Not only is the cover to die for but the outstanding talent after the cover will completely blow your mind!!! My #MNGirl picks up where #MNGirl left off and you will not want to put it down once you start!!! The chemistry between Saylor and Ciaran is off the charts! After the dramatic ending of the first book, I knew this would be a thrilling ride but my god, I was not expecting this! The twists and turns full of bomb laden surprises will leave you slack jawed until the very last page. I was already in love with the basis of the plot after book 1, but this book sold my addiction and I'll eagerly awaiting the next book in the series to find out what happens next. Any annoyance I had with a few of the characters was completely redeemed in this book. Making this another short and sweet review as this mind blowing book needs to be experienced first hand. |
Holy good mother of all.....wow!!! #MNGirl was my first book by this author and I loved it - I even went back for a re-read before starting this one and oh jeez, A.M.Brooks smashed it!!! Although at the start of the last book, the Midwest Boys annoyed me, they soon redeemed themselves! And in this book?....damn I want me a Midwest Boy!!!! Saylor/Ariel is such a kickass, strong and sassy chick - she rocks and I love her!!! The storyline is unique and I seriously seriously loved it, I was completely gripped from the very first page, right up until 'The End'! Everything was just perfect, the attraction, the friendships, the betrayal, the action, even the sexy scenes - all just plain perfect! So can't wait for more.... 5 well deserved stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ |

4.5 Stars!! This story certainly picks up after that shocking revelation at the end of book one as we got answers to what we've been dying to find out. It sweeps you up and your consumed with all the details and hanging on to A.M words. You can't help but sympathise with Saylor, she's been put through the wringer and broken in pieces. I can't help but admire how she slowly pieces herself back and with the help of Ciaran and the guys. Throughout the book there's suspense, twist and some hell of some surprises. Also the plot is definitely different and refreshing from what I'm used to reading. I'm not even going to delve into anything but though Saylor and Ciaran's story have come to a conclusion there's much answers and I've certainly anticipating the next book of this series |
After #MNGirl ended in a cliffhanger, I started on My #MNGirl as soon as I received the arc from Netgalley. I needed to know if Saylor's sister Mila had survived the brutal attack and who was behind it. But no, A.M. Brooks doen't give answers lightly. In My #MNGirl more bodies start turning up and it looks like Rogue has a leak. We learn more about the past of Jason, Matt and Saylor's mum. And Saylor learns why Ciaran, Silas and Kai resented Saylor for months. But now they have to work together to find out who is responsible for the killings and they try to track Saylor's father, where this whole mess started. Another story full of suspense, family ties and of course some romance. But in the end, A.M. Brooks just leaves you with more questions than answers. So, now we wait for the next one in this series. Hopefully one of the next stories will be about Kai or Silas, because those guys also kinda grow on you. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc. |
Here is sit at 2 AM with 4 pages full of notes....shocked. Ugh! I’m left I. Such a state after reading that. I loved it obviously. Ciaran and Saylor are beautiful together, like a well played song or a great movie. The suspense and things that just keep popping up are nail bitting experiences. I don’t know how the author has come up with something so exciting but she is brilliant. I had a hard time enjoying Silas in the first book but not I love him...his dad too! We have so many characters to follow it totally makes sense to keep notes and make sure I have them all straight. This book contains Sex....hot sex Spy like activities Death General mayhem Surprises.....seriously around every corner |
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange of an honest review. This book was filled with action packed from page one, a lot was happening and this was seriously not an standalone book which is why I felt pretty lost but thankfully I catch up quickly and got into the story right away. The writing is good and the characters were well developed and likable although they're way too many characters with way too many subplots so you get a bit lost sometimes. Now, I didnt like the romance, possibly because now is full on and I have no connection with the characters and how they ended up together that I couldn't connect with any relationship but that's my fault. The story was a bit predictable at times which sucks because it does have great potential. I might go back and read the previous books and then reread this one, maybe I'll enjoy the story better then because now it was just okay. |

This book picked up right where #MNGirl left off. The major twists and turns in this story had me reeling. Saylor and Ciaran can't seem to catch a break. This series is truly unique and unforgettable. I did get a little annoyed with the Midwest boys and their guardians for putting them in certain situations, but they made up for it mostly. I cannot wait to read #SummerGirl. I'm really interested to see where else this series will go. |

Okay, I know, crazy! I had no idea this was part of a series! After reading about these amazing characters, the suspense, the steam, I've got to read book 1 and be sure to be alerted when book three arrives! This was an absolute page turner from an author I own two books from. Looks like MS. Brooks is here to stay! I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review. |
A.M. Brooks did not disappoint!! My #MNGirl was just as amazing as #MNGirl! I absolutely love Ciaran & Saylor’s connection. This story had even more suspense, drama, and angst that will leave you with even more questions! I can’t get enough of the whole Rogue family, and I’m excited to see what lies ahead! |

Another absolutely exceptional book by A.M.Brooks!! Holy he'll am I impressed with this series! It is such a maze of plot twists and turns, with plenty of HEA!! |
MY #MNGIRL BY A. M. BROOKS is book Two in the Midwest Boys series. This continues the story of Saylor and Ciaran, so you really should read the previous book '#MNGirl' before starting this one. This does pick up where we were left hanging. Saylor is processing the devastating news along with her feelings for Ciaran. Ciaran too is working through his feelings for Saylor and what he has been working for most of his life. This book and series is a total page turner. I would recommend this author's writing and of course this series. |
Thank you The Next Step, NetGalley and the author for a complimentary copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All opinions expressed are my own. My #MNGirl By: A.M. Brooks REVIEW ☆☆☆☆ I loved #MNGirl, the first book, and My #MNGirl did not disappoint. This book picks up where the first left off, and there are tragic circumstances. Saylor and Ci further cement the chemistry between them, but nothing is ever easy. There are twists, turns drama, love, hope, all meshing to create a well balanced and insightful story. Although I liked this story just slightly less than the first, it was fantastic with all the feels. I won't give anything away, but I'm a bit sad that some people and situations are pretty much wrapped up in the end. I know, however, that there are more great things in store and more characters to love in the next book, #summergirl. I highly recommend this series, and I think it is best to read the books in order. |
This Book is the second part of the series by A.M. Brooks. Told in third person's perspectives , This book was thrilling ride for me! After the disastrous cliffy of the first book , I was so eager to jump straight into this one! and what a book this one was ! The characters were definitely a lot different from what they were in the first book. Saylor was trying to keep her head above water after the sort of stuff that has happened to her . My heart really hurt for her , but at the same time I loved her bravery and courage ! then there was Ciaran! I loved seeing him turn into a more more gentle person than the Raving asshole he was in the first book! I loved the way he handled saylor and never missed an opportunity to show her how much he loved her! And then the end came and I left reeling again with another cliffy!! how am supposed to survive now! But in true A.M. Brooks style I know this author is going to make the wait of the third book worth it!! Definitely recommended to all the Dark romance / Bully romance lovers out there! |
The Midwest Boys is fast becoming one of my all time favorite New Adult romance series. It’s got drama, intrigue, murder, hot chemistry, witty and sarcastic banter for days, and just a touch of sweet. The first book left me absolutely freaking SHOOK. And while I saw the cliffhanger coming this time, it didn’t make it any less shocking. I’m all in my feels right now and want the answers but I’ll wait. While the first book is a take on the bully trope, this one is obviously way more focused on building a relationship between Ciaran and Saylor. She’s also continuing to build her friendships with Winter, Kai, and Silas. I appreciated the dual POV we get and I enjoyed reading both Saylor’s and Ciaran’s perspectives. I loved her character growth. She has truly bloomed into a strong and confident young woman even after the hell she has been through. Her world has been turned upside down and destroyed more than once and to see her still pick herself up and continue forward was amazing to witness. This group of teenagers aren’t like the “normal” teens I see in NA and I think that’s why I like it so much. Sure we still get to see them do teen things like go to school and prom (that scene was adorable btw) but that is such a small part of their lives. They have a serious job and they absolutely take responsibility and treat it as such. Sorry but I can’t stand typical high school drama *rolls eyes* I didn’t like it in high school and I don’t enjoy reading about it now. I wanted book two to bring me closure and answers which it did to some degree. What I wasn’t expecting was the hope it would leave me with. And hope can be a scary thing sometimes.... I’m really interested for book three which will be Silas’ book. That boy is moody and unreadable most of the time. So I’m anxious to get inside his head. Overall rating 4.5 rounding up to 5 stars Steaminess 3 stars |

I received a copy of this book to review from Netgalley. Thank you for the opportunity. This book is action packed from the first page, the reader is dropped into an evolving case. The romance is well done and the writing is good. The characters are likable and there is a definite good vs bad theme going on. There are many characters to follow and keep track off which can be a bit confusing. The story is a bit predictable at times and it feels like action is used to move the story forward when sometimes it would have been better to slow the book down a bit for character development. On the whole a good book. |
A.M Brooks is one of those authors that takes you by complete surprise! And when readers discover her work, the Midwest Boys series is the one that's going to make her stand out. Before I started My #MNGirl, I went back to reread the last couple of chapters from the first book. I wanted to refresh myself and because of the cliffhanger ending Brooks had left us with, I knew it'd be a great way to ease into the second story. I hadn't realized just how much I missed these characters! The intensity between Saylor and Ciaran's romance is still the main focus, but there's just so much more happening. Everyone is older and they've all stepped up. Just when you think nothing can beat the first story, book two is even better. I'm not sure that I'm ready for things to shift to Kai and Silas, but I know I need more! The originality with this series still blows me away and if you thought there were plots twists in the first book, then you're definitely going to to be in for a wild ride with this one. AMAZING job A.M. Brooks, you've given me a reader high that I'm not ready to come down from! Oh, and this cover is so perfect. |

A thrilling second story in this compelling romance suspense series. The young lovers, Saylor and Ciaran, find a sweet love and a sexiness that's swoon worthy. There are a few tense moments as they navigate their way through the obstacles of young love and their intense reality. They are so sexy and this story turns up the heat as they hit the sheets. The intrigue ramps up as someone targets Rogue and lives are put in peril. Tragedy strikes on several fronts and more lives are lost. I love the suspenseful storyline with the Rogue organization and it's badass crew that includes the Midwest boys, Ciaran, Silas and Kai. Those boys are really men now that have grown up under the wings of the Rogue leadership and trained to take over one day. Matt's estranged wife, Erika, makes several appearances. Can't wait for their story. The leader of Rogue and his Russian wife and confident. Together they make a formidable pair. It looks like Kai is set up for a romance with Saylor's bestie, Oaklynn, for the next story. I gotta say I'm waiting for Silas' story. That big bully is dreamy! I love the bad boys and Silas is the baddest of the group. Saylor's old life in NYC comes back to haunt her and reeks havoc while sister, Mila is in danger. There are a couple of surprise twists at the end that sets up for more intrigue for the next story since the drama with Saylor's dad, Calvin has mostly played out. Or so we think. The romance is sweet and sexy and the suspense runs hot and fast with lots of moving parts and high intrigue. A terrific series that's well written with action, adventure and danger and characters are fabulous. I can't wait for the next installment. |

This series just gets better and better! If you thought book one, #MNGirl, was jaw-dropping, you haven't seen anything yet! If you are looking for a page-turner that you can NOT put down (ya'll aren't ready for all these plot twists), then this series is it!!! This is going to be a quick review because it would just be wayyy to easy to slip out spoilers soooo, with that being said, don't forget this IS a series, NOT standalone so #MNGirl must be read first. ❝Fᴇᴀʀ ᴄʀᴇᴇᴘs ᴏᴠᴇʀ ᴍʏ sᴋɪɴ, ᴀɴᴅ I ᴛʀʏ ᴛᴏ ᴘᴜsʜ ɪᴛ ᴅᴏᴡɴ. The crew is all reeling after receiving devastating news and Saylor's world has once again been turned upside down. Only this time around, she has the support of the boys... especially Ciaran. But now that a threat is even closer than they could have ever imagined everyone is on high alert. The boys, *SIGH* I can't get over how much things have changed this time around and how protective they are of Saylor especially Ci I love that his caveman tendencies are at an all-time high in My #MNGirl. The steamy scenes between Ciaran and Saylor are SMOKING HOT but I like that there's JUST enough steam and that it doesn't completely overwhelm the story and take away from the suspense. ❝Wᴇ ᴡᴇʀᴇ ꜰɪʀᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ɪᴄᴇ. Brooks is a fabulous writer and I love that she steps outside of the box and tries to come up with ORIGINAL stories instead of the tried and true but re-used stories over and over again. She came up with a "bully romance" (which I love and is sooo popular right now) BUT she gave it enough of a twist that it's completely ORIGINAL. Plus she uses words like "fuckeduppedness", what's not to love?! Although Saylor and Ciaran's story is "over", there is still sooo much more of the story left to be discovered and questions to be answered so you can expect more from the other Midwest Boys. I can't wait for more of Silas in #SummerGirl! ❝Wɪʟʟ ʏᴏᴜ ʙᴇ ᴍʏ ɢɪʀʟ, Sᴀʏ?” “Yᴇs.” “Tʜᴀɴᴋ ꜰᴜᴄᴋ. Mʏ #MNGɪʀʟ.❞ Action, suspense, steam, the Midwest Boys series has it all!
