Lamona Ash the author takes us along on her unique adventure. She moves to a small Cornish village determined to be a hand on a trawler even though this is a men only job.She immersed herself in this small tight knit town. She does manage to sail on trawlers.
This is a debut memoir by a magically talented author. Her writing her words are so involving .I love how she shared books she was reading during this adventure and thanks to her I will be rereading Cannery Row.
I predict this will be a best seller and will be recommending Dark Salt Clear and looking forward to her next adventure.I love when I discover an author with a very special talent Lamona Ash is one.#netgalley#bloomsbury

Ash travels to a small Cornish village, determined to become a hand on a fishing trawler, something the locals say will never happen. None of them want a female onboard. Against all odds, she lands a job on a trawler. This is her story of trying to fir in with her shipmates and the villagers when she’s on shore, all as she tries to learn the intricate and complicates history of a region steeped in legend. I am in absolute awe of Lamorna Ash, her courage and willingness to throw caution to the wind is incredible. This is an amazing book, bound for the NY Times bestseller list
