Hollywood Flirt by Alexa Aston a five-star read that will leave you with no Regrets. This is number two in the Hollywood name Game series, they can all be read as stand-alone, but I have loved the series so far. This was just sublime if you have not read the first novel it doesn’t matter as you wont get lost as the characters from the first pop up, but they could be anyone all of the secondary characters are just so well done, I loved that about the first and adore it even more in this one. If you have read the first, its just like little Easter eggs popping up, private jokes that make you smile, and enhance the story but not missed if you haven’t, it’s the best true stand-alone series that I have read for along time. Dash DeLauria is just a surprise, you picture him one way on the surface and as you get to know him you see how warm and strong, he is and how perfect he is for Sydney, it may take her some time to realise but that’s her story to tell and one you need to pick this story up to find out. I can promise you that if you pick this series up you will be left with absolutely No Regrets. Now bring on number three as I could use more comedy in my life even if it’s only a small part!!

This is a pretty new author for me and this is book 2 in the series. I did read book 1 and it was good but it had issues. This book was so much better than book one. I loved Dash so much and I adored Sydney. I loved the minor characters as well.
This story introduced two new characters in Hollywood, Sydney Revere who dumped Hollywood ten years before and is now running back home to her father, a movie producer. Dash is an actor, with a lot of talent but who wants in on a movie written by the female lead in the first book, Maggie. We get to see alot of Maggie and Rhett from the first book, which was awesome and I loved how they befriend Dash and Sydney.
This story was fun, had great characters, no other involvements with exes and had a great plot and lots of suspense as Sydney's crazy ex husband is after her.

I received this book from book sprout as a honest review .

DNF at 27%.
The blurb sounded intriguing (okay the cover didn't hurt either) for this but over a quarter of the way in and I already find both main characters boring.
Sydney Revere is the daughter of a big Hollywood producer and an actress dubbed the most beautiful woman in the world. After her mother died of cancer when Sydney was only nine and her brother committed suicide just a year later, Sydney became a bit of a Wild Child until she married a contemporary of her father's in a Vegas wedding. Sadly he died just four months later in a car crash. Sydney then reinvented herself, changed her name, died her hair, went to college, qualified as a lawyer and married a fellow lawyer and New York blue blood. When she finds out her husband has been cheating on her Sydney moves to Boston but soon realises that she's done hiding in the shadows and decides to return to Hollywood and her old appearance.
Dash DeLauria is an up-and-coming actor who wants to break into the big time, and how better than working for the great Monty Revere in his latest new film. A love 'em and leave 'em guy Dash is instantly attracted to Sydney and feels a deeper connection than just a one-night stand. Also, Dash is responsible for caring for his brother Herc who has the mentality of a five year old child.
Years ago I had a YA/NA checklist of irritating traits that characters in nearly every book seemed to have, I know one of them was stupid names, another was having more money than god, being an orphan/having a parent die from cancer/growing up in a home was another. You get the picture. Well this book just fell into the same rinse and repeat formula for me, I didn't warm to either Dash or Sydney, they were both too beautiful, too perfect, too plastic.
Maybe I'm just in a book slump but this didn't work for me and when I could see the first kiss turning into something else I bailed. I could see there was a plot involving the ex-husband stalking Sydney but honestly I didn't care.
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This is book 2 in the series, I have not yet read book one, but it is now on my TBR list! Hollywood Flirt is the first book I have read by this author and I will be reading more. This book hooked me in quick and took me for a ride. Sidney and Dash, what the public sees the stereotypical Hollywood glitterati, Her Hollywood royalty, him Hollywood bad boy, maybe it is earned. While the sub-genre of Hollywood can be predictable, this story was not. Behind the scenes, they are complex characters with real-life complications, exes. We get more of a movie production with a love story on the side, plus some suspense, a refreshing change.
Thank you to NetGalley and the Author for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I don't think I can express how much I loved reading, Hollywood Flirt. It was as if I was actually watching the movie play out in front of me and then for an extra bonus it's a movie inside a movie.

Hollywood Heartbreaker is the first book in the new series Hollywood Name Game by Alexa Ashton. It was an interesting book and had a great storyline. The characters were amazing and realistic. Rhett Corrigan was a famous movie star but was tired of the same old thing. He wanted to try something new, but his agent kept putting him off. His life had become boring until Cassie ran into his car! Cassie Carroll had moved to Hollywood with big dreams, but now she just wanted a job that pays better. Her day goes from bad to worse when she hits a car, causing both cars to explode. It gets even worse when she realizes it is Rhett Corrigan’s car. Rhett hiring her to be his assistant is a dream job for her and falling for him was not the plan. I enjoyed reading the book and seeing Rhett and Cassie’s life and careers grow as they finally realize their dreams. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
