I am not actually a fan of christmas books but I loved reading this one. It took me a little time to completely get into the book but once I got into it, I loved it. This was a perfect read and this is definitely going on the list of "Best books to read on christmas" on my blog.

This was lovely. I adored it. Lovely characters, witty banter, and the writing just sparkled. A perfect uplifting book.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely adored this book. Nick was such an endearing character and just such a nice guy. I loved all the relationship dynamics and the witty banter all the characters shared. It was predictably sweet, and normally I don’t like predictable, but it wasn’t so much about that but how the story got to that point. Obviously this is more geared toward being a holiday read but I think it is a good read for any time of year. Really good writing quality and the story flowed very well and felt natural.

This heart-warming book by Joanna Bolouri is a perfect cosy winter read; the protagonist accepts the job of Santa in a shopping Center and sets his best friend up with a lonely woman he meets there... the only glitch is he starts to develop feelings for her himself. You'll fly through this book and find yourself rooting for the characters and wanting them to make the right choices. It's perfect for a cosy night in!

Great holiday read! I had gotten an ARC to prepare for my review and forgot to review it before Christmas. However, the fact that I remember the story 1.5 months later and how it made me feel as I read it, is probably the best testimony I can give as to how lovely the story is!

I received a copy of the book from Netgalley to review. Thank you for the opportunity.
A perfect Christmas read, perfect for those looking for a heartwarming read against the winter blues. I enjoyed it from the first chapter including Santa. There are plenty of laughs in this book with a fun sense of humor.
A great read.

Summary📖 -  What would you do, if you had fallen in love with your best friends girlfriend? The one that you set him up with…

All I want for Christmas, introduces Nick - who’s recently been dumped by his demanding high maintenance girlfriend following the loss of his job. As Christmas is approaching the only job available to Nick is the Santa at the local shopping centre grotto, where he meets 4 year old, Alfie and his mum Sarah.

Alfies wish to Santa, is for his mum to be happy again - which is where Nick gets the grand idea, of setting her up on a date with his best friend but as the pair see more and more of each other, was Nick too quick to jump to setting them up?

Review⭐️ -  When I read this, I was just heading back to work after self isolation, followed by lockdown 2.0 and had hit the biggest reading slump but this book was the perfect festive read. The reminder that 2020 definitely needed, that whatever happens, it’s all meant to be - despite Nick’s losses, he definitely came out on top in the end and his story made the perfect escapism. Festive feels, and a happy ever after. <3

I started reading this book after Christmas, and it still had me feeling all christmassy.
I love Joanna's books, her writing sucms me in to the characters world and I feel like I'm there with them.
I loved Nick and really wanted him to get together with Sarah, but didnt want it to affect his friendship with Matt,
Nick's relationship with Alfie was so lovely and heartwarming, I felt that they had a better relationship than Matt and Alfie had, but maybe that was wishful thinking. What I really liked was how Nick grew up as the story progressed, When it started, he was a complete mess and had lost sight of the person he was, but in the end he had really turned his life around.

This was such a gorgeous Christmas read, I could not put it down! The writing style was witty and humorous, especially with reading it from a male's perspective, it was a really refreshing change from reading perspectives mostly from women. I loved this story so much and would highly recommend!

Beautiful story with lots of laugh out loud moments. Only slight negative would be the amount of swearing in the dialogue but this didn’t deflect from the enjoyment of the story for me. Would highly recommend!

I loved this story so much! I love the fact that it was told from a man's perspective , and the humour thrown into it was exactly what we all need right now!. The friendship, the romance, and the storyline itself was heartwarming. I adored this book!

This ticked all the boxes. Made me laugh and also gave me a lumpy throat! The story is believable and it’s great to see how the characters develop. Would recommend and you dont have to save it for Christmas

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a sweet Christmas romance with wonderfully interesting and entertaining characters. The story was well-written and engaging. I have to say that typically when there is a child in a story that child's character is written in a way that really annoys me, and that WAS NOT the case with this book. The child, Alfie, was so likable and charming. I loved him! I loved everything about this book from start to finish. Wonderfully humorous and filled with the magic of Christmas romance. Perfect!

I loved the sound of this book, a fun rom-com with a love triangle? Sold. But I wasn't too sure that I would connect with the single-mum angle, I generally avoid books centred around families as I struggle to really appreciate the situation and family angle - however, Joanna managed to make me fall in love with the setup here. I loved Alfie, he was a terrific character (which is really hard to say sometimes. children in books don't always come up trumps).

It was a tad predictable and a little too gentle in places, the humour that came through occasionally was wonderful and I wanted to see more of this. I'd definitely recommend to friends though, and it's not just a lovely festive read, it's warming and perfect to curl up with over winter.

I've seen lots of great reviews about this book on social media. I really enjoyed the story but found it very difficult with the whole liking your friends partner.

Even with my dislike because of my morales this was a great read and can see why this is loved by so many.

A predictable read - but in a good way.

The characters are all relatable and nice enough and I thought that it made a great change to read something like this from the mans point of view.

The ending was strangely rushed but it didn't make me like it any less.

A wonderful book that proves chick-lit can be funny and original (at least to some extent) and cute and all that without being corny at all! Yes, it starts with a bit of a cliché (a kid wishes for his mommy to be happy again, and a nice guy is trying to make this come true), but then it gets suprisingly fresh & funny.

Joanna Bolouri writes solely from a male perspective (no unnecessary switching between his/her side), which I liked very much. Plus, she does so quite convincingly, that's amazing really. Nick doesn't behave like the typical macho-man (something lots of authors believe they must incorporate in their leading characters in romances) but like a regular nice guy who does not need to have sexual images run through his head as soon as he sees a girl he likes. I really really cherished the fact that the reader is spared constant references to what the guy would like to do with "her". We get it that he is slowly falling in love with her all the same.

Slight problem: she is the girlfriend of his best friend, who is not even a bad guy so that he (and the reader) would have no qualms about simply stealing her. I was really anxious to learn how this problem would be solved.

Although a lot of the story is not taking place around Christmas, it still has a great Christmassy feel about it!

Absolutely fantastic! It’s rare the main character of a romance is a man but this story really works. Fun, light hearted and engaging. It’s a perfect read. I was quite sad to finish even though I was desperate to find out the ending. Highly enjoyable and highly recommended!

Thank you Netgalley
