Thank you Netgalley and 47North for the chance to read an advance copy of The Conjurer by Luanne G. Smith. I was thrilled to go from reading The Glamourist to reading The Conjurer. I feel you really need to read the first two books to fully appreciate the full background story of The Vine Witch series. The Conjurer is Sidra storyline and we find out why she was in prison with Yvette and Elena. Wrongfully accused of killing her husband, determined to prove her innocence and find out what really happened, she ends up back in the French village where she makes her home, accompanied by Yvette. When Jamra, who wants revenge for his brother’s death, ends up forcing Elena to go with him to find Sidra and claim a powerful weapon the trio find themselves together again. Will the sisters of magic be able to defeat evil and truly claim their destiny? I truly enjoyed this entire trilogy. The three women worked well together, and I found it was wonderful that none of them overshadowed the others. I found the ending was a little underwhelming, and so I wonder whether there will be more books.

Weird is the only descriptor I can come up with for this book. There was just something off about the whole thing for me. I cannot put my finger on it but something was severely lacking for me in this book.

I enjoyed reading this magical book! A story with a witch, a jinni, and a fae. The story is well-written and riveting! The world, the characters, and the story itself were amazing!

It's my first time to read a novel from this author and I would really check out her other books.

First of all the cover of this book, is so pretty. I so wish I had physical book of this cover.

One regret is that I didn't know that it was part of series, in early stages. The book is beautifully written with a great characterization, excellent world-building, and a magical system that makes sense so much. Overall i liked all the books in the series.

I always try really hard to make sure I start a series at the beginning but I failed in this one. Either I wasn't paying attention or I just didn't care because I wanted to read this. Either way... here we are.

I felt lost in the beginning, which led me to goodreads to see the info on this book, and realized this is book 3. Aside from that fact this book was interesting enough to me that I'll be going back to read from the beginning.

The world is already well built so it was a teensy bit hard to imagine certain parts but overall the writing compensates for that. There is some hints to previous happening so it's not something I had to stop reading entirely but did have me pause a little.

Overall, though, I enjoyed it and would recommend!

Smith does it again!! The Conjurer, 3rd instalment in The Vine Witch series is more consuming that the first two books. Also this is one of the most underrated series. You’ll enjoy this series if you love anything that deals with magic.

The Conjurer focuses more on Sidra, a jinni not too likeable, but has a mystery self; who has to defend herself with the sisterhood magic of Elene, Yvette against Jamra, another jinni seeking revenge. The story is cryptic, magical & powerful, but you’d enjoy it only if you have a grip on the backstories of the characters from the previous books. Honestly I loved 3rd book more and I conclude saying Elena is my favourite!!

I’m not sure of there’s another book coming in this series, but I’d certainly be watching out for more books from Smith.

I have seen the cover of the first book in this series everywhere but did not have the chance to read it! I can't wait to go back to 1 & 2 and read those. I'm hoping it will help me to better understand some terms and characters. But, I don't feel like I was lost by not reading the first two.

This book was fantastic! I loved the characters and the friendship they had. Basically, they are trying to fight a jinn who is trying to get revenge on everything for years of mistreatment. Sidra defends herself using the village’s greatest asset, which is its perfume. This was very well written and loved the setting. I could imagine this mystical, smoky place. I can't wait to go back and read the rest!

The Conjurer is the third book in the Vine Witch series. If you haven't read the other two, I would highly suggest reading in order, otherwise you're going to miss out on a lot of backstory. The first book was so delightful actually that it made me eager to launch into the rest of them, so truly, do read in order!

Elena and Yvette have kind of figured out their stories, but Sidra is a loose end. And as long as the trio remain friends, no one can rest easily until they are all safe. Which is why when Sidra realizes that someone is still after her and won't rest until they've found her, she has to prepare for the worst. Elena too finds herself thrust into the fire due to their connection, but even with Yvette added in as well, it may not be enough to stop the wrath after Sidra.

Sidra is the most mysterious out of the three. Which is to be expected, she's a Jinni after all. Yvette is open, Elena caring but no nonsense, while Sidra just wants to be left alone. She may not be the most likable of the three, but you're still drawn in enough to want to know what happens to her. The bad guy in this one I felt was a little heavy handed; he certainly moved the plot along but often times at an unnatural pace. And another character close to Sidra, let's just say I don't understand the charm.

For the plot, it was pretty good. Much more exciting than the previous two books with a good deal more magic involved as well. It seems each time more and more of their powers are shown and they stop trying to blend in with normal humans. Still, magic is a natural part of this world so even with the openness it still wasn't a catastrophic happening in the eyes of everyone around them. I do like the simple charms and ways magic is weaved into the book. Elena's use of magic remains my favorite and is what keeps me coming back to the series.

The first book is still my favorite, but this one was a good one. I don't know if there will be more, but if there are, they'll definitely be on my to-read list!

Sidra is a jinni on the run. Her brother-in-law accuses her of her husband’s murder, which she believes she is guilty of, and seeks revenge. Originally fleeing to the lands of the Fée, she is kicked out to face her accuser and her destiny. However, she is not alone as both Elena and Yvette are thrust into the confrontation with her.

I did not know this book was the third in a series, but I was able to understand most of the storyline despite of this. The style of writing, while giving a detailed visual of what was taking place, took a little getting used to, but I can see some readers enjoying this more than others. There are also terms and items that, while described beautiful, were not defined, which made things a little annoying. Overall, though, I did enjoy the book and the ending of it helped to fill the holes in the story I missed by not reading the first two installments of the series.

Intertwined fates await their completion in the Conjurer.
Another well written adventure following the lives of our unlikely trio. All brought to a satisfying happy ending. I live the way the characters use and combine their magic to crate something new to benefit them all. After the first two instalments kept me engaged whilst managing to relax and nit overtax me I was swept merrily in to this instalment hoping to find Sidra at its heart and was not disappointed. Overall the series is brilliant and will appeal to those who live magic and a feel good note to the writing!

This third installment in the Vine Witch series did not disappoint. I loved the first two, The Vine Witch and The Glamourist, and I have to be honest, this one might be my favorite of all three. No, wait..maybe it was The Vine Witch. Or maybe, The Glamourist. It is hard to say! I loved them all!

This book made me yearn for a place I have never been, with its descriptions of desert winds and the perfumed scents, such a sensory journey. And I absolutely loved getting to know the character of Sidra more; of the three characters, she is the most mysterious. We finally get to learn her backstory, what really happened to land her in jail, where she came from, and more about the jinni itself.

We see different sides to this hot tempered character- emotions such as vulnerability, fear, loyalty, and even fondness for Yvette. It was also nice to catch up with Yvette, and see how she was adjusting to her newfound ancestry and powers, and also with Elena who we started the series with. I love how their fates have been intertwined and how their shared experiences together has bound them to each other.

This book contains so much, witches and jinni and fairies and powerful, evocative descriptions; romance and danger, evil villains and brave allies. It was a fantastic read, and the very definition of the expression that reading takes you places.

What a beautiful and well-rounded end to the Vine Witch Trilogy! The Conjurer was such an adventurous, fun and fast-paced read. I loved the way Luanne G. Smith ended the entire plot and connected all the dots. The characters are well built, effective and so loveable. This is a trilogy I am going to recommend to anyone who loves magic, sorcery and witches although those aren’t the only aspects of mystical beings who are endorsed in these books. Luanne G. Smith is such a promising and imaginative writer. I am really looking forward to reading more of her books because I don’t think I can stay away from the world’s she builds for very long.

When I requested this one, I didn't realize that it was the third in the series. I enjoyed this book, however. Beautiful story telling and prose. The world building and back story was told well so I was able to wrap my mind around it.. Thank you, NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book!

As I've read the two other books in The Vine Witch-series, I couldn't resist The Conjurer. The Conjurer focuses on Sidra and it's a well written conclusion for this trilogy. I loved the author's writing style considering I felt I "walked along" with the characters as it happened, due to the well written descriptions. I loved the trio of Elena, Yvette and Sidra and how they develop through the book and the series in general. The world building in the book and series are well developed and written in an understandable way.

The Conjurer (and The Vine Witch trilogy) is well worth the read and I highly recommend it.

As mentioned before, I was one of the many who did not realize this was part of a series. Regardless, I was able to understand everything that happened in the book and thoroughly enjoyed it! I thought the supernatural world was spectacular and the author did a great job at making sure that the sense of adventure and urgency was still part of the story. I liked how this book (and presumably the series) focused on these three different supernatural women where they were connected in a sort of friendship but more of magic AND they were still their individual selves! These women were developed to be their own person who did not need a man or other people to define things for them, they had their own identities. I really enjoyed this book and I absolutely loved the ending. I definitely recommend this book, but cannot comment on the series as a whole since I have not read it all. I am curious if I would have given the book a higher rating if I had read the entire series, but it is still a strong read on its own!

The Conjurer was a very satisfying conclusion to this lovely little series. I enjoyed how each book developed one of the three magical women and showed their strength together. This made for a fun little escape. Thank you the publisher for the ARC!

At first I didn't know that this book is part of series. So, before reading this book, I read first two. You could read this one, as a stand alone, but if you read them all, you have the whole experience.
I really enjoyed this book, it was different from what I was expecting to read, but I was good surprise.
3.5 stars from me.

I enjoyed this story very much. It felt very clever how the different types of magic came together, as the three very different women came together and supported one another. It felt like a world where everywhere you look, you'd find a different kind of magic. Smith could expand on this theme indefinitely! There's certainly more to tell about the mysterious Order.

Fantastic ending to such a beloved series! I can't wait for the next series from this author! Perfect spellbinding series you wont be able to put down!

The third book in the "The Vine Witch" series is an absolute success. As we follow Sidra's story with Elena and Yvette at her side, Luanne Smith weaves together another beautiful tale. I love these adventures and they are so well written, I could hardly put the book down.
