.

I was excited to get this because I really like Debbie Macomber’s books, but it fell a little short for me. I was originally attracted to it because of the setting - a cruise in the Amazon sounded great. But that was really the best part of the book. Everly and Asher were rather flat in their characterizations, and many of the situations were flat as well. It was just very lightly developed. It was a quick read and a sweet clean romance, with a slight flavor of Christmas to make it a Christmas novel. It was a nice escape read.

Thanks to Netgalley and Random House/Ballantine for an ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.

Jingle All the Way by Debbie Macomber was a fun read. Right from the start you should know that this book is not loaded from beginning to end with Christmas cheer. The name and the cover are a tad misleading.
I am a huge Debbie Macomber fan. I love her writing style, her descriptive settings and her character development and this book did not disappoint. This is a lovely romantic story that I just read in two sittings. While most of the book takes place in the Amazon Rain Forest you will get your dose of Christmas warmth at the end of the book. There are pink dolphins instead of reindeer. I did not care that this was not a full fledged Christmas story but that might be a problem for some readers.
As always, there is a blooming love affair with a happy ending which is so Debbie Macomber. After all she is the Queen of the happily ever after romance! The story is full of confusion, affection, misunderstanding, love and family while offering some adventure. It is a delightful read. I can’t wait to see what Debbie Macomber has in store for us next.

I would like to thank Random House Publishing Group – Ballantine, Debbie Macomber and Net Galley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I am a huge fan of Debbie Macomber’s books, so I was so excited for her newest release. This one unfortunately missed the mark for me. I liked the idea of the Amazon cruise theme, but I wasn’t really getting the Christmas vibes from it. It is a quick and easy read, and could be finished in a day or two. It’s a good book, but just be prepared for it not to be very Christmasy.

A heart-warming story for the upcoming holiday season! Great tale that tracks Everly's adventures on an Amazon River cruise, which wasn't really what she'd wanted for a holiday vacation, but ended up being a life-changing trip that helped her re-focus her life and priorities. A wonderful tale to curl up with by the fire with hot chocolate to discover what happens with Everly and Asher. Another winner for Debbie Macomber!

It is always a treat to read the new Debbie Macomber's Christmas book. I look forward to opening the book and being transformed into the Christmas spirit no matter what time of year it is. This year is no exception.

I found this book a little different than others. Maybe is was the location: The Amazon. It sure took me to a location I have never thought to go. Everly had no interest in going there either. But she sure was glad she went.

This story demonstrated that there are moments in time where we have to re-evaluate where we are and where do we want to be in the future. I for one know that this is true. Taking a risk is not easy. Change is not easy.

Pick up your copy now and get in the Christmas mood with Everly/Daisy.

Thanks, Debbie!

Debbie Macomber does an excellent job with a warm holiday tale. This is another success. The twist of the scheming assistant who books the high powered real estate exec on a far from civilization and internet Amazon cruise is a good one. How better to break a workaholic’s pattern. There is romance, one with some challenges. you will keep reading and enjoying.

Debbie Macomber is one of those authors that when I see a new book come out I need to read it! And "Jingle All the Way" was one I am glad I read! I adore Christmas stories and this was one I wasn't able to put down! Eberly/Daisy was a well developed character who was easy to root for. She was a focused, busy woman who is forced to take a vacation and it does her a world of good.

I've long been a Debbie Macomber fan, but this book was off the mark for me. It felt very drawn out and slow. The romance between Daisy/Everly and Asher was.... lackluster. I didn't feel the chemistry and honestly, I found the back and forth rather annoying. Which is odd because it's a romance novel and that's what makes the genre. But in this book it just didn't work for me.

I actually found myself more interested in the story when it was just Daisy/Everly at the farm with her family or in Chicago at work. Even on the cruise, I was more interested in Daisy on her own or her interactions with other characters than with Asher. I think perhaps he was the real issue for me - I don't think I enjoyed him much as a leading man.

I'll continue to look forward to Debbie Macomber books, but Jingle All the Way just didn't do it for me.

Would you enjoy going on a Christmas cruise? I've never gone on one but do think it would be fun.
What if the cruise you had planned on going on was not the one you had to go on? This is what happens to Everly Lancaster when her inept assistant books her the wrong one.
A fun shipboard romance is not what this workaholic is looking for but she may just have to take it and run.
Charming naturalist Asher Adams is the tour guide for the weekend Amazon cruise and when Everly gets sick he spends a lot of time with her helping her to feel better.
Sparks fly on the water but what will happen when life goes back to normal after the ship docks and the fun is over.
Debbie Macomber's Christmas books never disappoint I've been reading them for years and they are something I look forward to. Heck I don't just look forward to her Christmas books I love reading all her new books!
