I really enjoyed reading this book the characters were great and I really enjoyed the plot and scifi element. I look forward to more from the author.

This is a lovely coming-of-age story that centers on Melissa, a young woman dealing with overbearing parents and an adult future that she is not quite ready for. The characters are well-developed, although the dream-like sequences that the main character engages in can be unsettling. The beginning of the book was reminiscent of The Secret Garden with lots of exposition and lofty writing. I think my students would like this as an option for a coming-of-age story, especially students who like paranormal romance.
