I enjoyed the premise of this and it definitely makes you think what you would do in that situation. I didn’t really warm to the characters as they weren’t particularly likeable but I did enjoy the plot and the ending

I admit, I was hoping this would be a boink-fest a la Nigel May or a Jackie Collins-esque type book filled with Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.... a little disappointed on that front but I still thought it was an enjoyable beach read type book.

This was a fantastic debut novel that was very well written. The plot is so good that I couldn’t put it down and was not what I expected at all.
Many thanks to Independently Published and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Money issues invariably take a toll on a marriage - but how can too much money be a problem? V.R. Street explores that very theme in Lucky, and throws in the pressure of a reality show as well. I though it was a very clever premise. I must admit that the characters seemed a bit two dimensional at times, almost unlikable. I appreciated the author's choice to show flashes of character growth , conscience, and backbone as the story progressed. My only issue was the abruptness of the ending. I was entertained and would read a V R Street novel in the future.

Really enjoyed this book. It was light-hearted easy reading sometimes but as the story progressed, infuriating most of the time. For me personally, that's not a bad thing. If I'm feeling something, then I'm attached to the characters and involved in the storyline. The main character was blinded by love and insecurity which drove me insane but I loved to hate the scoundrel of the story. A modern story involving reality TV and believable characters. I really enjoyed reading this book even though the main character didn't behave how I wanted her to behave and frustrated me. I was constantly swinging between pity and annoyance! I was happier with the ending but you should definitely have a read for yourself.

I was completely into this book. Lucky depicts what happens when a couple wins over $300 million in the lottery. Kat actually won the money but she is talked into putting her struggling actor husband, Michael on the ticket. Michael is a complete louse. I was frustrated as Kat kept getting sweet talked into blowing through the money because they signed on to a reality show and Maria is devious and Pushes Michael to spend large so the ratings will climb. There were a few surprises in the plot, but I just wanted to yell at Kat and Michael for spending like a sieve. There were a couple of good scenes when I cheered for Kat and her actions, but she was way too easy on her jerky husband. Lucky is a good read, but it's also a lesson in what not to do if you win the lottery.

A lottery winner, a reality tv show and a book that is really good. A perfect and enjoyable rags to riches story. My thanks to NetGalley for providing this ARC.

Opposites may attract in a relationship, but when the drama is increased ten fold, can it survive? The unlikely odds of winning the lottery is bad enough pressure on a young couple, but this book adds a quirky and dangerous element of staring in a reality show. The details of New York, behind the scenes of a production manager, are fascinating. It opens the world of mansions, high-end jewelry auctions, fast expensive cars and more to those of us who can only dream. A great beach read!

Good book. Easy to read in a couple days. Liked all of the characters except Michael. He absolutely has no redeeming qualities!! Kept hoping Maria would do the "right thing". It is a great book to read at the beach and relax!

If there was ever a story of winning the lottery kit being the leading we might it is, this is the book!! Well written, great characters - some more likeable than others!! Read it really quickly and it was an enjoyable read! Perfect for a beach holiday or a staycation which is far more likely in 2020!! Thank you for letting me review this book.

Thanks netgallery for the book. Took a little while to get into it but was glad i continued, really enjoyed it.
The dream we all have of winning the lottery came to Kat and Michael but as the story developed money isnt everything.
Good easy read

What would you do if you won the lottery? Save it, spend it all, somewhere in the middle?
Lucky follows Michael & Kat (husband & wife) as they win the jackpot.
Maria is a TV producer looking to impress her father by showing him she made the right choice by going into TV. Maria comes up with an idea to follow the winners and turn what they do into a reality show. The book follows what happens - do they make smart choices? Do they make moral choices? Do they make sound financial choices? The book follows them and the ending was quite a suprise.
Enjoy! This is V. R. Street's first novel - I cannot wait to see what she does next.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley to review. Thank you for the opportunity
This book was really interesting, I enjoyed the look behind the scenes in a way of the millionaire family. It was a unique concept and angle to the rich family angle. The writing is good and sharp, making the writing extremely readable.
There were some cliché at times but I felt it was too be expected in this type of book.
On the whole, a great, very readable book.
