It's a crazy, unbelievable ride into the "Other Side" of reality. Tarryn creates a smokescreen and hides some really messed up characters behind it. Readers get to fumble around in the dark caverns of psyche till truth is revealed and the stunned silence that follows is the best compliment to give to an author who appears to be equally messed up as the book she wrote
Engrossing and hypnotic,the story will make your head spin, you'll be left wondering "what did I just read"
Loved it, tho it was a bit expanded and slow in pace,nevertheless her writing skills are incomparable and diligently thought provoking.

The Wrong Family has some dysfunctional, crazy and flawed characters.
A creepy and dark psychological thriller, cleverly written with unstable and characters and twists you won’t see coming. So  glad to have read this!
Overall I enjoyed this book!

This was my first Tarryn Fisher novel and it was ok. I enjoyed the secrets involved in the plot and the mental instability of the characters, but the overall plot was mediocre and the ending seemed really far-fetched. I enjoyed the fast pace and the characters, but the plot seemed wild and implausible. I will probably pick up another of Fisher's novels, but I'm not chomping at the bit to read her again.

Tarryn Fisher is one of my all-time favorite authors. She’s an auto-buy and I’ll do just about anything to get my hands on an early copy of her books. I love the thrill of never knowing what type of twists and turns she’ll throw at me and I was expecting nothing less from The Wrong Family.

As much as I wanted to love this upcoming release, The Wrong Family was a miss for me. Although the revelation did leave me reeling, the build up to the grand reveal was underwhelming. The first half of the book was SLOWWWW, and offered a lot of unnecessary details that didn’t lend much to the overall development of the story. The second half was a sprint but the finish line was too catastrophic and a bit far fetched for me.

Although not what I expected, Fisher’s writing is still phenomenal and I’m looking forward to what she writes next!

The Wrong Family is a very slow paced psychological thriller from the queen of twists Tarryn Fisher. 

Juno is an ex therapist and she’s living with the Crouch family of three. All is not what it seems and Juno I feel is not 100% sane. 

I really don’t know how I feel about this book. The beginning and middle were so slow and I was so confused for quite a while. It took me quite some time to get to the good parts and that was mind blowing and jaw dropping. If you read this book I suggest you stick with it and don’t give up, because it does pick up, and when it does you will be thankful you carried on.

I really had high hopes for this book, after reading Tarryn Fisher's The Wives but this book was a complete departure from anything I've read from her. The plot was confusing, all the characters extremely cold and unlikeable and the storyline was very janky and didn't flow well. I finished this book just to see if it got any better, but for me unfortunately it didn't which is a shame as I loved the wives.

Tarryn Fisher never fails to write an excellent thriller and The Wrong Family is no exception.  Highly recommend this for Fisher fans.

Nope. I wanted to enjoy this book but nope. I'm not sure why Fisher wants to use <spoiler> mental health </spoiler> constantly as a plot device, and it is not done well. This book requires the reader to have a huge suspension of belief which I just couldn't do. The writing style was enjoyable, and fast paced, but that was about as much as I can say.

What a wild ride!

I highly recommend you don't read much about this story before diving in. There are so many twists and turns that I wanted to see what happened next. While 3rd person is not my favorite tense, I was hooked on the plot and the characters which kept me reading.

If you love messed up psychological thrillers, don't skip this one!

This book was very different from the WIVES, in my own personal and honest opinion, I felt it was better than The WIVES and I liked that book. Tarryn's growth in writing gets better and better, which I love.
After reading PART 2 of TWF my mind was completely blown! I had to go back and scan over PART 1, like how the heck did I miss that? LOL, It had my attention from the very beginning. Overall, the book had my interest from the very beginning and I enjoyed it. I love books that keep me guessing and this was it.

This book was just ok for me. I read The Wives by this author so went into this book thinking it would be delicious. It drug for me at the beginning which I think set me up to fail at liking the book. It was just ok for me

I'm not sure what was happening when Tarryn wrote this book, but it was incredibly boring and confusing. I do not recommend.

The twists weren't that shocking and the characters were not overly developed or likeable, but this was a quick and entertaining read.

To Juno, Winnie and Nigel Crouch seem like the perfect couple and the perfect family. However, now that she's living with them, she sees that she was wrong about their seemingly perfect life. Will she risk everything and try to fix things or let the chips fall where they may? Perfect for fans of twisty thrillers and wild rides!

Tarryn Fisher, your mind is a glorious place because this book is all kinds of crazy! I will say it takes a little bit to get into it, but stick with it and you will find some crazy bombs laid out for you. The blurb does a good job in setting things up for you, but know that you are in for an insane ride.

All in all this thriller will keep you on your toes and will have you wanting to figure out what the FREAK is going on! I give it 4 stars and am always a fan of psychological thrillers!

The Wrong Family by Tarryn Fisher is a compelling, riveting, and a nail-biter of a read! As usual, I finish her books usually within a day!!!

The book is told in two women’s voices, Winnie and Juno. Fisher definitely digs deep into both women’s psyches. At first glance, it appears these two women couldn’t be more different. As I learned more, they shared more than a few similarities. Both have worked in the mental health field, both have made really bad decisions in the past, and both feel like they know what is best for those around them, whether in their personal or professional lives. 

Each woman thought their past decisions were the right ones, but they soon learn you can be wrong. Juno lives in the Winnie’s home, along with Winnie’s husband, Nigel, and their son, Samuel. In the beginning, she thinks they are the perfect family, and really, that is what Winnie tries to portray to the outside world. When Juno hears something she was never meant to hear, she decides she has to intervene. Has she learned nothing from her past...all she has to do is look to her past to realize her last intervention didn’t go so well. Winnie knows something about that because her actions in the past have completely altered her life with her husband and son. Winnie and Juno’s paths are about to converge in ways they never imagined. 

If you know anything about Tarryn Fisher’s writing, you know never to trust her synopses. There is so much going on underneath the surface. She perfectly pulls back each layer to reveal twists and turns you never see coming! 

I saw that some reviewers mentioned that this isn’t like her books in the past. It was a bit different from her other stuff, but I thought it was just as good! For me, that is a characteristic of a great writer. Fisher has never fit into a nice, perfect genre, and that is what makes her so amazing, and she always keeps me coming back for more!

Tarryn Fisher knows how to entrap you into her writing, FIRST AND FOREMOST. Geez, I couldn't put this book down and it was definitely a relief after reading several lackluster stories lately. The Wrong Family is more straightforward than her last book, The Wives, but in true Tarryn Fisher fashion, she will throw a massive curveball or two your way, unexpectedly. I really think people will have strong feelings about this book, but for me, this was exactly what I needed right now. Light mystery, dark dialogue, and wild outcome— The Wrong Family is not to be missed!

Loved this book and read in just a quick couple of days.  The characters felt alive as I read.  Tarryn Fisher once again had me at the edge of my seat with this psychological thriller.

We are introduced to a family that live in one home – there is Nigel, his wife Winnie, their son Samuel, and Juno. One evening Nigel and his wife Winnie have an argument that results in smashed glass all over the floor, and later on Juno walks into the kitchen and makes her way to the fridge for some food. Why is there still glass all over the floor? What were they arguing over? With a beginning like this, I was hooked and intrigued on what was going on.

Juno was an interesting and complex character full of her own secrets, lies, and betrayals. She was interested for for and I enjoyed reading through her eyes and the story unfolded from her POV. I also enjoyed reading the novel from Winnie’s POV. They were both different yet similar in many ways, and they had strong personalities that was interesting to read about.

A book that I recommend.

I don’t read thrillers often but Tarryn Fisher is most definitely a one click author for me so I had to read this book. She delivers an epic read that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. The Wrong Family is the right book to read!

This book was so good! With every page you never know what secrets will come out and what is really the truth. It’s Winnie and Nigels life and Juno is just trying to decode it. We must remember that we don’t always have the full story and consequences can be dire.

This book is a must read in my opinion and going in blind is the only way. So jump in and enjoy the thrill ride this author will take you on!
