This book has beautiful illustrations and I loved the love of biology and wildlife in this one. Aside from being colorful, it also provided a lot of interesting information and lessons that I know young children will appreciate.

I'm always on the lookout for new graphic novels to order in the shop - especially for children. They're rare to find in UK bookshops often enough but they're a staple of the European market. I know I will be ordering in Frankie as soon as it's available.

It's a sweet, funny, wonderfully colourful little story: I always like young heroines who are interested in science, and I loved all the tidbits of information about the animals. She was also a bit different, and I could've PROTECTED HER AT ALL COSTS against those bullies! Frankie Fairy is THE MOST PRECIOUS BEST GIRL.

The ending felt wholesome and empowering, and extra points for her relationship with her mum! A single working mother with a great rapport with her daughter: I loved.

An adorable tale of a girl who is a little different than her peers and fears not fitting in. Ultimately she finds her nerve and becomes proud of the unique traits that she encompasses.

The illustrations in this graphic novel are colorful and fun. They are perfect for keeping your little one engaged. I'd probably recommend this book to the age group of 4-11. It's just the right amount of whimsical and heartfelt. I do wish it had been a bit longer, but ultimately it's just a bit longer than the ideal length for a bedtime story.

WHAT A TREAT!! Spooky, fun and heartwarming all at once, this graphic novel was truly stellar and I'd highly recommend it not only to young readers, but also to those young at heart.. One can never hear often enough that it's alright to be different from other people and that those differences should be not only embraced, but celebrated. It's a book full of validation AND adventure, plus it's spooky on top of it all. If that wasn't enough, the wonderful story and characters are accompanied by stunning illustrations!

I loved this book. So much. I want a copy to give to every bug-loving kid in a mile’s radius from me. This story follows Frankie, a “scary” fairy, who loves exploring and writing down her finds in her field journal. I loved the look into her journal spreads and what she learned from each creature.

Another thing I absolutely loved was the wholesome mother-daughter relationship in this book. Frankie’s mom is fully supportive of Frankie’s passions, and also addresses the importance of safety while exploring.

This art style is so exciting and happy! Any kid would love this book for sure. I loved it and I’m 20 lol.

Overall, Frankie and the Creepy Cute Critters is a wonderfully fun story about identity and being true to yourself.

I enjoyed this visually bold and extremely colorful graphic novel probably best suited for late-elementary school students. Frankie is starting at a new school, and on the first day, everyone shies away from her and says she's creepy! After school, Frankie explores the land around town and encounters animals that at first seem scary, but at second glance, are pretty cool! I loved that this book emphasized not judging people (or animals) by how they look or seem on the outside, while also hyping up animal science. Frankie's field guide pages are chock-full of fun facts about the animals she meets, which adds an informational aspect to this short, colorful book.

I loved this so so much!!! Everything about it was so cute, from the color scheme to the story itself!!! I definitely wanna buy this so I can put it with the rest of my cute middle grade graphic novels <3

Great intro to beginner graphic novel reading! A story about a creepy fairy girl trying to fit in at a new school and finding a way to be accepted while celebrating what makes her unique!

Frankie Fairy is going to a new school. As she deals with the challenge of being the "new" kid, she goes on walk and explores her new town where she encounters and journals the things she meets along the way. She tells her mom about her day and all the things she learned outside on her walk and her troubles at school. Talking it out with her mom gives Frankie a new perspective. This graphic novel brings science and dealing with starting a new school into an engaging format for all young readers.

YES! I really enjoyed this graphic novel. It was cute, fun and sends a positive message to people. I really loved how Frankie had the courage to stand up for herself even when she had been made to believe negativity about herself.

The illustrations are so full on. They are so colourful and seem to radiate throughout the whole book. I suppose you could day that they were overwhelming at first but I quickly enjoyed that factor. They are as bold and strong as Frankie turns out to be and I'm left wondering if that was the plan all along.

Highly recommend this.

Honestly what a sweet book! I loved the idea of Frankie and her mom, the relationship between them was adorable to see how they cheered each other up. I think a lot of children will relate to this and it teaches such an important message of perspective and perseverance, I think every kid should read it and I am eagerly awaiting Frankies next adventure.

Also the art style is amazing and beautiful. The illustrations tell so much of the story in such a clearly thought through way.

I got some vibes of Isadora Moon while reading this but in a more "mature" way.
Frankie is a not-so-typical fairy who gets bullied at school in her first day.
She likes science, field guides and explore nature.so we can expect parts of science and school issues in this comic. It felt rather short, given it's only 45 pages, but it looks suitable for younger readers; they will definitely feel drawn to the bright colours and possums and will learn about the uniqueness in being creepy.

I loved this comic. It was so colourful and weird, but in such a way that it all made sense and made a whole. I loved the characters and the "Animals" I don't know if I could call them animals since they are so huge however they were so cute. This is a cute read for a younger audience as well especially due to it being so colourful.
I love the way the story is told and how the main character deals with the events in the story. It was really good!

Frankie is excited to meet everyone at her new school, but when her flower fairy classmates first see her big hair, bat-like wings and powerful enthusiasm, they label her "creepy" and won't spend any time with her. Rather than stay down about it, Frankie wanders out of town to engage in her favorite hobby, nature observation, and discovers that it's possible to be creepy and cute. Fun facts and adorable details pop out frequently in the bold colors that give everything a slightly Halloween theme. My personal favorite was the borker, a wooly bear caterpillar named Tuna.
This short graphic novel is very approachable for elementary students and offers a gentle reminder that you get to decide who you want to be, regardless of what your peers call you. I know some third-grade girls who won't be able to wait for more!

Frankie Fairy is a biology loving girl who just wants to get stuck in and explore the weird and wonderful world around her. I love the art style, it's bright and colourful and full of fun.

This book tells a really important story in only 40 pages, the message of being yourself even when people call you a 'Scary Fairy' for being a bit different from the rest, and still loving who you are despite it all.

I really believe this book should be in school teaching children a very valuable life lesson in such a fun and colourful way.

I would reccommened this book whole heartedly!

Frankie and The Creepy Cute Critters is a small 40 page comic about Frankie Fairy who moves to a new place with her mother. She is at a new school and is struggling to fit in so she turns to the creepy critters that she loves adding to her little field book. This is a comic about how one accepts themselves and how to embrace who they are. This is perfect for children3 but I also found that I enjoyed it a lot as it was a wholesome story and I think everyone can do with reading an accept yourself story.
