A delightfully sweet read!  Evie's discovery of the village, and her adoption into the life of the villagers made me want to pack a back and head to England posthaste.  Roane, of course, was a gem.  The side characters were well-developed, and helped pull me into the world, and keep me invested in the story.

A sweet, contemporary romance for book lovers!

Evie Starling is a 33 year old editor and book lover living in Chicago. Her life is a mess, and she desperately wants a change of scenery. Therefore she decides to take a trip to Northumberland, England to relax and get some perspective. 

Her luck begins to change as Evie is offered a fabulous opportunity to run Much Ado About Books for four weeks, the small bookstore located beneath her rental apartment. While running the bookshop, and living in the village, Evie feels more at home than ever before. She meets good friends and neighbors, and becomes close with a handsome farmer named Roane. Evie begins to realize sometimes life surprises you when you’re least expecting it.

This book is super cute! A little Hallmark-ish with some steamy romance. Roane is such a great character, he and Evie have a strong connection from the beginning, and it felt very genuine. I really liked Caro and Viola, this story would be fun to continue as a series focusing on different characters. 

I did think Evie completely overreacted by running back to Chicago. I loved that Greer and her mother both gave Evie a reality check, and made her see things clearly. Overall a fun, romantic, feel-good story! A special thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for sending me an ARC!

If it isn't an Alaskan romance, my next favorite are one's based in England. This did not disappoint!! The chemistry between Evie and Roane is instant and I loved the blossoming of their relationship. A bit of drama that made me go 'ugh' but it didn't take away from the story. I loved it!! 4.5 stars

What happens to a Shakespeare nerd when it seems like her whole life is falling apart? Obviously, she takes a trip to England. 
I related to this book, truly. Evie feels as though her friends are all moving on with their lives and leaving her in the dust. So she packs her bags and heads out. Makes sense to me. She meets loveable and well-drawn characters along the way and discovers some things about herself that change everything.
This is a sweet, romantic story set in a picturesque setting that makes me want to pack up and plan my own trip across the pond.

I loved this book- my favorite by Samantha Young yet! I need more characters like Roane please!!! At time Evie's refusal to accept his very obvious adoration was frustrating but it made the slow burn all that more wonderful and satisfying when they did get together.  I also loved the town aspect and getting to know the other characters.

I am new to the Romance genre, so I'm not sure whether my reaction to this book is fair. The premise and the characters are charming. Single woman takes off to England for everyone's fantasy - running a bookshop in a quaint seaside town. She immediately meets the most handsome man who falls madly in love with her. That's fine, I can handle that. What I can't handle is the preponderance of traditional gender dynamics. Is it too much to ask to read about a heterosexual romance that isn't also full of a women worried about being single and worried about her body? I really liked the supporting characters and the way their stories unfolded, I just did not have any interest in hearing from the protagonist.

Where to begin?? I am obsessed with Samantha Young, and was over the moon when I saw she had a book available to review!! I barely skimmed the plot before I dove in. If there's an author I adore, I usually end up doing that. 

33 year old Evangeline Starling is in a rut in her life and comes across a dream vacation of taking care of a quaint bookstore in a small English village and living in the apartment above the shop. 

First of all, I think this dream vacation is appealing to most of us who are fans of Samantha Young. I would KILL to get that opportunity. Evie is such a lovable character from the get-go. She's loyal to her family and friends and seems to always put others first. She meets Roane Robson on the first day in the village by saving his beloved dog (such a wonderful meet-cute), and oh man what a terrible time to have sworn off men! He's truly the best! I usually am so skeptical about a love at first sight type scenario, but I feel like anyone would fall in love with Roane seconds after meeting him. 

Overall feelings after finishing: "WHAT AN AMAZING BOOK! I WANT TO LIVE THERE" and immediately searching for a dream vacation to rent out a bookstore and be the owner for a month.

I finished this book too fast, and disappointed myself that I didn't savor it enough. But what can you do?

“Much Ado About You” by Samantha Young was fabulous! Seriously, the whole story is like a book lovers dream! I fell in love with not only the main characters, but the side characters, the bookstore, the Northumberland village setting, the townsfolk, and the dog!

Evie is such a relatable character. She has self doubts and insecurities, but she’s also a strong female lead who I just loved. I think Roane might be the sweetest male character I’ve ever met from Samantha Young! He’s just fantastic and so much more than what he seems and I was just desperate for Evie to give him a chance. Everything about their story was so well done. I was just in love with this book the entire time  I was reading and didn’t want it to end. I really hope we get more from this world because I NEED to know what happens with Caro!
