What a fun concept. After reading Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren I've just been in the mood for tropical set stories. While I didn't like this one as much as I was hoping, it was still good!

I really enjoyed this book. It was boasted to be similar to the Unhoneymooners which is an easy favorite of mine and so it had big shoes to fill. What I found was a good rom-com. It was the perfect balance of sweet and steamy, and characters you can't help but fall in love with.

It had me laughing out loud. With a great travel setting when we can't get out ourselves. I really want to visit the Galapagos Islands now!

If you like the enemy to lover trope check this out.

This one definitely had some promise and bright spots, but ultimately just fell flat for me. It seemed stilted and at times so awkward it was painful--not funny. I think Hockman is a great writer and I'm interested to see what she does in the future but I also think that labeling this as a readalike for The Hating Game and The Unhoneymooners is doing it a disservice because it's just not on the same level as those.

This was a fun book. It was a great book to read in between thrillers and heavy books.

It was light and easy to read. I really enjoyed that she didn't let her romance get in the way of her career. But she still had a relationship.

I also loved that communication was not a problem. They opened up pretty fast about how they felt and I love that!

If you are looking for a quick read fun read then this is for you!

Thank you to Netgalley and Gallery Books for this eARC!

This book was a delightful surprise: great writing, great tension between the characters, fantastic setting. At first Henley was a bit intense for my liking, but along the way I could also understand why she needed to be that way. I loved Graeme, the man with all the right actions and reactions. And Galápagos, in a way another character in the book, was inspiring and just the right setting for the events that take place in the book. I will be looking out for Angie Hockman's next book, maybe I'll even read it during a trip to beautiful Galápagos.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

So good! I’ve heard this compared to Unhoneymooners meets The Hating Game, both of which I loved, so naturally I just had to read this book! This book was so entertaining and easy to blaze through because I could barely put it down. Fun and witty banter, great location and descriptions of the Galapagos, and great chemistry between Henley and Graeme. Definitely my favorite romance of the year.

One day, I was scrolling through Netgalley and I saw this book. I thought wow I would totally cover buy this but as soon as I read the line, “The Unhoneymooners meets The Hating Game...” I immediately pressed the request button!

I am so happy that I got approved because this book did not disappoint and y’all know how much I love enemies to lovers!!! I love love love Henley because she’s a very driven, hardworking, and a strong heroine.. wooo girl power! lol 😍 I did love Graeme too especially the chemistry between him and Henley!! I was swooning! I just wish there was more sexual tension and angst. Definitely not as steamy as how The Unhoneymooners and The Hating Game were which is fine with me (I guess 🤣)

Oh and talk about the location! Galapagos! OMG 😩 The setting was so vividly described that it made me imagine I was really there! My oh my it was added on my bucket list right after reading this book!

Really enjoyed reading this debut novel by Angie Hockman and I’m looking forward to reading more from her.

I needed a good getaway book this week. I felt like I was on vacation right along with Henley and Graeme.

I loved their work competitiveness (for sure hating game vibes) and their chemistry!

However, I do have to warn you this is closed door steam! But the writing was so enjoyable it doesn’t even matter. I loved every minute of it!

The ending was especially my favorite... Henley is a straight BOSS.

Shipped is the story of two co-workers who are competing for the same position at their travel company. They are both sent on the same cruise to create competing proposals for the new position. I love enemies-to-lovers stories, and I also love cruise stories, so this book hit all the marks. The description of the Galapagos Islands was really well done. Clearly the author has spent time in there region. I loved the slow-burn romance, and while there was a little steam, it wasn't overdone and the actual love scene was a cutaway scene. THANK YOU!! I appreciate that so much. So many contemporary romance books give us ALL the details, and I hate that. It takes away from the romance. Overall, this was a great read and I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Super cute beachy read. Honestly, I feel as if this is the 2021 love hate romance of the year. This novel does not only revolve around a love hate relationship, but discusses domestic abuse. There is also a queer relationship in the novel. As everyone says, if you love the unhoneymooners, you will love this story. Next time, you are on the beach, grab this book. You won't regret it.

This was such a sweet and fun book! I loved the characters. The competition and chemistry between Henley and Graeme was electrically wonderful! I loved the banter and the depth of their personalities. They made this story even more enjoyable and gave it more depth. I loved that they were able to keep the story lighthearted while still exploring deeper and more real themes. They felt real in a way that not all characters in a romance feel. I could relate to them both and it made their story all the more lovely. I loved the setting. Having worked on a cruise ship before, I enjoyed the memories and was pleasantly surprised by the exploration of the Galapagos and tourism that this took. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to more from this author!

I am not a person “cruise” person. I typically view closed-door romances as boring and a waste of time. So Shipped was climbing an uphill battle in terms of my expectations. But as much as I fought it, I could not put this book down. Angie Hockman has SWAYED me. This was such a fun romantic comedy. The emotion that fills the pages of each characters is rich. The story has many twists and turns that have great pay offs. The imagery takes you to being on a small cruise ship in the Galapagos surrounded by large iguanas and watching flamingos flying away. The writing was fantastic, flowed easily, and still left me wanting more at the end. Everyone should pick up this wonderful book!

Loved this. I just save five stars for OMG YOU MUST READ THIS NOW books. This was a solid 4 1/2 stars. :)

While I loved the characters in this book, and their quirks and issues and needs, I really loved the character of the Galapagos Islands and all of the information shared about them. I have always wanted to go, and now this is basically my next big trip.

This is a fun and fast read. If you like travel, Seattle, strong and smart women, this book is for you!

ENJOYED!!

Sweet enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy!

Henley and Graeme work for company cruise ship and are up for the same promotion. They get roped into sailing together to the Galápagos, taking part in excursions, and each coming up with a winning proposal for their boss. With the help of Henley’s sister and a fun cast of characters, the two experience an adventure of a lifetime.

Really cute story, and great characters. I loved the beach atmosphere and the inspiring ending.

A special thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for sending me a copy!

This was such a fun story! I will definitely be reading whatever Angie Hockman puts out. She even made me want to take a cruise, which is something I always said I would never do!

This book was so cute! It would be a great movie!

The plot was creative and the writing and characters were the cherry on top. I thought Angie Hockman did a great job using zoom meetings and working from home. Relationships can start over zoom and you might not even know it! I enjoyed learning Graham’s back story throughout the book. I really fell for Graham.
I also loved that the characters cruised to the Galápagos Islands! I learned about the land and that they need help to keep it native.
This was a wonderful book! I will be sharing it with all my book loving friends!

What they say about The Unhoneymooners and The Hating Game is true! This is all the tension of hate to love on vacation and competing for a very important promotion!
