Very adult romance novel. Would recommend to those familiar with non-closed door or fade to black romance novels

I love Helen's other books and series and this one did not disappoint. If you need a little spice in your life I recommend picking this up. I loved the MC Skye so much. There is a lot of seggs and other mature themes so read at your own risk

This book is very smutty and addictive. The author does a great job of presenting the relationship between the two main characters and their push and pull relationship.

I cannot believe how quickly I finished this book; I wasn’t able to put it down for very long and just flew this one! Braden and Skye are a very unique couple and their contrasting dynamics make them riveting to read about.

Skye is the assistant to a top Instagram influencer. She does all her photos, post copy and keeps Addison Ames looking like the super star everyone thinks she is. Skye comes from a rural farm town and wants to be a photographer, so this job is supposed to be her chance to get her foot in the door. She thrives on having utter control over her own life and making decisions that limit the risk she takes. But when she meets the billionaire Braden Black who wants to own all of her self control, she really has to take stock of what’s more important to her.

Women in today’s society can probably relate a lot with Skye in the manner that she protects herself by weaponizing her self control. It’s how she keeps people at a distance and ultimately keeps herself from getting hurt. But this also means that she’s been missing out on some really exciting things in her. Which, bring Braden into the picture, and she starts to experience and realize that giving her control over to a man who ultimately protects her control and helps them both, may be worth the risk.

The trick with all of the plot is that it’s entirely told from Sky’e perspective and muddled with her own perceptions, concerns and insecurities. Which was perfectly fine but does lead the reader down a very specific path of only being able to see things from her perspective. I love Braden’s dark and mysterious ways as his personality is very difficult to read from Skye’s point of view, but all of his actions speak louder than his words do. He’s a man of very few words and keeps what he has to say to the point.

All of the things they experience together show a development in the BDSM world without the normal contractual layouts that one would normally have in this setting. I think that’s the only part that doesn’t sit well with me about Braden. Rather than having open dialogue with Skye about his interests and evaluating her own interest, then laying out their arrangements, he kind of walks her down that path and lets her decide for herself. This works very well for the story and the characters but leaves out some important elements of this lifestyle regarding safety of participants with safe words, contracts, etc.

Looking forward to reading the next installment in this series and learning more about Skye and Braden and where their relationship goes from here!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've read several of Helen Hardt books and always love them. The moment I saw the cover for this one I knew I needed to read it. This was a very well written, sexy, fast pace novel. The characters have fantastic chemistry that make this story a page turner. These is the suggestion of a secret from the past that keep you wanting to read in hopes to finding it out. This is a great start to a new series and I look forward to reading any addition to the series in the future.

Beautiful erotic story with a great plot and great sex scenes! Skye and Braden are fabulous foil characters that compliment each other even as the plot grows a little wilder. It's a beautiful mixture with some darker elements. A great first story, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

This series is sitting on my Kindle since before it's release, considering that it was given to me as an ARC, in exchange of my honest review .
I don't know why, but I never started it before, so here I am now, almost 2 years later with my honest, but not so flattering, opinion.

This first book doesn't sell the trilogy very well, and if I had to pay to continue reading the next book, I honestly, wouldn't continue.
Since I do have the next two books, I'll finish them in the hopes that it'll be more mature than what was presented in this first book.

The beginning was a mixture of Gossip Girl after highschool, with a lot of The Old Paris Hilton in the present days, being a social influencer without having any talent besides her money and looks.

When Braden comes into the picture, it was like read Anastasia and Christian Grey first encounter from another perspective, when she just drop to the ground to get the stuff from her fallen purse.

After that the book became a lot of social media posts about lipstick, him trying successfully to get her in bed, petty rivalry and the secret between Braden and Sky's ex boss (the Paris Hilton's wannabe)... And let me tell you this... If what was revealed at the end is really the secret, I'm even more disappointed.

I couldn't feel the chemistry between them, and everything felt really forced.
The way he acted or the way she did ...
It was like watch highschool kids playing around as social media influencer and bondage enthusiastic.

The sex scenes were mildly good, I'll give it that!
If I ignore the words labia or vulva thrown at the mix, or that ridiculous condom talk, it was the best part of the book, which is sad cause I love my smuty books with a good plot!

When the I love yous came, I was like:
Seriously? Why? For what? Just cause she have great tits? (He mentions it every other chapter!)
Yeah... It wasn't my cup of tea!

Will I be reading the next book?
Probably, cause I have the ARC and i seriously want to see what else there is to say about this couple.

Would I recommend it?
Based on this one, I wouldn't.

Honestly I love any book that gives me “50 Shades” vibes and this one was it.

Follow me darkly is a steamy, slightly dark romance that’ll have you blushing just from reading the pages.

Helen Hardt is such a phenomenal writer. Her words flow so smoothly and she knows just the right way to turn anything sexy. And hello ma’am. That Alpha hole you wrote about is sending me all in a tizzy.

I received a book box for Follow Me Darkly and I just knew how enjoyable this book would be judging by the contents in the box. I mean...silk ties and a black masquerade mask? Count me friggin in.

Wow. This was just filled with smut and I absolutely loved it. We dived into the plot and romance right from the start. I usually like some build up before the romantic relationship actually gets hot and heavy, but this story did a nice way of getting there very quickly. Like literally within the first 50 pages. I was entertained the entire time. I will say that I am disappointed by why Skye's boss doesn't like Braden. I expected something more from that reveal. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

This book lacked quite a bit of depth and the characterizations were never fully developed. The motivation behind Skye's wanting to be with Braden really awkward. I mean sure, chase all the orgasms you want but you gotta give me more than just that the sex was great. I never fully understood the reasoning behind Braden's obsession with Skye and them falling in love with each other. I suppose what I'm trying to say it wasn't fully developed for my liking.

This book was definitely steamy and was everything I hoped it would be. I can't wait to read more of Helen Hardt.

Follow Me Darkly by Helen Hardt 4 stars

Occasionally I will get excited when I read a book blurb by a new to me author and commit to reading it without any research. And then I get mad at myself when I realize it's a multipart story and I'm left with a cliffy and months to go before I can read the next part. (I have promised myself over and over to wait for the entire collection is out, yet I screw up my promise, time and time again). So, all of that being said - beware Follow Me Darkly is part of a series and ends on a cliffhanger.

Follow Me Darkly was an enjoyable read. I think billionaire stories are fun...a glimpse into a world that I will never visit and that is what books are for, right? The book definitely had a 50 shades vibe as the romance between Skye and Braden played more of a secondary role, focusing the story more on their sexual encounters. There is a hint of BDSM but it's on the light side thought here are hints that it may get more intense in part two.

I can't wait to read more about Braden and Skye - because you know..drama leading into a cliffy ending is torture for me. I can't go much more into detail, because I feel like too much info can spoil plot lines so let me just say January can't come fast enough .

Enjoyed this book wanted to read more every moment I had. First in a series. Excited to read more books by this author.

I hate a cliff hanger and I especially hate it when I am so engrossed in a book and I don't get a satisfactory ending. I really wanted to know what the story was between Braden and Addison and while we do get some info at the end. It's really only a teaser, not the full story.

The heat was unreal between Skye and Braden and I loved the author's interpretation of BDSM. So often these days it's not an accurate reflection and has dark overtones and while there are some issues raised I feel like they are understandable and I hope the second book further explores these issues.
I do feel the I Love you's happened a bit quickly but this is my only issue with an otherwise stellar read.

I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a steamy billionaire romance. It has Fifty Shades of Grey vibes. There is a cliffhanger, and it took a bit of a darker turn at the end. I'm excited to continue the story. I was definitely hooked.

Follow My Darkly is book one in the new series Follow Me. The three books in the series will be interconnected and follow Skye and Braden's story. Continuing the story with the main characters into book two and three mean they need to be read in order.

Skye is a photographer and the pair meet Addie a social media influencer that Skye works for. The slightly older sexy guy Braden knows how to push her limits. The pair has strong chemistry with an intense push and pull going on.

If you like a dark strong alfa and an equally strong female then this one is or you.

Yowza, this is one hot read!
I mean you kind of know what your getting into right at the cover, but it’s so much more. I really liked the storyline and the way the author ended each chapter with something that hooked you and you simply couldn’t put the book down. I ended many chapters with a silly grin on my face. When I got to the last page not knowing it was the last page I was like nooooooooooo, then I read the message that part 2 comes out January 26th and I’ve never been so happy to see the end of the month creeping up!
Fans of Fifty Shades of Grey this book is for you!
Skye Manning works as a photographer for a famous Instagrammer. Spending her days finding the perfect lighting to showcase a new lip color or the right table at the coffee shop to make her boss look amazing as she drinks her latte. It’s a job and it pays well, but her dream is to take photos that touch people and really make a difference. Spending her days deleting negative comments and booking new clients get pretty mundane, until Braden Black shows up. He’s serious and seriously perfect.
Braden can have any girl he wants, but he wants Skye. This is one time his millions won’t be able to buy him the girl, because she doesn’t care about his money. There’s something about her that has him hooked. She’s different than anyone he’s ever met. Sure she’s sexy and has lips he can’t stop thinking about, but she’s smart and innocent and she drives him mad! The problem is she wants a relationship and a future and he does not. How can he keep Skye to himself without giving her the one thing she wants....
Pick up your copy quick so you can read the second book, Follow Me Under when it releases Jan.26th

I really wanted to love this book, because I heard so many good things about it. But, it was just too close to Fifty Shades of Grey (including almost identical situations), and that really drove down my liking of the individual story. Had I not read Fifty Shades, I would give this 4 stars.

Warning this is part of a series and it ends on a cliffhanger. You'll absolutely want to start reading the second book right away. Also, some light bondage BDSM elements, power play Dom/sub.

I loved this story Skye and Braden are such an interesting pair. Skye is a control freak so is Braden. Who will end up winning control in the bedroom? Why is Braden the magic key that fixes Skye's "problem"? What happened between Braden and Addison? There are a lot of questions. Some get answered in this book and some don't. Trust and darkness are huge themes in the book. What fuels Braden's darkness? How dark is he? Does Skye trust him? Will she follow him? Skye is a character I really like. She loves what Braden does sexually to her but she pushes back on Braden when he starts to take control. She doesn't follow him blindly. Apart from not seeing herself as beautiful she has the confidence to really start teaching for her dreams. Tessa and Braden help but in the end it's her doing it. I think, mostly, her fears and decisions make sense. She's in a new relationship with someone that has more money, experience, and power than her. Braden is very much an enigma throughout the book. You get little glimpses into him but not the full story. What you do learn keeps you wanting more. The sex gets more intense throughout the book and you find yourself in the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next.

I absolutely loved the story and can't wait to find out what happens next. Helen Hardt is such a good writer. She always brings her A game to everything she writes. This is another 5 star read from her.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
