LOVE Sophie Kinsella. There is not a Sophie Kinsella book that I do not love! I bought this book for my collection as I love Sophie so much as I wanted it for my classroom library. Kinsella has a quirky relationships with characters that every woman can identify with their realness! The Italian realness brought me back to my many trips to Italy. The book was a wonderful escape during the pandemic. Well written, great plot and wonderful characters.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to read and review.

I really wanted to like this book more than I did. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I appreciated how Ava was confident in herself and not a whiny character. Out of the whole book, the best parts for me were the secondary characters - I loved Topher and Nihal; and of course, Harold. If you're looking for an easy read, with a fairly predictable ending, this is it.

I have read every Sophie Kinsella book out there, so it's safe to say that I'm a fan. However, Love Your Life was just OK for me. The reality of finding unexpected love and then trying to get it to fit into your real life (and not the fantasy world the two of you set up for yourselves) is all too real. While I enjoyed the characters, I just wasn't crazy about the rushed love story. And the unrealistic theme of not asking questions to each other when you are hoping to build a relationship. It just sets yourself up for disaster. But then again, would there even be a story if that didn't happen?

Ugh. To be perfectly honest, "okay" is the word I think of when I think of this book. I am normally such a huge Sophie Kinsella fan, but this piece fell short for me. I felt it lacked the character development it needed for the story to really take off. I wanted more: more details, more plot development, just MORE. This felt rushed to me. I will, of course, give Sophie Kinsella another try later on as I have loved some of her previous work. Love Your Life, however, just wasn't my top pick. Thank you, Netgalley, for this ARC.

was able to read this book thanks to NetGalley. I am a huge fan of Sophie Kinsella. It was so sweet, fun, and I loved it! I was very invested in the characters and their stories. This is a must read for those who enjoy rom coms and I will be recommending it to my friends. I hope to see future books from this author in the future. Thanks again to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book!

Thanks for giving me early access to this book. I read this book awhile ago and forgot to do a review. I enjoyed it I do remember that. And it's an easy fun read. I can't say to much however because it has been awhile. But those that love a romantic rom com type novels will enjoy this book!

I really enjoyed this book! The Shopaholic series was my gateway back into reading as a young adult so I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Sophie Kinsella books. I've been a bit disappointed in some recently, but I really enjoyed this one. It was a fun read that kept me coming back.

I am usually a big fan of Sophie Kinsella so I'm not sure if it's me or this book, but I could not get into Love Your Life. I found myself wanting to skim and easily distracted. It felt predictable and long.

2.5 stars. I’m really sad to say, this book didn’t work for me. I didn’t buy the instant love connection, it wasn’t developed enough and just not believable. Then there was a lot of petty drama. Like a lot. And I didn’t care for any of it. Finally at 80% in, it started getting good and felt real but unfortunately it didn’t last. I loved the characters and the writing was good but the story had a lot of holes in it and just didn’t work for me personally. Please check out other reviews, I’ve seen some people that loved this book!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing a free advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This read like other Kinsella works. It was an interesting concept, but also kind of pushed what it's like after "Love at first sight".

I just couldn’t get myself to finish it. I tried, and tried so hard, but I think I may have just given up on her too early. Both main characters left me wanting. I know that they were supposed to be flaws, Ava just bugged me, her expectations of Matt just felt so unrealistic and it took me out of my reading. I couldn’t find myself wanting a happy ending for Ava when she was holding onto a vacation fantasy and refused to let it go. She refused to recognize that they both just liked things in different ways and that maybe that’s okay. I’m hoping that there was some redemption, I just couldn’t get myself there.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for an advance copy of Love Your Life! Sophie is probably my favorite author but this book just fell short for me. I didn't really care for how the main characters met, started a relationship, etc. and time seemed to jump ahead too fast. It has some funny moments, but overall it was just ok.

Very cute! I really enjoy everything from Sophie Kinsella. I like her earlier books better but this is an easy, romantic, fun read. Would be great for the beach!

Thank you to Random House Publishing for my copy of Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella.

I have read several books by Sophie and enjoyed them, and was very interested in this one based on the synopsis. Unfortunately, it was not for me. I was not a fan of either of the MCs, and found myself cringing at them most of the time. I also found the insta-love to be very unrealistic. After several attempts, I only made it to 30% of the book before deciding not to finish it.

I will not be sharing a review for the book anywhere else besides NetGalley.

This was a cute and uplifting book. Parts of the book seemed to drag a little. Sometimes it seemed like I needed to suspend my personal thinking and just flow with the quickness of the relationship. But Sophie Kinsella fans should enjoy this book!

Honesty is the best policy in my book (oh wow, accidental book pun) so here we go:
I was excited to receive this book because it’s by the author who penned Confessions of a Shoppaholic. Loved the movie (Isla Fisher 👏🏼) My hopes were high! I was looking for a light read because my last two books were a bit heavy. Well, this book is not light.

I’d say majority of the book I just wanted the couple to break up honestly and that’s never happened to me before! I was irritated by all the characters and although I could predict the ending I was actually relieved when we found out how it ends. 😅 (trying not to spoil) Note: a book being predictable is not a negative for me, I’m just noting.

I think my favorite character was the mischievous dog, Harold! Haha! He’s a cute beagle who isn’t easy to ignore and I’m glad he was the glue in the relationship. A close second is Nell! She has some hilarious lines and also believes in honesty.

I love the ending of the book and it makes sense what happens. I’m assuming the author wanted the reader to feel the frustration from both parties and to see their long (agonizing) journey of growth. I think if we’re talking in terms of audible speeds, I sped read the end at a 2.8. I needed to know how everyone ends up!

Speaking of everyone, there’s a huge cast of characters in this standalone (?). I love the friendship theme and I could appreciate the opposites attract trope after I got to the end. The imagery of Italy sounds beautiful and even their neighborhoods, besides Matt’s (yikes). All in all, I wouldn’t say it’s my all time favorite book, but I appreciated the hold it had on me. Plus, it gave me a book-over as I’m still thinking about it and haven’t continued any other book yet. Take that as you may.

Thank you @netgalley @randomhouse for this opportunity.

I thought this was darling, but not nearly as good as most of her books I’ve read and loved by Sophie Kinsella. Cute, quirky, fun read.

the premise and plot of this book sounds pretty good and cool. but i feel like the writing retreat is more of a cult and is just not good. and overall it was just pretty boring. and the main character was just pretty annoying and it honestly kind of pissed me off ngl
