I was not expecting that I would like this book as much as I did! This is a new to me author and she really really surprised me with this story. I absolutely adored it.

Jessie is a people-pleaser; she can't say "no" so she's always busy and on the go. It's for this reason that she meets Devin at a party and is definitely interested in him. Devin is a grump to put it mildly. Although he's interested in Jessie, he won't act on it as she's not his type. Jessie decides to pursue Devin and that's when the fun begins.

To be honest, I thought that Jessie was flighty and not a match for Devin, but as the two spend more time together, you begin to see that she has more to offer than fun and games. Devin is not one for change, but Jessie challenges him to try new things. They begin to bring out the best in each other until miscommunication brings it all to a halt.

I liked the story; it was an easy read and I finished it in one day as I had to find out what happens next. I look forward to Becs' story and perhaps some of Jessie's siblings.

This has all the charm of the previous book (which I adored!), and I enjoyed reading it. The characters were fleshed-out well, and their was chemistry between Jessie and Devin.

I still couldn't quite get into it as much as I wanted to though. I don't know if it was Devin's aloof personality, or maybe Jessie's pushiness that sort of didn't work for me. The premise of Devin fighting the relationship for no real reason was probably it, since it wasn't really a slow burn as much as him just being stubborn.

Blurb: Jessica ‘Jessie’ Allen is sugary sweet and perpetually perky. Running on an endless supply of enthusiasm, she’s in constant motion. The people pleaser is running herself ragged to make other people happy—anything to avoid having to figure out what would make her happy.
Devin Bennett is her complete opposite, the immovable object to Jessie’s unstoppable force. The tall, tattooed and brooding mechanic hates change and the perky blonde co-ed shoving it down his throat. Jessie is drawn to him like a valley girl to an outlet mall, but Devin dodges her advances better than a UFC fighter. The longer she’s around, the harder it is to keep his hands off her perfect body and his lips away from her sassy mouth.
For the first time in her life, Jessie knows what she wants. Devin Bennett. And she’s not above torturing him with temptation to make it happen.

This is the second book in the series. I loved the first book so much but not this one. It was missing something. I found Jessie’s drooling over Devin off putting. Devin was supposed to be aloof but comes across as one dimensional. I didn’t care for his character. I couldn’t connect to the characters and wasn’t vested in the story.
Thank you to the publisher for providing an ARC.

Thank you NetGalley, Totally Bound Publishing and Amelia Kingston for gifting me an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I’m such a sucker for a good opposites attract troupe! This was my first book by Amelia Kingston, but book number two in her So Far, So Good series! I had no problem reading this as a standalone and while I do know where the characters in book one end up, I don’t feel like it’s ruined for me in any way!
Jessica Allen, Jessie to her friends and family, is always happy. A constant smile on her face and energy levels to rival a toddler, she knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to go and get it. She also may or may not have an issue with telling everyone else in her life no and is starting to feel the burn out. When she meets Devin, her attention quickly focuses on him. Devin is everything she’s not, moody and stubborn, he finds her irresistibly annoying... but mostly annoying.
I loved their chemistry, the will they, won’t they banter was fun and steamy throughout, but I was a little disappointed in the second half of the book. I felt like things got a little too cheesy for me personally. The beginning of the book was a perfect slow burn that quickly turned full inferno. The ending moved a wee fast for my taste! There is a major audience for the instant love troupe so take my word with a grain of salt.
I also feel like it needs to be said that if the roles were reversed the Devin acted the way Jessie did when she was seducing him in the beginning... he’d probably be in jail for being a stalker. Just saying!

Jessie Allen is used to guys being openly interested in her. Except Devin is not one of them. So she makes it her mission he will be. For the first time, Jessie is the one doing the chasing.

It’s so refreshing to see a woman going after a guy in a romance novel. It was so funny to read because Devin was this grumpy man who couldn’t stand her but at the same time wanted her so much. The chemistry between them was scorching hot!

Devin is avoiding her because he thinks this is only a game to her. But once feelings started to get involved…

I cannot mention it enough how much I loved this book. I need this book on my shelf, like yesterday. It’s one of the best enemies-to-lovers/opposites attract books I’ve ever read and definitely one of my top 2020 reads!

5 adoring stars.

This is the second book in the series, but can be totally read as a standalone.

On one hand, you have Jessie, a ray of sunshine sorority girl in her senior year of college. She's so busy making everyone else happy that she doesn't start making herself happy, until she sets her sights on Devin! Devin is a broody, grumpy, gruff guy that does NOT want to get involved with Little Mary Sunshine, but he simply can't resist, or at least he can't resist forever.

All that resisting does make this a bit of a slow-burn, but it's fast-paced enough that you can devour the book quickly, which I did. The banter, the steam, the humor - it has it all. For a big grump, Devin is surprisingly warm and tender the way that Amelia Kingston has written him. The connection between Jessie and Devin is sweet and evident through the entire book.

I'm looking forward to more by Ms. Kingston.

An enjoyable book with an opposites attract theme. Jessie and Devin are very well-written characters. I really liked how they interacted—funny and sassy both. Devin’s grunts and growls fit him to a ‘T’, while Jessie was perky and snarky, with confidence that just didn’t quit. Their romance took a bit long to develop, even though we knew it would get there, it just seemed to drag a bit. I enjoyed this plot, laughing along I many places, and fell in love with little sister Becs. I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. This is my freely given, honest review.

***3 Stars***

This one was a rough one for me, and totally falls under the whole “It’s not you, it’s me” shelf because try as I might, I just couldn’t totally get into Jessie and Devin and I needed more from their relationship. I need more depth, I needed to see them truly connect outside of the physical. I needed them to truly rip each others walls totally down, have a come to Jesus moment and get the HEA they both deserved, because they both truly did deserve it. But it just felt like I got a lot of other people ~ their friends and family ~ telling they who they were but them not doing it themselves and when anything person did come up it was just surface.

I don’t know. I was all kinds of excited to dive back into this world since I thoroughly enjoyed So That Got Weird, and this baby had some great moments, but I just needed...more. But I do intend to keep an eye out for the next book in the series to see just who will get their HEA next.

Fun quirky read. The main female character was a force to be reckoned with. I mean loved her. Love her go get wants attitude and takes no prisoners. Its been awhile since I have love a female MC so much. The male, hello grumpy.
If you are looking for a fun summer, cute New Adult romance, jump into this one.

This is So Happening is the second book in the So Far, So Good series, but it was great as a stand-alone. It was funny and full of sassiness. It was easy to ready and I loved the characters. They were realistic and so perfect for each other. Jessie was sunshine, happy, and so positive. Devin had a rough childhood and feared becoming attached to someone. He liked peace and quiet, but Jessie’s chatter and openness made his days lighter! I loved this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.

The storyline was well written and the characters were created with such great detail and depth that Devin and Jessie kept me turning the pages until the very end!

A cute fast romance read perfect for a day on the beach. Just the right amount of angst. I wasn't too sure about the characters at first, but by the end I was rooting for them. Jessie grabbed my heart strings. I will definitely read this author again.

I like to try new authors, because you never know if you'll stumble upon something nice. And today was a day for stumbling: Amelia writes in a very funny, easy way, which sucks you into the story right away. We follow Jessie, a happy-go-lucky-going-ten-miles-a-day, who is working her way through school, clubs, sports, coaching, working and studying. Cheery, bouncing through life and calling and texting with the whole wide world.
And we have Devin, tattooed mechanic, brooding and grunting through life. His most loyal friend is Austin (I really want to read his story as well in So, That Got Weird) and furthermore he lives his life very solitairy.
When Jessie meets Devin, she decides she is going to make it her new mission to have Devin smile. And whilst doing so, she finds out that she can't stop thinking about the guy. So, she decides he will be her boyfriend. But that is not on Devin's agenda, because he doesn't need a girl in his life. Especially not since his mother walked out on him as a tottler and since his father went to jail. He wants to focus on his little sister Becks and on his work. But Jessie isn't above cheating and begging, to get what she wants. So, watch out Devin, because it is so happening... Fun, laughter and a great read. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

This sweet and sexy romance seems light-hearted at first, but there is actually a lot of depth to the story. Jessie is a sweet and happy "yes" girl that is always overwhelmed because of having way too much on her plate. Devin is a quiet, grumpy, and cynical mechanic that is often overwhelmed with running to the auto shop and worrying about his younger sister. When the unlikely pair meet, there are instant sparks between them, but Devin has no interest in anything further because they are so different. But Jessie keeps pushing and persisting trying to get him to give in.

I really loved Jessie's character, although at first, I thought her pushiness with Devin was a bit over the top. As far as Devin goes, I don't care how grumpy and stubborn that man was, he was just yummy! By the end of the book, he had completely stolen my heart.

Even with my major love for the characters, I was initially thinking this was maybe a 3-3.5 star read for me, simply because the plot isn't unique and I feel like it's a story I've read 100 times. But then I was thinking of all the layers that are peeled back regarding the characterization, so I am bumping this up to a 4 star read. The author did a great job showing the growth and change in both Jessie and Devin as they realized it's o.k. to step outside their comfort zones.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this book.
I don't know what it was, but I feel like I was in the perfect mood to read this book. At times, the American college story can put me off. Here though, I think I liked the main characters enough that it turned out to be a fun, sweet, read. It was different in the way that Jessie was bright and determined and worked hard to get Devin, and he was gruff and didn't give in right away.
3.75 stars for the light romance with the HEA.

Devin is the grumpy one and jessica is sunshine girl. Jessica and devin met at the party. Jessica knew that devin is the that she want. The book is HEA. It's a light book. But i skip a lot of page to read the final chapter and epilogue.

They end up having 2 babies. One a girl and one a boy

I've been reading quite a few darker books lately, but sometimes, what you really need is something a bit more light-hearted. This is So Happening ticked all the boxes on that front.
Jessie always has too much on her plate, she can't say no to anyone and always has a lot of things on the go. When she meets Devin (which seems to be pronounced like the county, although it's spelt differently) she can't resist trying to win him over and becoming his girlfriend. Devin doesn't want a relationship, particularly with sunny Jessie, he has a lot of baggage from his parents and his upbringing and he's reluctant to get involved with a woman whose interest is likely to be only fleeting.
I loved the contrast of gruff Devin and lighthearted Jessie. It was clear that despite their differences, they were actually a really good match. I also quite liked the way that she did all the chasing. I don't usually like to see such a miss-match, but it was fun seeing her try to win him over, while he tried to push her away.
As romances go, this is more to the light-hearted, romantic comedy end of things, which isn't always my kind of thing, but I actually really enjoyed it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

If you're looking for a sweet college romance, this is it! The book is unique with real character values, like independence, among others.

I'm not really a fan of dialogue romances but this is a choice one
