This was an interesting read and I enjoyed the ghost story blended with the love story. The characters are well-developed and I appreciated their growth as the story progressed. It is spicy and the chemistry is off the charts so be prepared to read it all at once!

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

This was probably a case of not being in the right frame of mind when this was given to me. Also, I read the first book in the series but not the second. Maybe this is why I didn't love it as much as I usually do.

While the erotica was up to her usual par, the story didn't impact me that well. The aspect of them being cousins also didn't bode well for the sex scenes for me. Everyone has certain fetishes that don't sit right, I think this is mine. But for someone looking for an escape while not overthinking the story, this might be for you.

No one writes erotica like Tiffany Reisz.
This book was everything I wanted and more. I was glued to every page, not wanting to put it down. This story has had me captivated from the first page and had my rapt attention all the way to the end.
This story is so much more than 5 stars.

Hello

Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title. While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.

I look forward to continuing to work with you in 2023 and beyond.

Call me Pavlov's Dog or another psychological term to describe my undying adoration for Tiffany Reisz, but when a girl gets a newsletter that one of her favorite authors is releasing another novel, said girl also opens up her wallet with wild abandon in order to frantically type in her CC info. It's me.

There are few things I'm actually looking forward to when the nice, blustery summer nights segue into terrifying winter evenings starting at 4:30 p.m., but cozying up in my bed with The Pearl is a treat.

To sum it up: It was like drinking a warm sherry before bed. Lord Arthur Godwick is the responsible brother who offers to pay off his brother’s debts in the bed of the owner of The Pearl Hotel, Regan. Ten days of servitude, and in return, Regan will give Arthur a prized piece of Godwick art.

One of my favorite aspects of Reisz’s writing is how her worldbuilding can be so intimate so quickly. She oscillates between lighthearted laughter and crackling emotional intensity. It’s why I return to her again and again.

Although–I will say that if you’re here for historical accuracy, look another way! It’s not terribly obvious, and I really don’t mind (I am a big fan of anachronistic historical romances), but I feel some would appreciate the warning.

At the end of the day, the Godwicks series is sumptuous, but still light enough for an evening romp between the pages. It’s a sweet, delightful nightcap.

3.5 stars.

Very very heavy on the overdetailed smut - loved the concept and was an easy read all in. I do wish the word 'organ' wasn't quite so heavily relied on. Or the 'hood'

I love the previous two books (book 2, especially), but this one didn't quite work for me unfortunately.

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Plot/Storyline: 📖📖📖📖
Feels: 🦋🦋🦋
Emotional Depth: 💔💔💔💔
Tension: ⚡⚡⚡
Romance: 💞💞💞
Sensuality: 💋💋💋
Intimate Scene Length: 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑
Steam Scale (Number of Scenes): 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Humor: Just a bit
Perspective: Third person perspective from both the hero and heroine

Should I read in order?
I picked this one up alone and found it perfectly readable as a stand alone. I’m not sure how much character depth happens, if any, in prior books.

Basic plot:
Arthur’s brother has racked up a massive debt at The Pearl, an exclusive hotel with brothel ‘room service’. His brother has given a very important family painting to take care of the debt, which Arthur finds absolutely unacceptable. The owner, Regan, says he can work off the debt by spending 10 nights in her bed instead.

Give this a try if you want:
- art – they re-enact various paintings and I thought that was fun
- some light Dom/sub kink with the heroine being the Dominant, hero is submissive
- High steam – plenty of scenes and variety (nothing vanilla here!)
- A touch of paranormal mystery, but most of the focus is on the couple, especially Regan
- Older heroine, younger hero
- Childless HEA
- Heir to an Earldom hero, widowed hotel owner heroine – both characters are rich and powerful in their own rights

Ages:
- Heroine is 30, hero is 21

My thoughts:
I found this one very interesting! I don’t usually try books like this, that are this erotic and have a submissive hero. I actually thought this one was historical when I picked it up (that’s what I get for hardly ever reading the synopsis!) but in many ways it still had a historical feel – so much of the storyline takes place at a hotel that is quite old and has a lot of history to it. The hero is the eldest son from an aristocratic family. It was just enough that I wasn’t super jarred as I sometimes can feel when reading contemporary.

Anyway, very much about the intimate journey here, and Regan recovering from her abuse of her prior marriage and hurt from her loss of her family. I thought the writing was wonderful. The bedroom scenes were engaging, although I’ll admit a few parts got a bit too ‘mechanical’ for me and didn’t quite have the emotional pull I love. But some of them did, especially towards the end when they truly started embracing their feelings for each other.

Arthur being a submissive was rather a delicious change for me. I am so used to reading all of my hero’s as very alpha and domineering, but I rather loved Arthur’s character and he loved to please Regan and was quite gentle.

Regan’s character is a touch darker, but so heartbreaking. I really felt for her and ended up really loving how she was taking back her confidence and control of her life.

This probably isn’t one I would reread, but I am happy to have given it a try. It was memorable and touching. And YES it has an HEA.

I tried but I don't think this book is for me. I am not one to write bad reviews but this is forcing me to write 100 Characters long. I think this book could be a better fit for someone else.

3.5 stars. This was really good, but I didn't enjoy it quite as much as The Rose. Tiffany Reisz is able to make a book atmosphere with very few words. It felt very sexy with some dark academia vibes bc the heroine is a know it all in art history and with paintings being what drives the sexual moments.
The situationship between Regan and Arthur is basically a business transaction and while I liked that, it was really hard to transition out of that and believe the romance.
I will say there is a twist in this book that will not work for a lot of people including myself, but you learn it so far into the book that you’re basically done when it comes out so I kept reading. I don’t know why it had to be in there but it’s...a choice. Anyway, it was cool. Will definitely be reading more from Queen Reisz!

4 Stars. Another enjoyable naughty masterpiece from the queen of erotica, Tiffany Reisz. Couldn't put it down.

I don't think there will ever be a book by Tiffany Reisz I won't enjoy. She's that author to me. Anything she writes is simply spectacular and it's done with such commitment that it just wows me.

Even when she writes about something I might not like from other authors, from her, it just makes sense and I'm suddenly in love. Tiffany is an amazing writer and storyteller, she was truly born to do this and I'm always humbled by her talent. And grateful that she decided to write, because I honestly don't know what would be of my life as a reader without her books.

No matter the plot line, the subject, the trope, she ALWAYS delivers something incredible. She's a very versatile author and The Pearl couldn't be different.

I was enthralled by the story and the characters. I loved the hints of Tiffany's sense of humor in the story. It's definitely a "Nora Sutherlin" book, because I can see Nora's sense of humor in it, which is obviously Tiffany's.

Not to mention how sexy this book is. Tiffany writes about sex in a very elegant way, even when using crude words and that makes the story quite real and believable. She just makes me want to read her books on and on. And as usual, I didn't want The Pearl to end!

4★★★★Stars

Genre: Erotic Fantasy
Type: Standalone Book 3 of The Godwicks series
POV: Third Person

Lady Reagan Ferry as the owner of the Pearl hotel gets what she wants when she wants. When she came across the opportunity to land a very important art piece she didn’t hesitated. However; she never anticipated the cost she had to pay for that piece of art.

“You sold yourself to me to protect your brother. I sold myself to protect me. Everyone has their price, yes?”

Lord Arthur Godwick has lived all his life protecting his younger brother and when he gets a call to bail him out yet again he don’t even hesitate and will do anything to protect him. He however did not excepted to liked the sacrifice so much.

”He’d shown his face to a thousand friends. For the first time, that night with Regan, he’d shared some secret part of his souls with someone. With her.”

I really liked both Reagan and Arthur, I felt they were made for each other. However; I was somewhat a bit disappointed with some of the heated scenes. In a way I was expecting a full dominance and submissive type of story, but I still enjoyed the different type of love story the author delivered. I must say that my favorite character was Zoot! She was absolutely amazing and I freaking laughed so hard until the very last page.

Overall; The Pearl is a fun, romantic read with some erotic scenes. This book will be appealing to anyone looking for a mysterious yet sexy read.

The Pearl is the third book about a mystical family in Europe. Arthur is the oldest and caretaking sibling of the Godwick family. Regan is the rich widow that owns The Pearl Hotel and comes into possession of a Godwick family heirloom.

Lord Arthur Godwick come to the rescue of his younger brother (not for the first time). Arthur offers himself to pay off his brothers debt to save a family heirloom going to Regan at The Pearl Hotel.

Regan takes Arthur as her slave to pay off the debt but nothing is as it seems which was a fun twist to the book!

A good story with interesting character.
I enjoy the plot and the character growth.
It's not too fast and not too slow either.
Thank you netgalley for the arc.

tiffany Reisz is a go-to author for me. She writes such complex, dynamic characters and of course everything is smoking hot. So enjoyable.

[Thanks Netgalley for the ebook. This review is my honest opinion but just another opinion, you should read this book and judge it by yourself]

I love anything written by Tiffany Reisz and this is no exception, although I love other of her books more. The Pearl is very well written, it's a wonderful erotica tale and I love how it mixes the hot stuff with paranormal and Art (!). It's so bizarre only she can make it so good. It has a great start but I think it turns a little weak from the second half of the story,
Overall, it's a good story.
