Tiffany Reisz is just incredible a weaving a story.

The plot, the characters, the drama, the feeling that you get when you're immersed into a Tiffany Reisz story.

Loved it.

I'm very sorry that I didn't get to read this book. I lost my Kindle. My library didn't purchase this book.

At first, the story was very enjoyable: an older woman takes charge of her own sexuality. Yes, girl! go for it, honey! However, pretty soon I realized it wasn't a chance encounter, Regan has an agenda or a reason for picking Arthur. All I kept thinking was, please let it NOT be some sort of revenge for something that was done in the past. Well, sure enough, it was...And then the author was desperate to include gothic parts and they didn't work.

I really enjoyed this book. It is well up to Tffany's usual standard with an excellent story line. Plus the action is as hot as you would expect.

The Pearl is the most grab your tissues and be ready for an emotional ride.

The characters have issues that they need to resolve but as always the journey is not an easy one! The passion, love, kink and soul searching/binding is fantastic!

This is a fantasy in so many aspects but I cannot tell you more because you need to read the glory for yourself!

Quick break down:
The Pearl is the third book about a mystical (yes art is involved) family in Europe.
Arthur, is the oldest caring sibling of the Godwick family.
Regan, The Pearl Hotel is owned by widowed Regan and a possession of a Godwick family heirloom, is now in her possession.

Grap this read and enjoy your ride!

This was my first Tiffany Reisz erotic romance book. Let’s just say it will not be my last!!

Thank you to the Publisher and Netgalley for the advanced e-reader copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

While not as “out there” as the previous books in the series, Arthur and Regan still did the Godwick’s proud. Ms. Reisz has a way with words and I’m hoping for another book in the series, especially after the little gem at the end of THE PEARL.

Thank you to Netgally for an ARC of this novel.

When Lord Arthur Godwick learns his younger brother is up to his bollocks in debt to Regan Ferry, owner of The Pearl Hotel, he agrees to work off the tab... in her bed. Soon the handsome but troubled Arthur discovers he's a pawn in an erotic game of revenge--and nothing, including his lover, is what it seems..

I haven't read the first two novels in the series but thoroughly enjoyed this one. Reisz is a talented writer, I usually do not enjoy reading stories with a dominant female and with a younger man due to the age gap however this book was still really intersting!

Wow! This was amazing! Very erotic! Tiffany writes some of the best erotic stories! I can't wait to read more from this author!

I enjoyed this book, the first from this author for me and although this is the third in the series it didn't spoil my enjoyment that I hadn't read the others, I may well go back and read them now.

I have always been a huge fan of this author. The Original Sinners series is one of my l time favorites. I was legit ecstatic to get this. The book is exactly what you would expect and hope for from Tiffany. It's mysterious, sensual, and oh-so good.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading it but for some reason, I didn't exactly connect to either of the MCs. I enjoyed it but not as much as I loved Tiffany's other books. It wasn't the book, merely like maybe I wasn't in the mood for it? Wrong time, right book, if you will.

This series is completely bonkers, in the best of ways. There's erotica, and then there's whatever Tiffany Reisz is doing within in it. The first two took a very literary approach to the encounters between the two main characters (I mean, the second is based around Greek myths in a way that is delightfully intellectual.) So I was really expecting more of the same blend of art and sex with "The Pearl," which follows Lord Arthur Godwick and Regan Ferry, owner of the notorious Pearl hotel.

Each encounter is centered around a painting -- but there's not as many supernatural elements to the encounters the way the first two books did. I really expected Regan and Arthur to sink into the paintings they were recreating sexually each time. There's at least one instance of Regan entering a kind of fugue state where she experiences the painting on hand, but I still found myself disappointed in that lack of magical realism.

There is some supernatural/magicness is the involvement of the notorious Lord Godwick, Arthur's great-great grandfather, but it's minor at best. I wish he had either been a bigger player, or again, that each encounter had been magical as had been the pattern in the previous two books.

That all being said, Tiffany once again delivers top-notch, smart erotica. She flips the script on relationship dynamics of the two main characters. Arthur is the one being taught by Regan, not the other way around, as had been the case in the other books. Arthur is also submissive in bed, which was another lesser-seen dynamic, and it was incredibly satisfying. You don't often see a lord in any type of romance, erotic or otherwise, be the submissive in the bedroom (and the way Arthur described his desire "a knight wanting to serve his lady" was both effective and romantic).

Outside of the sexual and romantic plot line between Arthur and Regan, the family dynamic between Arthur and his younger brother as well as Regan and her late husband were compelling. Both Regan and Arthur grow on their own, and it feeds beautifully into their core relationship.

Another success for Tiffany, and I really wish there would be more in the series!

Reviewing a Tiffany Reisz's book is a little bias for me, as I already am in love with her impressive of a writing and imagination.
the story is written in 3 parts, set in a modern gothic atmosphere.
The book dives into the essence of the story since the first chapter. Arthur Godwick , is summoned by Lady Regan owner the controversial hotel/ ex-brothel "the Pearl". Arthur is to settle his younger brother's enormous bills by giving himself to Regan for 10 days. The rules are simple: he will come to her when he is summoned, do whatever she asks of him, and leaves when she says so.
Like all of the books in the series, the characters are wonderfully well crafted.
Regan is by far my favorite character. she is absolutely captivating. how badass can she get, I mean she domesticated a raven.

Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for my review copy

This book is third in a series but can be read as a standalone. Indeed, I understood everything. The writing isn't quite good I would say but the story and especially the relationship is quite interesting. It is not your usual man dominates the woman thing. So just for that, I enjoyed it.

Yeah this wasn't the book for me, I can admit it. I love erotica but I couldn't find myself getting into this novel. Regan was so unlikable and the relationship between her and Arthur, if you can call it that felt exploitative in a way that I couldn't get into. The author is great at steamy scenes however and they were creative and interesting to read. The way she mixes art with her stories is always an interesting read.

Tiffany Reisz is one of my auto-buy authors and I have loved almost everything she has written. The Godwicks series being one of my favorites, THE PEARL a fantastic addition to the series. I was excited to read about the heir of Lord Malcolm a few generations after his untimely demise. I was whisked away to London from the first page and invested very shortly after. Like many of her characters before me, I fell right into the story almost like art magic.

Arthur is trying to pay off his brother's debt to Regan, a hotel and brothel owner, and the two begin a transactional and scandalous affair. The overall arc of the romance was complicated with lots of unsaid things between them. We peel back layer by layer of each character to understand their motivations, ever-changing moods, and fickle inclinations. One aspect of their choices wasn’t my favorite but their characterizations made me believe their actions so I could still get behind their actions and very much still love it. Their feelings were complex and complicated and not easy to like at times but they were very much typical Reisz quick wit and sassy to the point of sadist.

While I'm not a big art person, these books make me want to be. I think it is so incredibly brilliant how Reisz uses paintings as a major component to her plot having the characters act out paintings within the story with of course--dare I say it?--artistic license. I'm always on the edge of my seat to see what painting she uses as her muse next.

This book is not for the faint of heart. It's level 10 on the steam and descriptive scale. While The Pearl is not my favorite book of this series, I still loved spending time with the Godwick family and I can only hope Lord Malcolm still has some tricks up his sleeve...especially after that ending.

Having read most of Tiffany Reisz's work, I'd say this is probably her best book in the genre yet. Deeply emotional, thoughtful and languorous, this felt like a journey into both the past and a beautiful mirage of two people falling in love and lust in the present. This book truly impressed me with the ability of the author to tell a more complex narrative story with an emotionally complicated reveal for the heroes. Other books in the series, can feel a bit like a collection of short stories tied together with a common theme (though they're all lovely and enjoyable). I'd say this is my favorite series of the author's as well, along with The Red (which introduces readers to the character of the Earl of Godwick). Although there is a lovely lilt of tragedy to the book, it hues to the hope of love conquering, and has beautiful imagery, both erotic and in the context of the emotional development of the characters. By far recommend for those fans of the genre, and I'd say it's a classic read-again-and-again for fans of Tiffany Reisz.

This is the first erotica I've read in a very long time and all I can say is WOW. I will definitely have to read more of this series.

Had no idea what to expect but wow! I had no idea it was erotica and thought "Another sex deal, joy..." but I was proven wrong.

Reisz proves that you can write erotica with a good story. Her use of paintings to tell the story is phenomenal and the banter between the mains is perfect, I truly believed they could be friends and more. And the love scenes are insanely hot.
Not a fan of the twist but it comes late enough that I could still enjoy the book.
