Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for the ARC... I loved this book. As soon as I opened this book and started reading it had me in its clutches. Sophie Kinsella does it again. I did not want to stop reading and I didn't. This was such a fun quirky story to read. The characters were great. Every Single One of them! While reading I felt like I was there and a part of their friendship circle. What a great group of friends (including Harold) and all that they shared.

I’ve read all of Sophie Kinsella’s books as they’ve been released over the years, so I was very excited to receive my first ARC from Net Galley for her newest novel, “Love Your Life”. Ava meets Matt in Italy while attending a data-free writers’ retreat - a “bubble” meet-cute reminiscent of reality TV shows like The Bachelor. The result is a whirlwind vacation romance in which Ava and Matt fall head over heels for each other without knowing much about the other’s real life. As the retreat comes to an end, they decide to pursue their connection in the “real world” (back in London). Unfortunately, their reality personas don’t integrate quite as well as Ava had hoped...

This premise makes for a fun, entertaining read, filled with the usual series of ridiculous, hilarious events Sophie Kinsella fans can always expect of her novels’ heroines. I would recommend!

Thank you Sophie Kinsella, NetGalley and Dial Press / Random House for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

This is another typical Sophie Kinsella book. It's funny, over-the-top, filled with impossible situations. The best thing is obviously the happily ever after. It's a sweet, charming and sigh-worthy ending. Enjoyed it tremendously.

This was brilliant and over the top and dramatic and frivolous and absolutely delightful.

And there's a dog. Five stars for Harold!

I am a fervorous hater of instalove. ButI am a fan of people who break the rules when they know what the rules were in the first place. In this, Sophie Kinsella has taken some instalove, added a lot of self-awareness and humour, and turned it into something really brilliant. In addition to the trademark ridiculous scenarios and crazed characters, this featured people who grow and get better and realise they are flawed. It featured distinctive characters with their own goals and ambitions. It featured strong friendships and aspirations. It featured a love story I rooted so far for (view spoiler).

I actually managed to read this slowly because I wanted to savour it and enjoy every moment. And I laughed out loud. I forgot how Sophie Kinsella makes me laugh out loud. She's the bestest.

Ava and Matt meet at an anonymous writers retreat in Italy and immediately connect. When they return home to London, they decide to continue their relationship while learning real details about each other's lives. But real life isn't as charming as their romantic affair in Italy, and their opposite personalities present more challenges than optimistic Ava is willing to admit.

Until like the last 15% I really did not like this book. Matt and Ava are so ill-suited for each other, it was totally unbelievable that they would try so hard to stay together. Well, it was believable that someone as crazy as Ava would try, but not someone like Matt.

Ava is insufferable. I get that she is a "free spirit," but since when is that code for totally flaky, scatterbrained, out of touch with reality, and wildly immature? I was so glad when she finally went back to the writing retreat to finish her book and did not go crawling back to Matt. That did redeem her somewhat in my eyes.

And HAROLD. UGH. I am not a huge dog person to begin with but Harold is INSANE. I don't care who you are, it is not ok that your dog REGULARLY destroys other people's property. They should not have to accommodate your uncontrollable animal. And I can't believe how disrespectful Ava was to her friends and Matt about Harold. Ava just assumed her feelings about Harold should trump everyone else's. Totally not cool.

The reason why this book gets as many stars as it does is because of the end. Sophie Kinsella is such a charming writer, and the endings of her books ALWAYS ALWAYS make me smile. They are just so heart-felt and lovely. When Matt and Ava reconnect at dinner and read their Ava Land and Matt Land books, I was literally crying. It was such a beautiful gesture from their friends and really did portray Matt and Ava in the sweetest and best light. This is why I keep coming back to Kinsella's books.

Thank you to NetGalley, Sophie Kinsella, and Dial Press for this eARC.

During the few first chapters of this book, I honestly could not stand Ava. She seemed so flighty and her friends could hardly keep her focused on anything. Once she started dating Dutch/Matt, I started cringing at how frustrated I was with all of the dynamics. But I was far enough into the book, that I decided to keep going. Once I was about 3/4 of the way through, I started to enjoy the characters and the ridiculous situations and dialogues. I appreciated that prior to ending the book, that there was a significant lapse in time. Most books seem to take a week and then all of the problems are magically fixed. I ended up loving how this ended and how all of the characters seemed to transform and grow.

Overall, it ended up being a really fun read once I got over the few issues I did have with the book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dial Press/Randomhouse for access to the e-galley.

A huge fan of Sophie Kinsella, this newest addition to her lineup did not disappoint! A quick, fun read as I followed Ava and Matt. Lots of laughs along the way and I enjoyed the settings of Italy and London too.

This book was a slog and highly predictable in places. I could hardly wait for the overly ditzy protagonist's comeuppance. Honestly, I skipped to the end.

I'm always up for a Sophie Kinsella book. This one did not disappoint. I love her flighty female leads and how they deal with what life throws them. Thank you to the Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I don't know if the feeling "unsatisfying" truly encompasses what I felt while reading, but I don't know if I would read something that was like this "lovers-to-enemies" again. Having that wonderful feeling of compatibility RIPPED away from you as you go along the lovers' journey is too heartbreaking. Frustration is another emotion truly felt. If you are ok with that, then this book is definitely for you!

I really wanted to like this one, guys. But as I read along it started to feel like a reverse trope - instead of enemies to lovers we were getting lovers to enemies, if the enemies were hellbent it pursuing a doomed relationship.

This is a chick lit book from one of the best in this genre. I will admit I have not read many of her books after the shopaholic series. This books reminds me why I like her as an author. Ava (aka Aria) and Matt (aka Dutch) are Londoners who are both in a writers retreat and begin a romance. At the retreat you are not to use your real name and keep everything a little superficial but they both fall for each other and all is wonderful in Italy but the time comes when they must return to reality. They find that they are not so in sync as they were in Italy. They each have friends and different lifestyles. Harold the dog causes conflict as do family members. You are definitely are rooting for Matt and Ava and their romance, however, at times it is really frustrating at some of the things they do. This was an enjoyable read and reminds me why I liked chick lit before. You will be shaking your head and rooting for these two as well.

Love Your Life is a rom com story about a quirky girl named Ava how she tries to navigate a relationship with Matt while knowing nothing about each other’s past only to find out they are complete opposites of each other. I couldn’t love this story enough because the characters reminded me so much of me and my hubby personality wise, and yes like Ava I can be very annoying at times. 😂 We even have our very own Harold, although her name is Nessa and she truly can be a bastard dog, but we love her. 😂 I kind of wish we could read Harold’s story or even have a sequel to read more about the friends, I really love all the friends. This is the perfect light hearted story to read in 2020, when we all know we can use one.

Thank you to NetGalley for an arc of Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella!

This book follows two strangers who meet on an anonymous writers retreat. While away in Italy, the two fall for one another and enter a romantic whirlwind relationship. As the retreat comes to an end, Ava and Matt (known as Aria and Dutch at the writers retreat) decide to pursue their love-connection in the real world. Ava thinks Dutch is her perfect man. But when they go back to London, she realizes that Dutch isn’t quite as perfect as his real life persona, Matt. And Matt starts to think the same about Ava. The two end up giving their relationship a chance, but their differences prove to make things difficult.

This book was easy to read, and definitely enjoyable, although not my favourite. I loved the friend dynamics in this story, especially when Matt & Ava’s worlds collided. They way both groups interacted was great, and I only wish we could have seen more of them together than the little bit at the end. I wasn’t a big fan of the insta-love aspect, and I never felt fully invested in Ava & Matt’s relationship. At some points Ava felt a bit insufferable, which I think had an effect on how much I cared for and enjoyed her character. With that being said, the last few chapters really pulled the whole book together for me, and seeing how Ava evolved as a character really ended up working for me.

I am always extremely excited to see a new book from Sophie Kinsella. I have always loved her writing style, and this book is no different. In Love Your Life we once again find a frustrating yet endearing heroine and a gang of quirky supportive characters (including an adorable precocious dog). The plot was easy to follow and the story made for a fun read. I think she did a great job writing the characters so you felt you knew them, and for myself, you liked them. The reason I just couldn’t give that fifth star is because it seemed the central relationship of the story was based solely on lust. Ava and Matt fight so hard to make their relationship work, but I could never understand why. It seemed like it was almost out of desperation for Ava, but I still don’t know why Matt held on. As always, the author did tie it all together in the end and brought everything full circle which made for a satisfying conclusion. I definitely recommend this to all Sophie Kinsella fans and those who just like fun, enjoyable reads.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Random House for my advanced ebook copy!

I love all of Sophie Kinsellas books but this one was not great. The story fell flat. Couldn’t care about the characters at all. Just couldn’t get into this at all.

The main couple was just painful to read for 85% of the book. Their relationship had me cringing and wanting to shake them both. With that being said, by the end, there was definitely some great character growth. I just wish it wouldn't have all been saved for the last 15% of the book. It made for a very abrupt ending. The friend group and dynamic at the end is a story I would have much preferred to spend time reading about.

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for the ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed this title.

After their initial love-at-first-sight/holiday romance comes to an end, we see "Aria" and "Dutch" go back to their real life and try to overcome obstacles/differences to be together. At first I was highly skeptical how Kinsella could bring these two lovebirds together, but somehow Kinsella works her magic and she pulls it all together for a perfect ending. There's plenty of funny scenarios that are scattered throughout that are so realistic and make me feel like I'm in that awkward/comical scene with them.

Like many of her other books, this one had me hooked right away. It's heartwarming and hilarious with a solid storyline! I loved the two main characters especially Aria/Ava. I found her very relatable and easy to love. I'd highly recommend to all my fellow Sophie Kinsella fans and also for anyone looking for great escapism this year!

Thanks to NetGalley and Random House for my copy. You guys rock! Sophie Kinsella is one of my favorite authors so I'll still end up buying the book when the book is released to add to my collection

I think I've read everything by Sophie Kinsella, so this was an easy pick for me. While it was charming and fun (because come on all of her books are), this wasn't my favorite one. I had trouble connecting with Ava, but her dog stole the story!
