This was a fantastic ending to a amazing, fun series that was an absolute joy to read. Kinda sad that it is over, wish there was more. Maybe the royal babies get their stories? Hope author does re-visit these characters in the future. Christi Barth absolutely killed it with Tempting the Prince. I cant word how fantastic this book is. Its sweet, its sexy, its heartwarming, it hits you in the feels, its so well written you end up devouring it because how in the actual heck could anyone expect you to be able to put it down. So get in your favourite chair, grab a glass of wine or bottle (lol) and some snacks and get to devouring this amazing book and series. Happy reading everyone!! |
Love and duty cross paths & butt heads in this read. Can they coexist? Christian, Crown Prince of Moncriano has been preparing for the throne all his life, but lately, it's been way too hard. A breath of fresh air in the form of his long-lost sister's not-sister gives him the break he didn't know he needed and the love he'd always wanted. Mallory Wishner never dreamed that the prince would ever be attracted to her, much less fall for her. But in a deeply traditional country, and one where outsiders are generally mistrusted, Mallory realises that her happiness could very well have an expiration date. I enjoyed the book. Some parts made me laugh, some made me smile deeply, and other parts were just so sweet. This would make a pretty good movie. And like I recommend that you read it, I'd tell you to watch it, too! I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book. |
This was a sweet, fun book I enjoyed reading. It made me laugh and swoon and I enjoyed the characters. I did not feel a lot of connection to the story, but I did like writing and I will definitely be reading more from this author. |

Tempting the Prince is the third book in the Sexy Misadventures of the Royals. I honestly think that reading this series in order makes the books better. It’s been a great series and I’m glad I found this author and got the opportunity to read them. The book was fast-paced and attention-grabbing. The characters were charming and realistic. The plot was fun and light. The witty banter was hilarious, and you couldn’t help but fall in love with the characters. I |
I really love this book. It was so helpful for me and I'm so thankful I got to read it early. Thanks so much netgalley. You da real MVP of life and America. |
Tempting the Prince was an enjoyable read. The author hit all the right notes with multi-dimensional characters, an interesting plot, and an all-around well-written story. I'll be looking for more books by Ms. Barth. |
I wasn't aware that this was a part of a series but that didn't stop me from enjoying it any less. I enjoyed the romance between the characters and longed for more after I finished. |
This is the third book in a series and it is highly recommended that you read these in order since they build on each other. This is the story of Christian, the crown prince and Mallory, the best friend/sister of the lost princess. Their story has been building for the past few books and this did not disappoint. Their story is sweet and fiery, and it was a satisfying conclusion to the series. I definitely recommend these to all romance novel fans. |
Mallory and Christian were so.delightful. I loved this romantic and swoony royal story. It was full of lighthearted and romantic moments I could not get enough of. I enjoyed the previous books in the series and was so.excited to read the third book in this series. Overall, This was an amazing read! I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. 4 stars! ~Ratula |

I received a copy of this book to review from Netgalley to review. Thank you for the opportunity. I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun and light-hearted read, perfect for any fans of royalty. It wasn't afraid to poke fun at itself and at the usual tropes seen in similar novels. I found this book to be a great pick me up and a welcome distractions from the stresses of the modern world. The characters are amusing with good heart, allowing the reader to join the world of the book, feeling amongst friends. I had not read the previous books in the trilogy and this book did contain some spoilers from the previous books, however, it contained its own stand alone story. I liked the connections between past MC's and this book and I would enjoy reading the previous stories in the series. I really liked Mallory and Christian as characters in their own right as well as a couple. This book has plenty of steamy moments alongside sweet ones and a fair share of funny moments. I would definitely recommend this book to any fans of royal romances or just anyone looking for a sweet romance pick me up. Happy reading! |
3.5 Stars i would say. This is the last booking in a trilogy however I've only read this one and managed just fine. There are references to the past books, but its not difficult to figure out what happened before. The past events are brought up often, like you might forget Mallory was shot at some point while reading this. It was a bit of a slow start for me to get into the book but once I was about 15% in, it moved quickly. There's not a lot of anything new here. I assure you, you can get the trajectory of this book. But still an enjoyable read. |
I enjoyed the first novel in this series, and somehow missed the second. The third (this book) was my favorite of the two I read. Who doesn't love a good royalty-commoner trope? |
This wasn’t one of my favorite books by Christi Barth, I’m sorry to say. It is the last in a trilogy of connected stories, which had a lot to do with it. The writing was fine, and I found myself reading through the book just fine. What bothered me were all the many references to people and events that I had no clue about. If I had read the previous two books I’m sure it would have been much clearer, but since I hadn’t I was a bit at sea. I also found the notion of the two main characters starting a serious relationship after knowing each other such a short time to be a little unbelievable. Yes, they may have had a great connection, but considering the guy is set to be the next king and she’s an American, it seems that there should have been a lot more consideration to what a relationship between them would mean. And I was so tired of hearing about how hard a relationship between them would be, how impossible it seemed. Geesh. It was repeated over and over. And something that happened in the midst of the story also bothered me quite a bit. (SLIGHT SPOILER) The two main characters are out at a festival, their first time taking their relationship public. The heroine, Mallory, accidentally kills a white peacock, the emblem of the country. I found it really distasteful to use an animal’s death like that. At the very least the author could have instead said the animal was badly hurt. It’s a personal thing, but it really did bother me. (END SPOILER) I think this book would have made a much better novella, as a way to wrap up the series. It seemed there was just too much angst over the relationship repeated again and again. Note: I received a copy of this book from the publisher in return for an honest review. |
Tempting the Prince by Christi Barth is the third book in the Sexy Misadventures of Royals series. Who wouldn't love a book from a series with that title? I didn't realize going in that it was from an established series, but it functions as a stand-alone book as well. You'll just miss a few of the references and established storylines. Leads Christian and Mallory have strong chemistry, and it's fun to see how their relationship evolves. I'd definitely read other books in the series. Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own. |
So apparently this is a series but I had no clue. This is my first Christi book. And I am pleasantly surprised. This is about series about royal siblings and Tempting The Prince is about Christian and his journey to love. This sort of like enemies to lovers with Kelsey’s(from The Princess Problem) sister Mallory. There’s an attraction that blooms when finally getting on mutual terms and the chemistry is set on fire. Their individual struggles flows over into their relationships. But...there’s always a but isn’t there? When Christian is thrust into the roll of being king sooner than either expects this is when the book picks up. Mallory knows their relationship is on borrowed time, even so she respects all traditions and regulations that his kingdom might have. There’s obvious obstacles that drown Mallory in her feelings and the offenders around them feed off the negativity going on. So do they get a triumphant ending or does the crown rule the man over his love for her? Thank you to the publisher Entangle and Netgalley for allowing me to read an ARC! |
Very predictable and the same story we've all heard/seen before of a non-royal dating a royal but what kept this fresh for me was the witty banter/dialogue. I really enjoyed reading it for the inner monologue's that the characters had. Overall it charmed me and I would recommend giving a it a go if you like witty rom-coms and prince charming stories. I received an advanced copy in exchange for a review. |
Tempting the Prince was definitely a fun read! I loved the romcom aspect of it. I think it would make the perfect Hallmark or Lifetime movie. The writing was really well done and had my laughing out loud several times. The connection between Mallory and Christian was so hot! Highly recommend this fun romance. |
This book was ok. I didn't really buy into the couple of Christian and Mallory from the beginning when they had sex from the jump. Royal AU aren't normally my jam and I found the plot predictable and the characters dull. |
I really enjoyed this book, from the writing to the main characters, this book made for such a great entertaining read. I thought the plot was really interesting and it so well developed. This was both lovely and funny, and it couldn’t put it down, it was so captivating! I am sucker for romance and this was so sweet! Overall, I really recommend this book, it was a really good read. |
Tempting the Prince was an ok read for me. It was an average royal rom-com. I haven't read the other books in the series, however it can be read as a stand-alone, but it may increase the enjoyment levels if I went in with some familiarity with the characters/setting. It was a pleasant read, but not one that will stay with me, or that I can see myself frequently revisiting. If you're looking for an enjoyable, easy, funny and romantic read, then this is right up your alley. The royal romance is one that we've seen often - an American woman takes a Crown Prince by storm, and the Prince has to buck royal tradition to be with his true love. Mallory is the sister of the long-lost princess of Mocriano. Following an unsuccessful assassination attempt on her sister's life, Mallory is swept up in the royal family, and then becomes the victim of a plot herself, Christian is the Crown Prince that needs to find a "proper" wife as the future ruler of this country. He's loyal, charming, engaging, and a little bit unsure of himself and how he fits into the future of his country. He also quickly finds himself smitten by Mallory, and that certainly throws him for a loop. Mallory and Christian have a connection and chemistry, and they quickly discover and acknowledge that they are in love. This is definitely a fast path to their happily-ever-after, but it is a fun read along the way. Tempting The Prince is a romantic comedy at heart, with just a touch of angst through in to keep it interesting. |
