The magic of Fall with Luke and Lottie when they discover in the leaves a hedge hog. The illustrations remind me of the fall colors and warm cocoa. A book of discovery that every child will oh and ah.

Luke & Lottie - Fall Is Here is an exuberant children's book in the Luke & Lottie series; this time with a fall theme. Originally published in Dutch in 2016, this English translation from Clavis is due out 29th Sept 2020. It's 24 pages and will be available in hardcover format.

The art is whimsical and appealing (see cover), and the text is simple and easy to read. It's written in free verse in short sentences which will allow smaller children to follow along with the reading and allow older kids to practice reading on their own. The text flows very well and it doesn't read as if it's been translated.

This would make a super choice for classroom/public library, home library, or gift. Really cute and I liked that Luke and Lottie have natural curiosity, and are eager to learn and explore their environments.

The author and publisher have included a note at the beginning of the book that hedgehogs (part of the story) aren't native to North America. This will give an opportunity for further learning by searching for and learning about hedgehogs and other creatures' natural habitats and ranges.

Luke and Lottie, these two cute kids are enjoying the wonders and beauty of Fall or Autumn. They had fun gathering nuts, playing with the fallen leaves, and helping out a friend in need. A cute fun read with the vibrant fall colors and quirky characters.

this is a nice story for young listeners. It is a perfect book for fall. It teaches kids about the season, along with information about hedgehogs.

Oh to be a child again! It’s good to have books like this around so parents don’t forget what’s it is like to see the world anew. Unfortunately, this book seems to switch from one thought to another, from one page to the next. Was dumbfounded when I came to the last page to find that was it! Nothing really summarized the book up. Was incomplete. The graphics are very vivid and entertaining to a child.

This is a read aloud for a young audience.  Luke and Lottie go outdoors to enjoy some fall fun.  Most exciting for them is finding a hedgehog whom they help to get ready to hibernate. 


The illustrations are very cut and go well with the simple text.  This book is a nice introduction to the season.

Luke and Lottie play in fallen autumn leaves, find creatures around their yard, and learn about hibernation in this cute book. My daughter loved the bright colors of the leaves and the hedgehog. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting to teach children about fall.

Fall is Here! This adventure with Luke & Lottie is fun and exciting for young readers. Ruth Wielockx tells a charming story with room for discussions and learning. The book is beautifully illustrated as well.

It does what it's supposed to does and comes out better than what I had expected.

This storybook shows two kids enjoying autumn.
The illustration is just amazing giving all the perfect autumn vibes. The colours are just perfect. The artstyle is yummy!

And the kids look so cute and soft 😍

It also teaches how to be kind to animals.
It shows how to enjoy and welcome the season.
It also shows how to enjoy the rain (I am here for this!).

All the cosy autumn feels!

It's a cute and simple story with beautiful illustrations. It's good for storytelling time. It doesn't make much impact for me but I think, kids with ages 7 and below can appreciate it.

Who wouldn't love a story about a beautiful fall day, two adorable children, and a hedgehog? Luke and Lottie learn a valuable lesson about responsibility with this fun story. Readers will enjoy learning about hedgehogs, which are animals that don't appear enough in children's literature. Festive and fun!
