Who would have thought that Domino would deliver .......

Another great psychological thriller and police procedural..

The first few chapters of this book had me sitting on the end of the chair waiting for the next thrilling twist or turn. Following that I must admit I did lose some interest but I am so glad I stuck with the book as it nded up being a great read.

I am giving this 4 stars and my only constructive criticism would be to spread out the tension and excitement of the first few chapters into something more that led us through the rest of the book..

\reading through the book the writing style clearly shows Diane Saxon, love of animals, people and life. Her switch from romantic fiction to writing psychological thrillers was a great move and although this is definitely not a piece of romantic fiction you can feel the author's love and connection with her characters, especially DS Jenna Morgan and also with Domino.

This is the third book in the DS Jenna Morgan series and although it is the first book that I have read by Diane I did not feel I had missed out on any part of the story but will make sure I check out the other books in the series and also for her other work.

I received a free ebook of this title from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review..

I won’t spoil it for you but the opening to this story is fantastic!

If you’re looking for a book which immediately draws you in and leaves you wanting more then you need to read What She Saw! Plenty of action throughout the story and nothing is given away. Great characters and settings. Jenna could have been written better but if that’s my only complaint you know it’s a good book!

4/5

Fantastic thriller. Poppy is a teenager who has snuck her boyfriend into her room after a family party. The next minute he has been shot dead and she has been seriously injured.

The story flows between Poppy hiding away and DS Jenna Morgan who is trying to find out what happened at the house. 4/5

This crime novel grabs you right from the opening paragraphs. It has has a shocking opening and continues on from there. The novel opens with a teenager lying on her bedroom floor staring up at her father who has just shot her and and also her boyfriend. The boyfriend is dead. Thus, begins this family annihilation scenario. After we leave Poppy behind, we jump to DS Jenna Morgan’s side of story and pick up there. The novel alternates with some snatches of the Poppy’s father’s POV and actions.

There is a lot of action and tension throughout the course of the book. It makes for very quick and un-put-downable reading. The action writing and the character of Poppy was well done. The depiction of a family annihilator was intriguing and well thought out. I actually did not connect with Jenna as much as some of the lead characters in other police procedural series I read. Definitely a good read for those who enjoy fast paced thriller style police procedurals.

what a brilliant start for this book. i had knots in my stomach reading.
Poppy Lawrence, and what she saw is harrowing, the oldest child of brutal Gordon Lawrence, going on a shooting spree through his family home Kimble Hall. Poppy is suffering a big loss and flees away escapes.
Jenna and Mason are called in after the house is up in flames and need to discover who are inside.
this is one nasty business, he wasnt a well liked man. this book will freak and grip you. so who did set the fire? so many twists and turns are in store.
its a race against time for Poppy is death only a step away and can she be saved?

Book 2 in series DS Jenna
Very graphic
DS Jenna and secondary characters were likeable.
Story is told by the hours after it happened.
Domino side job wasn't really funny, but made me laugh.
