This was a cute fun book. There wasn’t a lot of drama. I wouldn’t have minded more steam but I love steamy. This is good for people who don’t want a lot of open door romance and don’t particularly enjoy a super dramatic plot line

I loved this summer read; it was such a delight. This gives me such elements of a few favorite romances of The Hating Game between Graham and Henley and there were a few miscommunications. They both get sent to the Galapagos and the endgame is that the best proposal gets the promotion.
Along the way, I loved seeing the character growth of Henley as she finally realizes that she needed to stand up for herself as she also finds her own and how the trip to the Galapagos changed her mindset and do something better than just her.

Shipped is an adorable story that is perfectly described as the love child of The Hating Game and The Unhoneymooners! Henley and Graeme are workplace rivals who are up for the same promotion. In order to prepare a proposal for the position, they are both sent on a trip of a lifetime to the Galapagos. Henley is surprised to learn that her nemesis is actually pretty nice and lines between enemy and lover begin to fade.
I usually adore any hate-to-love trope and when this book was described as The Hating Game mixed with The Unhoneymooners, I was eager to jump in. Shipped was the perfect relaxed read and I devoured it. It was filled with fun banter, exotic places, and so much more. It was fun, flirty, and came to a perfect end. I loved how well-described the Galapagos and excursions were, it really immersed the reader into the experienced. The characters were so charming and well-detailed. Angie Hockman's ability to give every single character a full and complete storyline was what really made this book for me. Even minor characters were thought out.
Hockman's desire to tell a fun story while reminding readers of the threats the Galapagos face made this book a perfect read for me. A romcom that isn't just fluff will always be a 10 out of 10 for me!

I really enjoyed this novel, for its relatable characters, its quirky characters, and it’s fun setting (visiting the Galápagos Islands is on my bucket list!). I liked the chemistry between Graeme and Henley, I just wish their relationship went deeper—for a long time I felt their attraction was mostly physical (I wanted to see more of an emotional connection that never quite materialized for me). Overall, a read that I’ll recommend.

This was a quick, fluffy romance that’s perfect for reading on the beach. While the characters were fun, I had a hard time connecting with them. The romance felt almost rushed. I think a little more tension build up would have gone a long way. While it wasn’t my favorite, I recommend it to readers who love sugar sweet romances!

If you enjoyed The Unhoneymooners or The Boyfriend Project you need to pick up Shipped! An enemies to lovers troupe that has you giggling and swooning. This in's a total fluff read though, Hockman does a great job identifying and addressing inequities in the work place on different levels. Shipped was easy to into and kept my attention throughout and had me totally engrossed at the end wanting to see how it all played out.

This is a romance/contemporary/chick-lit/women's fiction book. I cannot put into words how much I love this book. This book was so freaking cute and sweet. I love the two main characters Henley Evans and Graeme Crawford-Collins. The romance was so burning. Henley started out the book hating Graeme because of a misunderstanding that happen years ago. Henley and Graeme ended up going over the same promotion, and the ending was the best. I have hear this compared to the Unhoneymooners personally this book was so much better then the unhoneymooners. If you are looking for a slow moving romance book that is to sweet and cute with great characters then this is the book for you. I really love this book so much. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Gallery Books) or author (Angie Hockamn) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review about how I feel about this book, and I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

This was a light reading, very different from what I usually read. Although I do enjoy a light read, this was too fluffy for my taste. The main character acts like an out of control teenager sometimes without rhyme or reason. Instead of having an adult conversation with a co-worker she feels slighted her, she resorts to immature behavior and name calling that's not even clever or funny (Graeme cracker, really?).
Speaking of Graeme, completely irrelevant, but the name choices in this book are strange and distracting in some cases.
I had a hard time getting into this book. For a romance novel, there was too much focus on the business side of things and it could get pretty boring, pretty fast.
I did enjoy the Galapagos part, it was entertaining, educational and very interesting.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC

🚢Book Review: Shipped ❤️
I really really liked this book! 🥰
Thank you @netgalley for this book in exchange for my review! I listened to this book and the audiobook was really good!
You’d enjoy this book if you love:
•strong female characters
•enemies to lovers
•co-worker romance
•books set on a cruise ship
I loved Henley and Graham’s characters! Their chemistry, character depth and overall personalities were well written!
I didn’t love Henleys relationship with her sister at first but it grew on me as the story went on.
I especially loved the ending and would love to read a sequel to this book!💕

I thought this sounded like such a fun rom-com, and compared to two books I enjoyed? yes please! Unfortunately I could not get into Shipped as much as I hoped. I think trying to read about a cruise ship during a pandemic was also a little difficult. DNF

I received this book complimentary from NetGalley but all opinions are my own.
This was very sweet. The story was good. Graeme and Henley were well-written, interesting characters. I love the ending especially and Graeme’s lack of interest in holding Henley back. I do love a good sex scene though but this was a fade-to-black. It was still good though and I’m glad I read it. I will read other books by this author!!

Thanks NetGalley for the preview!
I really enjoyed this story! Henley and Graeme were adorable and well thought out characters. Let's just say that the lip sync scene and following chapter were EPIC! I loved the will they won't they. The ending was exciting and made me happy that Henley got more than just romance out of her self-discovery.

Henley Evans has been working so hard at her job in marketing for a cruise line. She deserves the latest promotion at work. She is even going back to school to get her MBA. This promotion should be hers, or maybe not? They are also considering her co-worker Graeme Crawford-Collins, who she can't stand and just so happens to work in her division, except he is in charge of social media. She has never met him as he works from home, but he drives her nuts through email daily. Their boss has decided that both Graeme and Henley are candidate for the promotion need to submit a proposal that outlines how to increase cruise sales to the Galapagos Islands. They can also take the cruise themselves to better get an idea on how to promote it. This should be an exciting time for Henley, except that she has to spend the week with Graeme on a ship. Despite her best efforts, she is starting to feel something for Graeme. Is it the beautiful location, the cocktails, and his perfect bod in a swim suit? Henley can't let this go to her head, because what about the promotion? Angie Hockman's Shipped is a fun enemies-to-lovers tale set against the beautiful tropical backdrop of the Galapagos Islands.
Henley is a character that readers can really root for in Shipped. She works hard, loves her job, but has that one co-worker that gets under her skin. Thankfully, she doesn't have to see him at work as his job is remote. That is until they are both vying for the same job and put on the same cruise together. Avid romance readers will know this trope---the whole enemies to lovers in the work place, but Hockman sets herself apart by having such an incredible setting of the Galapagos Islands.
Graeme is the type of character that we love to hate in Shipped. His emails drive Henley nuts, but once she hangs out with him in person, she realizes he is so much more than the man behind the screen, not to mention his good looks! They have an epic rivalry, but what will happen to those boundaries once they are crossed? Hockman shares Graeme's backstory, which tugged on my heartstrings and made me feel sympathetic a bit more than before.
What really stands out in Shipped is the outstanding setting of Galapagos Islands; in fact, Hockman includes a lot of information about the environment there and the unique wildlife, which I wasn't expecting. The cruise to the Galapagos is the perfect beach read setting, especially as their romance blossoms.
So, if you like an enemies-to-lovers romance and want a gorgeous setting, look no further. This was a fun romance and would be the perfect light read to throw in your beach bag this summer.

This was a very cute, fast read. Romcoms are slowly becoming one of my favorite genres and this is an excellent edition. I would recommend this.

I had so much angst throughout the entire book. The only thing that carried me through was major nostalgia for the Viking river cruise I've taken. Finished to fulfill the pop sugar prompt a book that take place mostly outside.
My primary complaint with this book is that throughout the ENTIRE plot, the author never sufficiently addressed the issue of misogyny in the workplace and the advantage being a white male gives you. The hero from the beginning takes credit for work the heroine has done (okay, okay he's just misunderstood). But even once that is resolved, there's still the issue of being on speaker phone for her meeting and not being announced, so she didn't know you were listening on the meeting for the promotion you're both up for. And okay, he's not the one enacting all of these things, he's just getting the advantage unfairly. But when the heroine finally expresses why she dislikes the hero, he tells her she needs to stand up for herself. After that, I was just one big NOPE.
Having experienced this in the workplace myself, it's not so simple as "just stand up for yourself" ESPECIALLY when it comes to someone who outranks you. The fact that she ends up agreeing with him, and he never has any realization that his journey to promotion was SO MUCH EASIER than hers? It felt like the author doesn't really understand how that dynamic should have evolved. On the other hand, kudos for demonstrating EXACTLY what it's like when the man gets the preferential treatment and the promotion and never realizes how easy he has it.

Man this took me forever to pick back up but it was a good summer beach read. It's the type of book that you don't need to really think about and can get through quickly. Great way to get out of a reading slump. I liked the setting and honestly I am DYING to travel again so it was great to read about a different place. There was nothing groundbreaking about this romance but I ended up enjoying it while I was reading.
I received an ARC of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a cute story! I loved our main character Henley. I really love a good character driven story, so this one was so great as we get to see Henley make mistakes, learn from them and grow.
The pacing was good, and I never found that any part of the story dragged. In fact, I had a hard time putting this one down lol
Overall a very fun and cute romantic story. Highly recommend.

Henley is the perfect heroine in this story. She works hard and Henley is her intriguing remote coworker. When they compete for a dream job centered around a cruise set in the Galapagos islands the sparks fly. Thank you for the advanced reader copy of this book.

I’m hooked on these island type of stories. Maybe cause it summer and I’m thinking of vacation or traveling. Go read for you next adventure.

Shipped was such a fun read. I devoured it in just over a day. All the details about the Galápagos Islands really brought the setting to life. I definitely enjoyed the reading experience, but I did find Henley, the main character, to be a little too unlikeable. I appreciated the work focused storyline in addition to the romance storyline, and how that came together at the end. I was touched by the author's note at the end of the book. It's clear this setting and additional storyline are important to her.
