The newest Stone Barrington mystery from Stuart Woods, Shakeup, offers a lively fantasy world of being rich, attractive, and surrounded by great friends and wonderful lovers. Add a touch of crime and investigation, and you have a perfect luxurious visit to a New York City version of Bond—James Bond. (see full review at link that follows)

What can I say? Sometimes I need fun and a visit with Stone and his merry band fills the bill. Yes, the events are unlikely, too much violence and the use of coincidences is absurd...but, such fun to tag along on the adventures and glamor.

So, as a devoted fan, this was a good read. Starting with the inauguration of a female president and a series of murders taking us from DC to LA, NYC and London, it’s a great way to get far from quarantine boredom. So, if you like Stone, you will enjoy this and look forward to your next visit.

Thank you Netgalley for chasing the blues away with this ARC.
