An excellent insight into orphans and oraphanages. Lots of lovely, and not so lovely characters. I loved how they rebranded to become a children's home. Such a lovely couple taking in as many unwanted children. Sad to hear that children used to be sold when they were unwanted too. Brought a tear to my eyes.

Highly recommended if you like historical fiction

The title of the book describes it beautifully. Minnie has a growing fold of orphans which includes her own children. The love and understanding shown throughout the book is lovely. I couldn’t put it down, that is until I was near the end then wanted to delay the finish. Loved it, worth all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would recommend you read it.

I enjoyed reading this book because it had an interesting story line which kept me wanting to know what happens to the children. I learned a lot about the workhouse children and there terrible life. Luckily all places were not horrendous and this was a book that showed love, compassion and hope. I do recommend that you read this book.

Gentle Minnie had a heart of gold taking in all the orphans and looking after them all.
Then we have The Reed house run by Una Reed, she was trouble and run her childrens home like a workhouse. things are going to turn nasty between these two women as we read.
this is one amazing book to read, brought from the black country. I love this authors style of writing, its a delightful story, with so many hardships entails of the children's past lives some grown into adults. its a unputdownable book in a lot of ways that will bring you tears. and I loved every bit of it.
