This is my first read from Christi and I can honestly say that won’t be the last, specially because I love sooo much this story, that I can’t wait to read the first two books of this series. This amazing royal romance brings the heat, the fun and what I liked the most was how the author showed that the behind of a royal life is not all sunshine and flowers.
When her sister, Kelsey, finds out that she isn’t actually blood to Mallory, but an actual princess, both their lives changes drastically as they move from the US to Alcarsa Palace in Europe. After protecting her sister and gets shot, Mallory is back to the palace, trying to deal with her future and the ramifications of the shooting.
What I loved the most about Mallory is that, even though she has a lot of reasons to complain, she doesn’t. She is struggling, there is no doubt, she doesn’t know how to fit at the palace and also has to deal with the probably infertility issue she has because of the shooting. But she is so strong, smart, sassy and amazing.
Christian is the crown prince and I was swooning so hard over him every single time! He cares a lot for his family and now with his father sick, he has to fill the King shoes. And it has to been easy for him, at all, there’s also a lot of expectations of whom he should marry and bear children.
Together they are amazing, they complete one another and help navigate each other’s lives. They are soulmates and their friendship evolves is so beautiful. I was totally enchanted with them. Their chemistry was so palpable and I could only feel it increase with each page.
They loved each other so much that they were willing to sacrifice themselves to protect the ones they love and the country. I was so glad that the actual King talked to Christian and showed him what was really worthy in life.
The end was super beautiful and funny. I loved every second. I wish I had more pages to read about them all, they are so entertaining! Give me more!

With such a fun premise, this book is ideal for escapist reading. The one thing I had a hard time with was that the Prince's inner voice was too much like an American teenager, it was distracting. That said, you go into a story like this open to suspend disbelief so it was still a fun fantasy between a Prince and his long lost sister's life sister (ha!). This is a part of a series, and even though it was possible to figure out the backstory, I would recommend starting with the previous books.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Although this was definitely not the book for me, I like the pacing of the book. It's fast and kept you engaged with the story. It says it was an standalone but in the first chapter I was pretty lost, thankfully the author does a very good job explaining the happenings of previous books so I wasn't that lost after that. I do recommend reading the previous books before this.
My problem with this book is that If I can't connect with the main characters is pretty obvious I'm not going to like a book and boy did I dislike Mallory. Since chapter one, I disliked her with passion. I found her whole personality very whiny and childish like I'll give you an example, in chapter 12, Mallory defending her "relationship" with Christian sounded like the scene from the little mermaid where Ariel is "defending her love" for Eric... that immature; and I don't enjoy reading characters like that. Now Christian, I didnt care about him. I found him plain and bland. I didn't see real growth with him either. Their "love story" which was a month by the way was not very credible. They barely saw and spoke to each other and then suddenly they were in love and risking traditions for their one month love? Yeah, o don't buy that. The whole romance part felt very lacking and sort of incomplete; maybe I do need to read the previous books to understand this one because as a standalone... it wasn't a favorite.

This book is part of a series. I haven’t read the others, however I didn’t feel like I needed to In order to understand. The author does a great job of going you the background that you need. This book is written in plain language. I also found it to be a very easy read. Overall I would rate it a 3.
I received an ARC of this book for a unbiased review.

I’ll start by saying I have read this series, so while each book can be read as a stand-alone, there are of course a few things that pop up in this story that might be confusing to a reader who hasn’t read the previous two books.
But I think the author does a good job of explaining the most important highlights. As the story is Mallory’s, there really isn’t a need to rehash how Kelsey got kidnapped and end up in the U.S. In fact, there are times when I wouldn’t mind not hearing Kelsey’s name at all, because she’s not entirely likeable at certain points.
I enjoyed Mallory and Christian’s chemistry and banter. Yes, their relationship was fast, but have ya’ll not read a romance before? Whenever there’s either a time limit on a relationship and/or the promise that the characters won’t fall in love with each other...you know that’s going to blow up in their faces! That’s why we read them...well, one of the reasons!
I’m not drawn to royal romance as a rule, nor am I a “royal watcher”. I find the restrictions put on the members of the family sometimes totally ridiculous. But I did get much enjoyment from this book and I enjoyed Ms. Barth’s twist on the royal/commoner love story.

When Mallory found out that her sister Kelsey was a princess who had been kidnapped and adopted by her parents, she wanted to do whatever she could to make the transition easier for her. This is how she finds herself feeling out of her element and trying to deny the feelings she has for Christian as they can never be together.
Christian is the heir to the throne, and he has always known where his responsibilities lie and it is now time for him to chose an appropriate bride and provide future heirs. The only problem with that plan is the feelings that he has for Mallory that are escalating by the day and he is conflicted between loyalty to his family and his love for her.
This is a sweet and sexy story about the power of love and the struggle between finding a balance between honoring tradition and following your heart. Their interactions are both humorous and hot and there is no denying that she is exactly what he needs in his life.

I enjoyed this light hearted read. Its nice to see how far Kelsey has come from being an american to becoming a Lady; quite literally A Lady (Baroness). The Prince was a likable enough hero and loved seeing him from both sides as a human, regular guy and then the strict Prince who must live up to that title. The book did go alittle slow for me in the beginning but that is because it was setting it all up and I had read the previous book and so knew all of those details. I am excited for the next book to come out and really enjoy this author.

Tempting the Prince is the third book in the Sexy Misadventures of Royals series. I’m assuming they are all written as stand-alone titles because I haven’t read any other books in the series and I had no problems following the storyline. The author did a good job filling in the blanks without being too heavy on the backstory.
What I liked about the book: It’s kind of like a grown-up, sexier, and edgier version of A Christmas Prince, and that’s one of my favorite movies. I watch it year-round, over and over again.
NICUnurse’s Rating: Christi Barth is a new-to-me author, but I love finding new authors that I fall in love with their writing so it was an easy choice whether or not to read this book. Reading new authors is always a gamble, but in this instance, I was definitely the winner. Despite the fact that I began the series at the end (for now???), I had no issues figuring out the sum of the previous 2 books. And I enjoyed it enough that I’ve added the first 2 books to my TBR. The characters were easy to get to know and the storyline flowed well. My heart broke for Mallory. She’s on this emotional rollercoaster not of her own making, for the most part, and trying to figure out what her next steps should be all while grieving a future she thought she had all figured out. And Prince Christian is also dealing with a lot of the same issues in a different way, so my heart went out to him, as well. While there are sexy and light-hearted moments, this book also touches on some very heavy topics like grief and depression. The author managed to balance the sexy, light-hearted, and heavy times very well so that it didn’t feel overwhelmingly dark. Overall, I was pleasantly pleased with the story, and I’ll definitely be looking to read more of Christi Barth’s works.
I give Tempting the Prince by Christi Barth 4 out of 5 stars!

I have not read the other books in this series but found this was ok as a standalone.
I enjoyed this. It was a fun summer read with a royal twist.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the 2nd in a series. Fun adventures in a castle! Love is in the air. This book made me laugh, and cry, but mostly laugh. This is Mallory's and Christians story. And what a wild time. I can't imagine having No privacy. 4 stars. I recommend this to any romance reader.

This book is part of a series, however, as I have not read the previous books I would like to point out that, in my opinion, it did not impact on my reading experience.
I really wanted to enjoy this book! I found the author did an amazing job on filling in the gaps from previous books so I felt I knew who the characters were and their roles. What I didn't get was the characters if I'm honest., I didn't find them appealing. I didn't understand their chemistry or connection. I found the whole thing lacked "spark"! sorry. I loved how the author's descriptions yet the characters still felt a little flat in my opinion. There were certain elements that I felt were repetitive and yet were not consistent.
Sorry but this book was not for me.

I'm a bit ambivalent about this book. While I had a good time reading it and it went by really quick, I also wasn't entirely sold on the romance and the characters in general.
This was extremely insta-lovey which I guess makes sense but I just didn't really buy the romance and attraction between Mallory and the prince at first. Likewise, their banter was fun but I just thought they wouldn't know each other that well yet to be this comfortable around each other right off the bat.
Sometimes, the writing was extremely contradictory. We would always have the characters talking about how they couldn't be together because it was not allowed but then they were right back to the start and would get together only to then not be really together - in all honesty, it all boiled down to miscommunication which isn't my favorite trope especially when the characters are supposed these mature people close to 30.
Nevertheless, I loved the accessible writing (Barth really knows how to write fun and quick dialogue that will make you fly through the pages) and the overall royal mood - I honestl would love to read the first two books and see what I missed about the country and the setting in general as well as the other two couples.

What happens when you mix an average American woman with a decidedly not average future King?
This is sort of a mix of stand-alone and you need to read the first books to kind of place all the characters and what's happened.
It's a light read with some drama and comedy about Prince Christian and Mallory, whose romance is fairly quick to decide if they're forever or not.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book received from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this book but I did have to end up reading the previous book in the series so I could understand what was going on a little better. But I'm also a person that if a book I want to read has books before it I have to read them. Lol

Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for allowing me to read this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Mallory found out earlier her summer that her sister Kelsey wasn't actually her sister but the missing princess of a country they had never heard of. Now she's walking around the palace, an American in over her head especially when it comes to Kelsey's brother Christian, not related to Mallory, Thank GOD!
Christian sets his sights on Mallory knowing that whenever he becomes the king he's not going to be able to marry a commoner, but he can't stay away. Mallory really is tempting fate and the handsome Prince at the same time.
I requested this series based on the comment that the books are each standalone, but that doesn't seem to be the case. There are characters in the other series that are present and inside jokes and comments that I'm sure would be better received by those who actually read the rest of the series. It was very much a slew of "Hey, remember that one time that this happened?" No, no I don't because I didn't read the other books.
Mallory is in her mid 20's and Christian is nearing 30, but they felt like they were written much younger and much more inexperienced. Christian is a playboy, like most Princes in these books, but he and Mallory have a fling in the first few chapters and he's smitten. Like, completely enchanted by her to the point where he's ready to be her boyfriend no matter what. If I had seen the build up in the other books, it would make sense, but it really felt very rushed. The characters are written like they have chemistry but we don't get to see the chemistry, it's went from 0-60 a little fast.
If you're invested in the series, you'll like all the inclusive quips and times where the characters are reminiscing about their earlier antics. If you know the build up to the relationship, maybe the characters aren't acting like love-sick teenagers and not an adult woman and a would-be King. From my perspective, it just fell flat.
I would have liked it better if there was more focus on the build up to the relationship, more instances of the characters interacting with each other before their first encounter and first sexual encounter so that we could see the drive and the passion in that first act. I just couldn't care enough to really root for the relationship.

This is the third installment into a companion novels series. You do not need to read the first two to read this one. (That's what I personally did as this one was the one that really interested me)
I was super excited to read this novel, I knew going in that this was most probably going to be a cookie cutter type of story, following the mold and including an happily ever after. And it was, I had a wonderful time reading it, it took me out of what could've ended up being a reading slump and made me laugh and smile the whole time.
You follow a dual point of view, one of them is Malory (our main character in this novel, whom is the sister or adoptive sister of Kelsey the lost princess of a kingdom (read the first volume of this series to have her love story)) she is an "All American" type of girl, she loves fundraisers/charity planning and from what we get as explanation from the events of the past two novels, recovering from an attack in which she got shot in the stomach. Our second perspective is the Crown Prince, heir to the throne Christian (Kelsey's brother) who is currently acting as king instead of his father.
The story really pick up when they are alone (sort of) for the first time in a bar, which is a bar for the secret service who protect the royals, and have a game of darts. They have this tangible sexual tension and chemistry, they are equally attracted to one another but do not want to act on it as he has to marry a "noble girl, proper to be queen of the country. To be chosen from a list of candidates approved by the council." and Kelsey who is his younger sister and Malory's younger sister as they were raised as sister for 24 years until she was discovered as the kidnapped lost princess.
I loved the banter in this book, I was captivated from page one, and while it was not a story with mystery or intrigue I had a wonderful time reading it. I was hurting for Malory when she had a fight with Kelsey, mad at the council when their love story was doomed from the start and felt compassion for Christian who did not believe he would get an happily ever after.
This book is a fast read, I read it in one sitting, which is exactly how I like these type of stories to go. While it is nothing life changing, or "never seen before", but it is well made and captivates your attention making you unable to put it down. If you love to read modern royalty romances, with some smut and a whole lot of feelings, this is the book you should read. It will surely put a smile on your face.
Overall a wholesome story 4/5 stars.

I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Tempting the Prince is my first book by Christi Barth, and it definitely won’t be my last. While it doesn’t work as well as a stand-alone as the typical romance, as I felt I was missing some context from the first book about some of the backstory, the character relationships as they pertain to this story are filled in well enough, and I do hope to go back at some point to get the fuller picture of what I missed.
The characters are incredibly charming. I liked the juxtaposition of Mallory and her adoptive sister, Kelsey, experiencing royal life for the first time, along with Mallory’s burgeoning romance with Kelsey’s “blood” brother, Prince Christian. Given the relationships they each share with Kelsey, I kind of wanted the weirdness of it all to be explored, instead of the focus being on how he needed a “proper” wife and she wasn’t seen as good enough. It’s touched on, but I feel like it was brushed aside a bit too quickly.
This is a lighthearted, humorous book, and I appreciate that, while it is a little predictable, it also doesn’t take itself too seriously. If you love modern (fictional) royal romance, then I think you’ll adore this book.

I received this ARC from the publisher and Netgalley for my honest review.
I didn’t realize this was the last book in a series. Even though it’s stated that it can be read as a stand-alone I would strongly advise reading the first two books. I was a bit thrown off by all the characters. That being said I enjoyed and liked all the characters. Mallory and Christian had great chemistry but the love between them was too fast in my opinion. I felt that the plot line of his decision to marry and be the next King dragged on for too long. There were also some inconsistencies in the story that I overlooked. Overall, it was an interesting love story. I’m aware that I’m in the minority with my review.

Christi Barth's Royals series continues with Mallory and Christian's story.
This is the only book of the series that I have read. It was very easy to pick up and not have read the previous stories.
Mallory- adoptive sister and best friend to newly returned Princess of Moncriano, Kelsey. Mallory has put her life on hold in the States in order to help Kelsey with her transition to royal life. Mallory has not had an easy time being in Moncriano. She is happy for her sister but isn’t sure she belongs in the palace and apart of the royal world.
Christian- Kelsey biological brother. Crowned Prince of Moncriano. He is covering his father’s duties as his father has had a hard time processing the return of Kelsey and the attempt on her life. Christian begrudgingly takes on these duties however he is not complete settled in his role as heir.
Tempting the Prince is a very typical Royal/Commoner theme to it. However there was a great issue that was keeping them apart. I love a good commoner and royalty story. This is a very well written and well done example of this trope. Christian and Mallory have a chemistry together. There wasn’t as much angst as I would have liked. I wish Mallory had fought back a little more with Christians plan to date for four weeks. She put a lot on the line with heart to take his tempting offer. Time and storyline movement at times felt rushed. But overall this was a really good read. It was a 4/5 read for me. If you like a royal/commoner trope you should give this one a try.

This was my first read by Christi Barth but by no means my last. I've put the previous books in this series on my TBR to read when I have a chance. It's been awhile since I've read a royal story and grabbed this one without realizing there were several before in the series but I don't feel like I was thrown in the middle of something with no concept of where I was. Mallory was trying to be there for her sister despite also being thrown into a situation for which she was not prepared for but she would do anything for Kelsey. Christian is the Crown Prince currently trying to help his father the King out. These two have chemistry you can virtually feel coming off the pages but there is absolutely no way they could ever be together. Christian must marry a royal and have an heir. Mallory is a commoner. Lots of fun with their bets and some emotional turmoil both within and without the royal family. Very enjoyable read.
