I have a son with dyslexia, so this book really hit home for me. I could really relate to the appointments early on with the pediatrician. I will never forget the doctor saying to me, "kids will talk when they are ready." After that, I didn't know what to do. It wasn't until a good friend who was a teacher told me that there was something wrong that I reluctantly went against my pediatrician's advice and started getting help for my son. If I could do it all over again, the only thing I would have done differently is gotten him into early intervention. It's been a long road to get my son the help he needs. I wish I read this book when I was going through all of this! It's a must-read for parents who have kids with dyslexia!
