OMG! This book was everything I'd hoped going into the end of this series/trilogy. I will admit to being slightly anxious/worried about things (especially Leif), after the ending that was Kings Falling. There were also some personal things going on that were effecting my ability/want to go through and read things. But then I saw a comment Ronie Kendig made regarding writing a fallen hero (http://roniekendig.com/scavenger-hunt-stop-12/) and somehow, I just knew things were going to turn out mostly alright. I did find myself the slightest bit frustrated at how easily the team even thought about considering Leif might turn traitor. Granted, they almost immediately dismissed it, but even the momentary doubt bothered me slightly. I was glad that the team welcomed him back with the familial relationships they'd had, even though they were still admitting they'd been hurt by what happened. I did like Cell's thing when they were on the Seneca, it felt like, while he was still mad about what had happened, he'd still started to forgive Leif. And was wanting to give him a reason to come back. I did like Iskra's pointing out that if he had meant to turn on them, things would have been a lot worse. I did feel bad about the momentary lapse she had when she got the satchel, but at least she acknowledged that she'd made a mistake. And she was able to use it to kind of start a conversation with Leif. I didn't quite understand how she ended up at leaving Taissia with Bogdashka just because Dani was going out of town. I'm sure that whoever was taking care of Dani and Canyon's kids would have been able to take Taissia no problem. I will admit to being slightly surprised at Dru. I'd figured he'd known a lot more about what was going on, but there were clearly reasons he was having to take all the back roads to figure out what was going on. I was a little surprised at Braun, although I had suspicions. It was surprising to see how far/deep Veratti and ArC had managed to infiltrate. I did find myself wanting to know if the others like Mercy, Alisz and Iskra were able to get free. Same for any other Gen2s or the Neiothiens. That epilogue was so beautiful. It was nice to see people getting slices of happiness and futures that seem to be growing by the second. |
Ronie Kendig has promised to deliver a thrill ride through the world with the final book in her latest series Soul Raging. I have loved falling these characters around as they hunt for justice and a little bit of romance. While I mention romance, it was definitely not the main thread, thankfully, the hunt for Leif and bringing him and other players to justice lead the hunt. Kendig does a wonderful job at packing so much action and movement in a novel that I always have a hard time putting them down. I love getting to know each character and watching them as they change and grow from novel to novel. Each character arc features moments of transformation as they progress through the story. Kendig does a wonderful job at world building too that I never have to guess where I am and where the story takes place. She allows readers to experience and see the world just enough to allow readers to see the characters in their given world. While the novel can be categorized as a Christian fiction novel, I highly believe, even fans of secular novels should pick up this series. The Biblical themes are not overarching. Just like in the Indiana Jones movies. They deepen the characters and allow them to shine on the page. I highly recommend every novel that Kendig has penned and can't wait to see what else she crafts for her fans. I received a complimentary copy of Soul Raging by Ronie Kendig from Bethany House Publishers, but the opinions stated are all my own. |

Wow! This series is one roller coaster ride from start to finish! Right when you think you might figure out what is going to happen, something totally different happens-something that you totally did not expect! Like it wasn’t even in the realm of possibilities! As is usual with Ronie Kendig, this story made my heart race, I laughed, I cried, and during one scene, I literally felt the claustrophobia! I basically loved everything about this story - the team banter, the nonstop action, the characters- is it weird to miss fictional characters?- and I loved Leif and his relationship with Iskra. My out loud thought as I read the last word of this story was, “No! I want more!” I could really just see this series going on and on! Ronie Kendig is brilliant. I’m seriously sad that this series is over! If you haven’t read any of her stories yet, I urge you to give her a try. You will not regret it! I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own. |

I have loved Ronnie Kendig’s books from the get go. She writes with great detail and historical input making you feel as though you are right in on the action feeling the ups and downs yet always hopeful. This is the end of this trilogy. You won’t be disappointed. Can’t’ wait for her next one to begin |
Wow. This is the book that brings it all together. This book had my heart racing and reading so fast, and at the same time I found myself stalling to finish it, because I didn't want it to end. And this book is a perfect example of why I read Kendig's books. She brings something completely unique to the suspense genre. She has action, and heart, fast paced and complex plots intertwined. Heroes that go to battle while fighting their own inner war. Heroines that are strong, unique, and unforgettable. I love her warriors! This series is epic. It is everything I look for in a militarily suspense read. It's intense, with that gritty edge that had me wondering just how it was going to end! She really had me guessing! I really loved how the characters grew when pushed to the limits. I loved how the author brought it all to a climax and left me completely satisfied at the end. |

This is the final in a three trilogy book series. I found it fitting end to an action packed set of stories. Along the way, there were a few plot twists and you could never be 100% sure who were the good guys and whom were the bad ones. I got this free in exchange for an honest review. I highly recommend reading the previous books in the series before reading this one. It is one of those books that you need to read the previous books so that you understand the complex arc of the book. I really enjoyed all of the books, so I don't consider this a hardship at all! If you enjoy action, romance and mystery - this book has all of that and more. It's definitely worth a read! |
You will not be disappointed that you read this book! It’s the last of a three part series and it had me captured and engulfed from the first book. As a group of elite operatives travel the world fighting an unknown power that wants to take over the economic currency of the world, you will learn to route for and cheer on each character. Lief is the main character on which the prophecies are made but each character was deeply developed by the author. Twists and turns and surprises await you in this book! I was given a copy in exchange for my review but I would have bought my own! |

SOUL RAGING by RONIE KENDIG will take you on a roller coaster ride of tension and suspense and forms a good end to the series. I suggest that the books be read in sequence in order to understand the overall plot fully. It is an exciting book with a lot going on and it is good to see how the various characters, both good and bad, end up. I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Bethany House Publishers. The opinions in this review are completely my own. |
Wow, "Soul Raging" was a fast paced, crazy twists and turns of an ending to the Book of Wars series. With several of the plot turns that I didn't see coming this was a sad story with a hopeful ending. |
