I found this to be an enjoyable read, keeping me on my toes throughout. The storyline was written well and flowed seamlessly. I look forward to reading more by this author!

This was a very cute book. I liked the whole ecological tourism angle, and the enemies to lovers storyline. (Possible spoiler: I also like when characters are enemies by accident, as is the case in this story). This story has some heat, but it is closed door. It was a fun book!

I absolutely loved the main character, the friendship, and the family relationships in this book. The setting is perfect: in a cruise. The excursions sounded fun and while I’m here in the cold Midwest, this book took me to a tropical paradise. I love the slow buildup of the enemies to lovers

Ever since the world shut down and travels have been put on hold, I seem to find books and movies with exotic settings all the more appealing. Thank goodness for books to transport us to places that COVID won’t allow! And Shipped by author Angie Hockman sends readers on an island getaway...

I absolutely loved this book! I love that they're enemies to lovers, coworkers, and that they're both going for the same position.

Shipped by Angie Hockman was the perfect summer read - especially for a summer when my travel plans aren’t exactly what I had in mind.
Marketing manager Henley is competing for the promotion of her dream at the cruise line she works for, however, she is competing for the position against her work nemesis, Graeme. The twist? Both Henley and Graeme are being sent on a Galapagos cruise and tasked with drafting a digital marketing proposal for the Galapagos cruises.
I really saw myself in Henley - working all of time, taking work home while also taking classes for her master’s degree in the evening and not getting anywhere in her career.
However, Henley frustrated me while she is on the cruise. She’s in the Galapagos, surrounded by the beauty of nature and in a place that people save for their entire life to experience. But she would rather sit in front of her laptop and work rather than experience it.
Once Graeme opens Henley’s eyes and gets her to loosen up a little bit, she’s a bit easier to accept as a person.
Here’s the thing to remember readers: at your job, you are replaceable, at home, you’re not. Work-life balance is extremely important - you’re given vacation days, paid time off, personal time, etc., as part of your job’s compensation package…USE IT. (Sorry, rant over.)
I really liked the slow build romance between Henley and Graeme. The cruise ship is a fun setting for this romcom.

Henley Evans barely has time to breathe let alone take a vacation. Which is ironic since she works for a cruise line. She is hoping that all of her hard work is about to pay off when she is announced as one of the final candidates for the promotion of her dreams. The job will be given to the candidate who delivers the best marketing proposal after taking the company's Galapagos Island cruise. How bad could this be? Soon Henley finds out when the other candidate is revealed to be her nemesis, Graham, a remote employee who has caused Henley more problems over the years even going so far as to take credit for work she had done. There is no way she will let Graham get the best of her this time. Once on board the two finally meet face to face but when the person she imagined Graham to be all this time turns out to be nothing like Graham in real life, Henley begins to question whether or not she has this job in the bag after all. As the trip winds on the priorities Henley held on to so steadfastly in the past gradually seem to become less and less important. After all, what's a life if you don't have time to live it? "Shipped" is a fun light-hearted read that I really enjoyed. I don't know if I completely agree with the standard of books this one gets compared to but it definitely has its appeal and has really empowering themes. No shrinking, swooning violets here! Would love to see what this would look like on the big screen! Thanks to NetGalley and Gallery Books for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Shipped is such an adorable novel that will give you that "Calgon, take me away" feeling as you bask beach side with this cute-as-pie read.
Henley and Graeme, office rivals, are pitted against each other by their boss to duke it out over a promotion at work - winner take all. Their proving ground? The Galapagos Islands (rough life, eh? - ha ha).
Henley, who is, shall we say, a little tightly wound is slowly coming to realize that Graeme isn't as awful as she'd thought. And that maybe, just maybe, she's working so hard for a living that she's not really living at all.
A sweet story, with a great moral to be told about life. I hope you'll enjoy this one too!

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book is well written and the characters are described well. I enjoyed the friendships and family relationships in this book. The romance is slow and sweet like a enemies to lovers romance. I absolutely adored Henley and Graeme's characters. The pacing of this book is great. I enjoyed how it is set in Seattle,.Michigan and Galapagos Island. It is in stores now for $16.00 (USD).

This one was a super cute read! I would classify it more as contemporary/women's fiction as opposed to romance, but it was delightful nonetheless. If you're looking for a book with a career-centered heroine and a tropical setting, this one's it!

Thank you to Gallery Books for my copy of Shipped in exchange for my honest review.
I had really high expectations for this enemies-to-lovers romance after I saw that it was compared to The Hating Game! I think that it did live up to them, and it was a solid four stars for me. I liked the setting of the cruise and all the excursions. I really want to go to the Galapagos now! There were many laugh out loud moments that fit in well with the sweet swoony ones, but I think I would have liked a little more tension between the two of them. Henley was a great MC. She had high expectations for herself and just tried so hard. She was relatable and likeable. And Graeme was perfect! Overall, I liked the chemistry between them and the back and forth banter. This is a great book to pick up if you are in the mood for a fun and fluffy romance.

A perfect getaway of a novel. Loved the cruise setting and the sweet build in this light enemies-to-lovers romance.

With the very relatable characters of Henley and Graeme, the hilarious supporting characters on the cruise ship and the fun settings of the cruise ship and Galapagos Islands this was a hard book to set down. The will they or won't the storyline was wonderfully written slow moving romance. The slow pace allows the reader get to know Graeme and Henley as they get to know each other. Henley is a strong and relatable character that is easy to root for while Graeme is not favorable but as we learn his backstory it is much easier to feel sympathetic for then at the beginning of the book.
This fun book takes you to the Galapagos Islands through the detailed description the author gives of the lush greenery and blue waters. The cruise seems so fun that it truly makes the reader want to jump on a ship for a fabulous vacation.
I highly recommend this book for a wonderful escape into the lives of Henley and Graeme while they figure out if they have a chance a happily ever after or if they will just learn to be better co-workers.
I am grateful to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

I think it’s very unfair to compare this book to The Hating Game and The Unhoneymooners, but I can see WHY marketing might aim that direction. It’s a clever trick to make readers think they’re getting a similar story when, in execution, the tropes may be the same but nothing else compares.
Henley is the most annoying MC I’ve ever read. She was a sheep and blamed other people for her displeasure but did nothing to change her situation. She complained continuously and if she talked about her advanced-graduated classes one more time I was going to snap. We get it, you’re getting an MBA. Move on. And to go with that—NOTHING in Henley’s narration even made me believe she wanted an MBA. She had no passion for business; her passion was in the title.
I understand that the author was trying to show how women in a male dominated office are often taken for granted, but Graeme 100% deserved the promotion because Henley’s proposal had NOTHING to do with the assignment she was given! Plus, she literally didn’t even like digital marketing.
As for the side characters, other than Walsh and Barbara, none of them moved the narrative forward. The lesbian mothers seemed like an afterthought to include some diversity but that seems very tasteless.
I tried so many times with this book, and I eventually waited and listened on Scribd (the narration is just as bad, if you’re wondering). I typically don’t review books I dislike this much but I don’t at all think it’s fair to compare this to such strong books in the genre.
I received an advance copy. All thoughts are my own.

Thank you to GalleryBooks and NetGalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book.
Shipped wasn't bad but it wasn't good. I expected more. It's 'fluffy' enough for a beach read but I have others I might recommend before it. There was a disconnect with the characters and I found myself not really caring about anyone. Maybe the story was too rushed to build the character development?

I loved this rom-com! It was funny and had fantastic characters. Can't wait to read more from this author.

I really enjoyed this novel! I had a few problems with the pacing but the characters were well developed and I LOVED the cruise setting. It makes me more eager to go on my next cruise later this year.

This was an absolutely perfect grumpy and sunshine trope, which is one of my favorites! This book made me laugh so much and I really liked the dynamic between Henley and Graeme. The cruise plot was so well written and I don’t think I ever got bored because there was always something new happening. I enjoyed this book overall and felt there was a lot of focus on Henley working hard as woman and setting her goals in place without having to rely on a male figure. Graeme was surprisingly a likeable character and I loved that he shared a level of intelligence and humor with Henley.

2.5 stars. This was a workplace romance/p with an enemies-to-friends theme, but it just didn’t grab me that much. The best parts were the scenes in the Galapagos, which really made me want to visit there someday.
I didn’t care for the main female character, Henley. She was a doormat at work (not standing up for her own ideas when she thought someone else was taking the credit, for example). I also thought it unbelievable that a cruise company employee, especially one working in marketing, had never been sent on a cruise by her employer. I’ve been on a few cruises and there are always corporate representatives and travel agents aboard.
Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for the opportunity to read an advance readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I loved this book. It was so fun and sweet, I loved Henleys journey. The cruise made me wish to be able to travel right now, I loved the romance with Graeme. The plot is so well thought out and written. It’s funny, sweet, and a perfect mix of what you want to read.
