Love just happens. It just blooms. Then it's yours to give. And you give it. The end.

This series has the classic KA feel to it that I really enjoy. Full of drama, action, and humor. Truthfully I almost always enjoy every KA book I pick up. They feel like being wrapped up in a fuzzy comfy blanket. With this one I really enjoyed Ryn, I felt I could relate to her a lot and I admired her strength even when faced with some really shitty situations.
I wasn't Boone's biggest fan going into this, but he worked at it and slowly won me over. Both him and Ryn are hotheads that had a habit of going off half cocked on each other and other people. Normally not my cup of tea, but I found it really refreshing that through out the book they were acknowledging their issues and actually working together to work on them. It made their relationship feel that much more real and solid to me.

I'm not feeling you taking any shit first thing on a Monday morning. In fact, after the last few days you've had, I'm not feeling you taking any shit at all this week. Honest to fuck, pretty down with saying, if I have anything to do with it, you now live in a shit-free zone.

My only issue with this one was the 'suspense' or 'action' part of the storyline. I totally get that it is going to be an on going storyline through out the series but it felt pretty thin in this one. Like it was just sort of tacked on. Hoping the next one has a bit more. Can't wait for Axl and Hattie's story!

Recommend this series to anyone who is a KA fan, and to anyone who might be just discovering her for the first time *lucky*

The author is a must read for me. Everything about her books is just wonderful. Her heroes are always amazing but I really loved Boone. Keeping up with the other cast of characters was a bit much but it was nice to see familiar faces. The balance of angst and sweetness is just perfect. This book is perfectly sweet and sexy.

Reading a new Kristen Ashley book is like finding a Christmas present in July. It is always a treasured treat. There is just something so special about this author and the way that she crafts her story and characters that are unlike anyone else out there. It is part of the reason that in a world of acronyms that just saying KA and people automatically know what the letters stand for.

I am loving this new series of interconnected standalones. There is an underlying story that seems to be intermixed and leaves a little bit of a mystery to be carried over into the next book. I am not sure how she manages to do this considering that the story is finished but not finished at the same time. In this case, the "bad guy" from Evie and Mag's story is in this one too, however, he isn't a bad guy, just his actions haven't always been conducive to being a standup guy. I actually really hope that he gets his own story because there is something special about this character. He fits in with the typical OTT KA man and I dig that.

I was expecting this to be more BDSM focused since the sneak peek from the previous book talked about Boone being a Dom and Ryn being a sub. However, I really didn't find that to be the case in this story. Boone reminded me of every other KA hero with his OTT possessive, dominating characteristics while also being caring and attentive. He liked being in control like all of the other guys. I am not saying that as a bad thing because trust me it wasn't. I just was expecting that it would take the direction of the Honey trilogy and that was not the case at all. I thoroughly enjoyed Boone and how he was with Ryn. Ryn was a solid female character. I did have a few issues with her but that had more to do with the backstory of her niece and nephew. I had a hard time wrapping my head around how far the author went in making a point with her niece and that entire situation. However, I did like that there was a change in regard to a certain situation with one of the parents of her niece and nephew.

I can never recommend enough how amazing this author is. Granted, I really won't have to since just her initials alone show how huge her following is, and with good reason. This book is just another example of that. There were hints of what and who is to come next and I look forward to that. Another hit for this author.

This is the second book to the Dream Team Series, and it is a beautifully written book with lots of emotions and love. Not just love from the opposite sex, but this also includes friendship (your girl friends having your back and the men too) and most of all love of family.

I read this in one sitting, and I must admit that I couldn’t stop reading it. Kristen Ashley has this writing style that as a reader you would be able to relate to and feel all the words can cut through the heart and leave a piece in there. The only reason why I deducted a star is because, there are so many characters mentioned in this book that I don’t remember who is who. I might have to read the previous books in the Rock Chick, Chaos and The Unfinished Heroes Series. I wish there were more hot scenes, banters, and interaction between the two main characters. All in all it was very good and quite happy with how the story turned out. I can’t wait to read this in paperback version and also Hattie and Axl’s story.

Another classic from Kristen Ashley ~ alpha male, strong female, good friends, a bit of drama, steamy sex scenes and a HEA.

In this book we meet Boone and Ryn. They both have their issues. For Ryn it's her family drama and for Boone it's some PTSD (both are addressed in the book). Dream Team books, in my opinion, can be read as stand alone but there is a running minor storyline that will make better sense if you start with Dream Maker and read through. This storyline helps to be the suspense and helps to solidify Boone and Ryn.

Without giving you the plot and ruining it for you... this book and this series is <bCLASSIC</b> Kristen Ashley that all her fans will love and adore. The Dream Team is similar to the Rock Chicks series but slightly less crazy. You won't be disappointed. Bonne and Ryn had my swooning throughout the book. Enjoy ~ 5 Stars!

Love, Mystery, and Family Drama….what could possibly go wrong? I don’t know about you guys, but that is the perfect recipe for a KA read. Dream Chaser was a fabulous read and takes readers on one heck of a ride…

When it comes to her niece and nephew, there isn’t anything Ryn won’t do. She’s hardworking and has a heart of gold. To some, her life could be considered chaotic, and the last thing she’s looking for is Boone. Boone loves the challenge that Ryn presents and will do anything to show Ryn how good they could be together. But being with Ryn is anything but simple….

Dream Chaser is the kind of fun read that you expect from KA. Ryn and Boone are a couple you can easily connect with and find yourself rooting for. I loved all the drama, chaos, romance, and cameos in between. In true KA fashion, Boone and Ryn’s story had me glued to the pages and devouring all the words.

Dream Chaser is a great addition to the Dream Team Series. The characters were a lot of fun and there certainly was never a dull moment!! I enjoyed getting swept up in Boone & Ryn’s story and I look forward to seeing where this series will take us next!

Its been too long since I visited Kristen Ashley's world. I read the Rock Chick series and drifted away - this book reminded me of why I loved that series so much (the novella about Daisy and Marcus remains one of my all time favorite books)! I will say - this isn't the place to start in Kristen Ashley's world. You totally could - but the character list is so long at this point you might find your head spinning trying to keep up! Kathryn (Ryn) Jensen is a dancer at Smithie's and good friends with all the girls there - she has a dream of flipping houses instead of dancing, but keeps giving all of her extra cash to her brother's ex to help support their children. She's been extremely attracted to Boone Sadler, Lottie's fiance's co-worker and friend, but hasn't acted on it because of her past history of loss. Ryn is also a submissive and has had some very bad experiences there. She keeps going and moving forward, but she isn't making progress towards her dreams.

Boone is,. like basically all Kristen Ashley heroes, a serious alpha male. He works for Hawk Delgado and doesn't always operate inside the bounds of the law. He is a Dom and has some serious baggage. He and Ryn have been circling each other - but can't seem to bridge the distance between them - until Boone discovers just how much Ryn's brother's ex is taking advantage of her and Ryn's life is put in danger by associating with a dangerous guy.

One of the things I like best about Kristen Ashley books is the realness of her characters. They aren't perfect or even close. They have serious issues and learn from their mistakes. They also inhabit an interconnected world that is so real you feel like you could get on a plane to Denver and maybe run into one of them on the street. Ryn and Boone are fun and very sexy together. I am excited to see where this series goes and now am probably about due to go down the rabbit hole into other books I've missed along the way.

If you love Kristen Ashley and the Rock Chicks - this is a must read for you.

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

While Kathryn “Ryn” Jansen enjoys her job working at Smithie's strip club, what she really dreams of is a future in flipping houses. Unfortunately, Ryn is nothing if not used to putting her own dreams on hold to help the people she loves when they need her most. But everything is about to change when the sexy commando (that she absolutely DOES NOT want to date!) Boone Sadler provides Ryn some hard truths about the people in her life taking advantage of her big heart.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dream Chaser was a story that was equal parts sexy and sweet in the delightful Dream Team series. Ryn and Boone having been skirting around anything that involves a relationship between them for awhile, but when things start to heat up for Ryn in her personal life, Boone is the first one there to offer his assistance, a shoulder to lean on... and just about everything else she has always wanted in a partner...
Ryn is a stripper who has a great group of friends at her back in the aptly named "dream team." She also does everything she can for her niece and nephew and their mother who struggles with taking care of them. Basically, she is always helping others, frequently to the detriment of her own goals. But when Ryn's eyes are opened to the truth of her family situation, and a whole host of other drama thrown her way, she agrees to accept the assistance of the very sexy, and very dangerous to the state of her heart, Boone Sadler.
Boone is one of Hawk's commandoes, a direct and observant man, and also the Dom that Ryn has always been looking for. With the beginning of their relationship starting out rough, it takes Boone some time to get to the place he has always wanted to be with Ryn... by her side.
I almost always enjoy a KA book, and Dream Chaser delivered with another good read, but I felt like there was some missing substance that kept me from truly loving this story.
I really liked the D/s aspects to Boone and Ryn's relationship... but ended up feeling bereft with the glossed over sex scenes that barely supported this big character detail. Crossovers from all of the various Denver-centric series from KA are always a treat... expect for when they're so overdone you feel like you see a cameo from EVERYONE who has basically ever set foot in the city. For me there just were too many added scenes with a frivolous amount of characters, and not enough plot to engage them all. And then my final big issue was... I didn't really love Boone. I mean, I love a good alpha.. but the only vibes I got from him were more of a bossy jerk than an attentive Dom.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Kristen Ashley is my queen, and I am one of her loyal rock chicks. I will always be a fan, no matter what I read or how I feel about it. As such, it pains me deeply to say that this book just did not do it for me. I did not enjoy the first book in this series, the Dream Team series, either so it may be that it is just this series. I have loved almost all of her other books. She has written so many fantastic book series, and I have loved them, including Dream Man, Colorado Mountain, Rock Chick, Unfinished Hero, Chaos, and my favorite, The Burg. Joe Callahan will always be it for me. I think this qualifies me as a Kristen Ashley expert.
I can’t put my finger on what I didn’t like about Dream Chaser, but it didn’t have that oomph for me that I loved in her earlier books. I couldn’t connect with the story or the characters. Her male protagonist was the typical KA alpha who takes immediate charge of the female’s life. I didn’t dislike him, but I didn’t love him either. You can see I’m truly struggling with this situation. I’m going to blame Covid19 for this since my mind couldn’t stay with the story. I gave the book 2 ½ stars rounded up to three because I will always love KA. I thank NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.
As a devoted Rock Chick fan I couldn’t wait for this series to continue. The Dream Team is just as hot and alpha as the Wild Bunch.
“When you’re not being bossy, invasive and sticking your nose into things that aren’t your business, you seem pretty awesome.”
Ryn and Boone are scorching hot. The whole Dom Sub thing is not my cup of tea but it wasn’t to overdone as to ruin the storyline for me.
“Part of what I get off on is that. I can take you out, and you’re gorgeous, and men are gonna look at you, and want you, but you’re mine.
There is some intrigue going on that put Ryn in danger. So many past favorites show up. Just like old times. I’m was so glad to be back in K.A.’s world for this amazing adventure.
As Hurricane Zeta was barreling down the Gulf to eventually knock out power, you know what I was concerned with? Does my i-Pad have enough juice to get me through it because I've just started Dream Chaser and there is NO WAY I can stop reading. So what did I do? I charged my i-pad, forgot to charge my phone, and found myself absolutely content without the normal conveniences of life because Ryn and Boone had my complete and full attention.
I knew from reading Dream Maker that all of the couples in this series would be absolutely fun to read and so far, they are. Ryn and Boone had the trademark Kristen Ashley hilarity, fashion, and banter that I've come to know and love. Between Ryn's insane family situation and Boone's ability to see her through it, some nutty run ins with Cisco, appearances by all of the favorite Kristen Ashley characters, and the on-going drama with a situation that was first discovered in Dream Maker not a one of us stands a chance at resisting this series.
I love all of the things that Kristen Ashley's characters stand for--goodness, kindness, and warmth. I love how she tests them with various obstacles and painful experiences and even when they aren't perfect, their flaws are what make us understand them, root for them, and can't wait to see them succeed. They may be prettier or smarter or funnier than us, but somehow we see a little of them in us or a little of us in them and I think it's that humanity and hope to be as good as her characters are that will always keep me coming back for more.
Great read and I absolutely am dying for Pepper and Hattie's books!
I'm so happy that this spinoff is living up to everything I loved about the Rock Chick Series. Not only do we get the perfect spinoff, but we also get to see all the old crews from the Rock chicks and their hot bunch, to the Chaos crew and even mentions of Knight.
I'm a big fan of the group of girls that have your back, and the group of guys that will go all in to help protect. It makes for any drama that happens well worth it when you see all of them group together when one is in trouble. Plus there is always some form of funny antics going on with the woman.
I was a big fan of Ryn right from the start. I won't lie and say I wasn't worried about her and Boone when she turned him down in book one, but what that inevitably showed us was a woman who expected more and relayed that in one of the best ways I've seen in a book. I won't say much more than that so you can experience it for yourself.
Ryn was just an all around likable heroine even if she had some baggage with her family. I respected her and I like how she communicated with Boone. Boone had a bit of a rough start with me but quickly turned that around. He has just as much baggage as Ryn has and like I mentioned above, it was that rough start that showed why Ryn initially turned him down and what she expected. It was so worth it.
I loved it and I want more!
Words cannot describe how much I loved Ryn and Boone! They were both, just so, flawed, but in ways that made them vulnerable, not hard. Ryn made me cry, she made me chortle, yes chortle, she made me want to be there just to hold her hand. So much strength, so aware, yet unaware, and such a hair-trigger reactor, yeah, I got Ryn. Boone, so clueless to women, really. He made some pretty rookie errors, but I guess growing up with only brothers contributed to his lack of woman awareness. Of course, once he was in, he was all in. And when he messed up, he did it pretty good, but his grovel was on point as well. This relationship struggled to get started, but once it did, these two’s attempt at taking it slow was laughable. One big problem, but then really, the story was all about these two. They were hot together, super duper, cant look away, squirming on your seat hot. They got each other on some very simple, yet important, levels. They connected, they grew together, they fell in love, and as much as Ryn thinks Boone is her hero, I’m sure he feels that about her as well
Bonus, besides our Dream Team girls and Hawk’s commandoes, we get all sorts of side characters in the story from other KA books. Hawk has some pretty good page time *swoon* and at just the mention of Knight (no appearance) my heart rate ticked up. Tack is there, being all mentoring and sweet, in his way, and other guys from Chaos are around a lot. Hank and Eddie are pivotal, and of course, the Rock Chicks have to be in a scene. And the mystery, the problem, it still isn’t solved, With Axl and Hattie up next, I think I’m going to need to invest in more tissues, because the glimpse we got, that ones going to be an emotional one
Can I talk about how much I love Kristen Ashley? This new series is a spinoff of a previous series. This book is about Boone and Ryn. I loved the development of their relationship They were a great couple. The overarching mystery of the book is intriguing. I have not read the first book in this series but I will read to fix that ASAP. I will continue with this series.
This was my second attempt to read a Kristin Ashley novel. I hear so many people recommend her books, but, alas, her wiring style and I don’t go together. This books says it’s a stand alone but I definitely felt like I needed some major back story to understand the dynamic between the lead female (Ryn) and her romantic interest (Boone). Right from the start it seemed the two had some kind of ‘history’ together, They didn’t really have much chemistry and mostly Boone barked at Ryn. The whole plot was bizarre and hard to follow. For fans of Kristen Ashley, this book was very similar to the previous book of hers I attempted, So if you like her style, you will probably like this one. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.
Ryn Jansen is attracted to commando Boone Sadler but does not have the time or willing to take the risk on him. She makes good money stripping and her dream is to flip houses but with an alcoholic brother and his ex-girlfriend/baby mama who fall down on taking care of their two children, she has no extra money from helping them out. But when Ryn ends up neck deep in a conspiracy, Boone and the commandos step up to protect her and figure out exactly what is going on. But will Ryn give Boone a chance and finally say yes to going out on a date? And will they be able to trust each other and turn their relationship into more while protecting Ryn from dirty cops?
Kristen Ashley did it again! Fans of the Rock Chick, Dream Man, and Chaos series will love this second book in the Dream Team series. Not only do we hear Ryn and Boone's amazing story but it is also riddled with KA's previous characters that we love. This book is a roller coaster of emotions and keeps you hooked from start to finish. I cannot wait for more in the series!
This book was given to me an an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley in an exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.
The Dream Team series by Kristen Ashley brings me back to the days of her series which was my first foray with this talent author.
Kristen Ashley has a voice all her own. I’d pretty much binge read all her books once I’d started them several years ago. Her writing style is unique and once you get used to it, and the lingo of her bada$$ characters, you are sucked in completely. I forgot what it’s like but man, it was like coming home after being gone for a while.
I’ll admit to not reading the first 2 books in the series but I’ll amend that right quick. Her characters all revolve around each other and though each book is a stand-alone, I’d always found I prefer reading her stuff in order. Not required, just feels more familiar that way.
Here we get to experience the story of Boone (what a unique, yet typical KA bada$$ hero name) and Kathryn (aka Ryn). Commando hunka man wants relationship-shy gorgeous stripper and he’s gonna get her, even if she makes him work for it. Throw in some bad guys, more hot good-guy commandos, and reunite with even MORE commandos from the past, and we’ve got ourselves a sexy yet kind of suspenseful KA story.
Boone is all kinds of hot Dom and he’s drawn to the clearly sub feelers he’s getting from our Ryn. She’s tough, independent and loyal to her deadbeat brother and sister in law, but deep down he can feel the submissive side under all those layers of protection she’s built up around her.
This isn’t a BDSM riddled story, more typical KA alpha hero that takes it a little farther than vanilla in his D/s sexual preferences.
I’ve missed Kristen Ashley and I’m happy to be back! Now to catch up with Lottie’s and Evie’s books!
I LOVED this book! This is my favorite in the series so far. It has all the great story lines in one phenomenal story; love, mystery and family drama. Throw in some smoking hotness, fun characters and intense plots and you’ve got a classic Kristen Ashley book! As usual, this author creates female leads that are tough, independent women who throw out snark like its confetti. Yet, they all have an inner soft core that’s highly compassionate. They’re encountering hardships that only the perfect alpha man can combat, alongside his spit fire gal, that is.
Cue Boone and Ryn! Great multi-layered characters! Ryn’s the woman of steel carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders as she cares for all of her family members. And Boone, swoon!!! He’s perfect for her! Then there is Ryn’s niece and nephew…OMG I was in tears! Kristen Ashley definitely put me through the emotional wringer with this one.
It was hilarious how the Rock Chick bet was mentioned in this story and I can’t wait to see if it will carry on in the next installment. I also enjoyed seeing beloved characters! This book has the previous characters appearing in a more organic way that flowed so well! And the Madonna costume idea was awesome!
Although I didn’t want the story to end, it could not have had a more perfect ending!
I am intrigued with the new character, Dorian, that was introduced. Hmm. I am hoping there is a story in the works for him! My heart is already hurting for Hattie! I am eagerly waiting for her story, and so glad Axel is waiting in the wings for her.
Dream Chaser is an entertaining read I highly recommend!
Welcome back to The Dream Team! Here we go, guys. Dream Chaser is a gift wrapped up in a sexy bow from the fabulous Kristen Ashley. Boone Sadler knows what he wants and he's gonna go out of his way to help the object of his desire out.
Ryn is burning the candle at both ends and when Boone decides to stick his nose in her business she freaks. Of course, she would, the nerve! What happens next is a story of finding out what means the most to you in life. Sometimes that means letting others figure their own stuff out and rid yourself of toxic relationships. It can be hard when family is involved.
On the fringes of Ryn's personal issues, there is a hot bunch and a host of MC's lending a helping hand. Throw in some sexy ladies from Smithie's Club, a few Rock Chicks, and we have the Ultimate KA read!
It's love, learning, and some sexy times that dominate the feel of Dream Chaser. Releasing December 15th, it's the perfect gift for the Rock Chick in your life.
After reading 'Dream Maker' earlier this year, I was more than ready to get back to the Dream Team series. I was especially intrigued by Ryn and Boone so when I heard their story was next, I was even more excited. I enjoyed this one even more than the first. It feels like KA has gone back to her roots with these books and it's amazing to get cameos from so many of her previous series.
Ryn's life is a little complicated right now, so love is the last thing she's looking for. Especially from a man like Boone Sandler. She's got her work at Smithies, attempting to flip a house she bought, and basically raising her niece and nephew because their parents aren't doing the work. Boone, however, is exactly what she needs. They're compatible in all the ways and when she lets him, he becomes a true partner for her.
Ryn was an incredible heroine. I loved how strong, loyal, and kindhearted she was. She seems tough on the outside, but she's got all kinds of soft spots on the inside. Especially for her niece and nephew. I adored those kids. Boone was exactly the man that Ryn needed. She needed someone who was in control in some aspects of their life, but let her take charge some in others. I thought their dynamic was great and I loved them together. Their parents were both great as well. I loved the scenes with Boone's parents and Ryn's mom.
One of my favorite things about this book was all the Chaos in it! That is one of the very best KA series IMO, and I loved watching all the guys interact with Ryn and just be present in the book. It made me so happy. We also got a lot of dream man and rock chick cameos, which is always great.
Boone and Ryn's story was another great addition to this series. It was so much fun to read, made me smile and laugh, but also had some emotion and angst to it. Overall, it was a really good time and I enjoyed the heck out of it. I can't wait to get more from this series!
