Shipped is a witty and romantic enemies to lovers romance. Henley is up for a promotion that she deserves but is shocked to learn that her nemesis, Graeme, is in the running as well. She feels like she is the hardest worker and should have automatically been the one to get the position but she won't stop now. Their boss sends them to both to the Galapagos Islands for a challenge. Whoever makes the best proposal to get more bookings there will win the promotion. It's so fun to see both interact with each other especially when Henley starts to realize that Graeme isn't as bad as he seemed. I really enjoyed the witty banter between the two. Overall, it's a cute romance that I enjoyed!

I did not enjoy this book. This book was so cringy bad. Both MCs are immature and the whole idea of bringing your sister on a work trip that will determine if you get a promotion is absurd. Also, why are all the POC characters cruise workers whose only job is to serve? Yikes.

So stinking cute!!!!! I absolutely LOVED it!! It totally lived up to the blurb .... The Unhoneymooners meets The Hating Game vibes all the way!! Be sure to add this to your 2021 TBR!! You won’t regret it!!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review!!

Shipped was a cute read! Whenever anything is compared to a Christina Lauren book, I know it will be right up my alley, and this was no different. I will say that I wasn’t a huge fan of the main characters so it made it a little less enjoyable for me, but overall, this was a fun quick read! Perfect for a summer read by the pool or at the beach! Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC!

Super cute rom com that allowed me to travel alongside the characters. I loved the witty banter and slow burn between Henley and Graeme. I found myself laughing out loud a few times. I’m looking forward to reading whatever Angie Hockman has next!

Shipped by Angie Hockman is a contemporary romance novel that uses the enemies to lovers romance trope. Set mainly in the Galápagos Islands this romance has that humorous side while also going deeper.

Henley Evans has always worked hard at her job at Seaquests Adventures, a small more personal cruise line. Henley is ecstatic when she finds that she’s up for a promotion but not so happy that her office enemy, Graeme Crawford-Collins, is also being considered. Now the two are set to head to the Galápagos Islands and the best idea to create more business wins.

It’s no secret that I love exotic locales and beachy or island settings are right at the top of my favorites so Shipped by Angie Hockman was right up my alley. The setting in this one could have won me over all on it’s own but the author also included some very likable characters that were easy to get behind. I loved the laughs just as much as the deeper moments and this one was definitely a great debut novel that would bring me back to the author again.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

This was a cute rom-com with an environment-conscious element. The two main characters are very likable and the novel made me want to take a trip to the Galapagos!

This one fell a bit flat to me. The Hating Game and The Unhoneymooners comps left a lot to live up to

This was a very cute book. I liked the whole ecological tourism angle, and the enemies to lovers storyline. (Possible spoiler: I also like when characters are enemies by accident, as is the case in this story). This story has some heat, but it is closed door. It was a fun book!

I absolutely loved the main character, the friendship, and the family relationships in this book. The setting is perfect: in a cruise. The excursions sounded fun and while I’m here in the cold Midwest, this book took me to a tropical paradise. I love the slow buildup of the enemies to lovers

Ever since the world shut down and travels have been put on hold, I seem to find books and movies with exotic settings all the more appealing. Thank goodness for books to transport us to places that COVID won’t allow! And Shipped by author Angie Hockman sends readers on an island getaway...

Shipped by Angie Hockman was the perfect summer read - especially for a summer when my travel plans aren’t exactly what I had in mind.

Marketing manager Henley is competing for the promotion of her dream at the cruise line she works for, however, she is competing for the position against her work nemesis, Graeme. The twist? Both Henley and Graeme are being sent on a Galapagos cruise and tasked with drafting a digital marketing proposal for the Galapagos cruises.

I really saw myself in Henley - working all of time, taking work home while also taking classes for her master’s degree in the evening and not getting anywhere in her career.

However, Henley frustrated me while she is on the cruise. She’s in the Galapagos, surrounded by the beauty of nature and in a place that people save for their entire life to experience. But she would rather sit in front of her laptop and work rather than experience it.

Once Graeme opens Henley’s eyes and gets her to loosen up a little bit, she’s a bit easier to accept as a person.

Here’s the thing to remember readers: at your job, you are replaceable, at home, you’re not. Work-life balance is extremely important - you’re given vacation days, paid time off, personal time, etc., as part of your job’s compensation package…USE IT. (Sorry, rant over.)

I really liked the slow build romance between Henley and Graeme. The cruise ship is a fun setting for this romcom.
