This is such a cute children’s book. The graphics were very well done and the rhyming story was super cute. It had a dr suess feel to it and to that I give a hats off to the author.

Such a cute and adorable book for kids. My great niece loved this. It was so colorful and the story moved along smoothly. Loved this book.

So I love love love dinosaurs and I love reading about Thanksgiving as that always seems like such a wonderful feast. A combination of both sounds perfect, plus the cover was just the best.

It all starts with the preparations to the feast, we see big and small dinosaurs get groceries, travel to go to family and friends (with airplanes), and then we see each dinosaur make food, have fun, and then the feast starts and boy I wish I could be there. It all looks so good and so yummy and I love how the writer/illustrator made sure that every dinosaur had his own menu, because of course a Triceratops isn't going to be eating the same as a T-rex.

I just loved that this isn't just about the meal, but also about the preparations, about sports (didn't know that was a thing so I learned something new thanks to this book), about family. There is even a bonfire (another thing I didn't know was a Thanksgiving thing, but oh boy that makes the day even more perfect, mm marshmallows).

Can we have the next book be about what was said on the last page? I would love to see dinosaurs celebrate that!

The art was a bit chaotic, but also very fun. I loved how the dinosaurs were drawn and there were no such thing as those silly feathers. Sorry, I have grown up with dinosaurs being big, angry, and scaly, and now suddenly they are chickens. Meh.

I think this book will make a lot of kids happy. It is about a fun feast but also about dinosaurs!

I LOVED this book. My students will think it’s funny (dinosaurs having thanksgiving) and it included several examples that my students will relate to! I can’t say enough good things about it! I love how it rhymed and was silly!

I absolutely loved this fun Thanksgiving themed book. I enjoyed the rhyming in the story and thought the illustrations were amazing. I would definitely recommend this book; it is perfect for story-time.

A fun holiday themed book! I read a picture book every day with my students and this will be a fun addition to our November line-up. And my nephew will love all the dinosaurs running around being silly. Great book for ages 3-7.

This one was a bit of a miss for my toddler. I think the text needed to be a bit more visually pleasing (different fonts or colours). There also wasn’t really any funny moments in the story which means it would be unlikely that my toddler would ask to read this again.

This was such a cute book. The pictures are adorable. And the kids I read this book to really liked both the pictures and the story.

This will be a wonderful addition to Thanksgiving Storyrimes. The children and reader will be familiar with the book series . Love the rhyming way this and the other books read. Loved the different lifestyle themes and how everyone comes together! Wonderful addition to your bedtime or storytime rotation! Beautiful pictures with lots to see and pick out. Great for 4-7 yrs.

If you are looking for a fun fall book, this is the title to pick up. I loved the illustrations of dinosaurs doing all the activities humans do on Thanksgiving, such as playing football, watching a parade, and cooking a turkey. All of the dinosaur illustrations were colorful and charismatic. The rhyming prose will also make this book a great option for story or bedtime. As a side note, I thoroughly enjoyed the author's inclusion of dinosaurs who were herbivores and their vegetarian Thanksgiving! I would highly recommend this book and I want to go read more of the books in this series.

This little book is CUTE CUTE CUTE!! Personally I love reading holiday themed books with my kids. I have two boys so a dino themed holiday book is perfect!

Cute drawings and great rhymes. I could easily see adding an entire series of these to a baby/toddler age library.

My son made me read this to him twice in a row. He loves the story and artwork...he wants a Christmas one now.

When I saw this on Netgalley I couldn’t resist the urge to request it. When my boys were little we bought all of the Dino books and this one is just as magical! Lots of great pictures with a sweet rhyming story! Perfect for all children who love dinosaurs and adults too!

dino-thanksgiving is such a fun book. The story flows really well and hits all the Thanksgiving highlights. The illustrations are bright and engaging. Dinosaurs as the main characters will be a plus for kids. This is the best Thanksgiving themed book I have read- others are monotonous and have bland illustrations with too much brown, orange, & yellow.

Gather around, friends, but it’s about to be Thanksgiving in several Dino households. Everyone celebrates differently with all sorts of activities and traditions, but two things remain the same, good eating and loved ones.

I think that Thanksgiving will look a LOT different than normal for many people in our COVID-19 world, and I really loved reading about the traditions in this book. It warmed my heart, reminded me to keep looking forward to fall even when it’s 90something degrees and 100% humidity out there, and it gave me a feeling of normalcy, even for a moment.

Regardless of what the holidays will look like this year, this is an excellent choice for storytime. It’s told in rhyming verse with colorful, animated photos. It’s not too long and the rhythm encourages a repetition that invites collective movement and noisemaking for a fun storytime.

I really enjoyed this book, and I hope you and your little ones will, too. It’s out in September, so plenty of time to anticipate and celebrate before Thanksgiving Day.

It’s a Dino-Thanksgiving!
What I love about this story is that it relates to both Canadian and US thanksgiving. Many times I will read a thanksgiving story to my students and they are confused about the differences in our Thanksgiving traditions.

My students absolutely love Lisa Wheeler’s Dino series! I can’t keep them on my shelves!

I have loved all the Dino-sports books by author Lisa Wheeler. They have always been a huge hit in my classroom. This is similar in style, a cute rhyming book showing how Dinosaurs celebrate Thanksgiving. This will be so much fun to read aloud in the classroom!
