This is such a cute rom com! I loved Ava! This book was a quick read- completed reading in 2 days so you know I liked it! I love that there were realistic challenges to a relationship and showed cracks that seems plausible. Would recommend for sure!

Was not able to read before the publish date, my library has purchased several copies of this book and it seems to be doing well.

Sophie Kinsella does it again and I’m left with zero questions as to why I always go for this author’s books. Compared to her couple of past releases, I truly felt like Love Your Life brought back so much of Kinsella’s “norm”... an obnoxious, witty, laugh out loud story with the best group of characters. This story asks the question, can opposites really attract? From a meet-cute at a writer’s retreat in Italy to a whirlwind love affair, this was exactly the lighthearted, sweet, emotional, FUN story I didn’t realize I was needing in my life. I’ll be honest that I struggled a bit in the beginning but by the middle to end, all was redeemed as I was all in and couldn’t put it down. Even though the characters tended to be over the top, as is common with Kinsella’s writing, she always has a way through this to really get to the core and good stuff of who we all are as people, and that makes her characters so real and relatable regardless of their antics. You can almost always find people in your own life (or yourself) who fits these characters, and that in itself is a testament to how cleverly written and well developed her characters are.

As a side note, I do want to mention that Kinsella did a fantastic job of exploring and representing chronic illness here. It was an element that stood out to me and I found I really appreciated after closing the book.

Kinsella is the queen of the chick-lit/rom-com genres and if you haven’t already discovered that for yourself, then I highly recommend you pick this one up! I will forever love the Shopaholic series by this author the best, but this one might just be right up there with it. All the stars!

Thank you so much NetGalley and Random House for the gifted e-copy.

I normally live Sophie Kinsella but I find myself not wanting to pick this one back up and I’ve started it a couple times

Thanks Net Galley for the preview!

I want to say I loved the Shopaholic books. Unfortunately, I do not feel the same about this book. The beginning of the story was a whirlwind romance but it seemed like every other sentence was an internal struggle about sharing details with the other person. I was annoyed with the internal monologues and Ava was super whiny. I barely made it through this book and was dreading re-opening it. Also Ava "dreaming" of Dutch was really annoying because he doesn't exist!!!

This was an okay book. I didn’t like it as much as others of hers that I have read, thanks for the review copy.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the review copy.

I love Kinsella's books. This was an enjoyable, fluffy read. It's not as funny as some of her others and it dragged on a little longer, but overall an enjoyable beach read.

Is this my dream scenario, written into existence? Who can say? Sophie Kinsella, that's who.

Ava, our main character, is suffering a breakup and dating app burnout. She's convinced dating apps are a disastrous waste of time - and she wants to find love in the real world, organically! So rather than jumping back on the bandwagon, she takes some time to herself, on a writer's retreat in Italy where she plans on finishing the novel she's been dreaming up for ages. Crafting a character for herself at the retreat (part of the deal, nobody can use their real names or share anything personal) - Ava becomes Aria, and falls head over heels for "Dutch", a fellow retreat-er. But when it comes time to return to real life, can Aria and Dutch find common ground to stand on? Or is real life just too much to juggle when it comes to the fantasies of love?

Another perfect Kinsella adventure to add to your shelves!

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for advance access to this title!

This was my very first Sophie book! I definitely can see why so many people rave about her as an author. The writing was super witty and playful. So many times I caught myself genuinely laughing out loud 😂

NOW, don’t hate me please... but I really didn’t LOVE it... I wanted to love this book so bad!

Ava really bothered me as a character lol. I found her to be super annoying and high strung... like to the point where I was cringing a bit 😬

I also found the ending to be super anticlimactic and a bit abrupt? There was all this build up about Ava and Matt and then it was just over...? I would have liked a bit more...

Overall, I did enjoy the book! Like I said, the writing was fun and witty, I was invested in Ava and Matt’s journey, as well as their friends.

This was fun, cute, and quirky. The story was definitely cringeworthy but i thought it was intentional genius on Kinsella's part. After all, jumping into a relationship with a complete stranger is absolutely awkward and has so many bumps along the way. Love Your Life reminded me of how my husband and I met, not that we went by aliases or kept our backgrounds secret in the beginning, but in the way that we thought we knew one another through letter writing when in reality, that was only the very tip of the iceberg that we would discover during our courtship/engagement. Loved it!

This book started with such a banter filled bang! I immediately loved the idea so much. The middle was a bit harder for me as it takes such a turn and went more real life. Don't get me wrong I rooted for these characters but there was just some bumps in the road that i was simply not a fan of. This is great for our closed door romance fans that like some real life mixed in with the romance.

This title made me laugh out loud. First of all, I'd love to do that writing retreat in Italy! It perfectly described how far into denial we are willing to live. It was a wonderful weekend read and I'm so glad I finally got to it!

I love Sophie Kinsella's books, they're always funny, heartwarming and relatable. I was definitely intrigued by Love your Life, with the premise of making a holiday romance work, but it didn't seem to be at the usual standard. For one thing, the main character, Ava, wasn't very likeable - judgy about other people's ways of life, but refusing to hear any criticisms of her own; abit too ditsy and flaky. Matt, the love interest, seemed to be a stereotype - the strong silent type with family issues. The supporting characters were fine, but abit one-note (one of the friend's sole personality characteristic is to ask for favours). What I did like was the main characters' attempts to make their relationship work, rather than just breaking up straight away, and their interactions with their friends. Not a favourite from this author (that is the Undomestic Goddess!), but I'll still be picking up her next book.
Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

Super cute, fun, read. Little light at times, and a little heavier than I expected at others. Sophie is great and I'll literally read anything she writes!

I think I quit this book faster than the main character’s date did after she started talking about butternut squash soup having a soul on their first date.

I have been a huge fan of this author and enjoyed her previous books. I was so excited to get a copy of her latest release. Unfortunately it just didn’t work for me at all.

After multiple attempts at reading and even tried the audio version I realize I was not going to connect with this book. I do look forward to reading more from this author in the future, hoping this lack of connection was just a fluke.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this title.

I used to be a huge fan of Sophie Kinsella’s. But lately I have not been enjoying her books. I got about 25% into this book and I just wasn’t feeling it. I felt the character was so annoying, there was no way I was going to finish this book. I know others have enjoyed it, so I would still check it out, if you’re a fan of her books!

Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella is an entertaining book. The story has many funny characters, romance, and many laughs. Sophie Kinsella's books always make me happy.

I absolutely adored Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella. Do you have non-negotiables when it comes to dating?such as they have to live within a 10 min walk from a bus stop, or they must be a dog lover, or maybe they have to be taller than you? What if those non-negotiables are what's standing between you and your soul mate? You're in for a wild ride with this book as Ava decides there should be no such thing as non-negotiables when it comes to finding true love.
An absolute must read! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
