#The Bible Recap# is a Christian living book. Tara started D groups which are discipleships groups for men and women . #The Bible Recap# by Tara-Len around the world. She writes and hosts the radio show "The God Shot". and a daily podcast called "The Bible Recap." The book The Bible Recap is a great daily resource for a daily Bible reading. She has a daily reading plan and then explains the back round of the Bible passage. This back round explanation is helpful for anyone wanting to understand scripture in a deeper way. This is a good resource for any Christian , pastors and counselors. Thank you to netgalley, the author and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this book. I hope it is successful.

Filled with daily readings of commentary, The Bible Recap is a helpful resource that goes through Scripture chronologically. It does bother me that every single day ends with the exact same sentence, even when it has nothing to do with what came before.

I get why the author does this, but it backfires and frustrates me… at the least, the sentence prior could tie-in in some way instead of sticking the same few words on every single page regardless of whether it fits or not.

I'm a month into using this Bible study and I love it! As someone who was raised in a Christian home and taught from the Bible all my life it's often hard for me to find a study that gives me a fresh look at God's Word. But Cobble managed to do it! I've been loving getting into my Bible on a daily basis and the way Cobble makes me look at the passages in new ways has been so refreshing. I'm excited to keep reading and learning throughout the year!

I’ve enjoyed “The Bible Recap” podcast but am so excited there is a book version. Tara-Leigh write about the Bible in a way that is so approachable but not fluff. I’d recommend this book to anyone wanting to dig into Scripture!

This is a year read but the concept is great.

This book provides a daily recap of how to read the Bible through in a year.

Do you have trouble keeping on track with your bible reading? This is a wonderful resource that you will use time and time again in your year long bible reading. This is a chronological One Year Guide that starts with the the bible reading for the day. It is important to read what is assigned before you read the commentary. The commentary is short but it is powerful. It gives context and is God focused. This is important as the bible is not a get rich, get better, or get powerful but it is to know God better, deeper and his redemptive plan. I am purchasing the book to go with my bible reading and I am actually excited to do this plan. To be transparent, I did read thru this book rather quickly without reading the assigned scripture. I was only given a short time to read as the book becomes unavailable to me after 50 days after download. With that being said, I can confidently say that there is value in this book that will last a life time.

A special thank you to Bethany House Publishers and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

Perfect for fans of Cobble's Bible Recap podcast. It is meant to be read daily along with a chronological Bible, so is created for a very niche group.

The Bible Recap is a great podcast and I love that they released this book by the same name. The book correlates with reading the Bible through in a year. Each day there is a scripture passage to be read and then a short succinct commentary about the passage. I love the “God Shot” found at the end of each days reading. This portion focuses on how we see different attributes of God as we read through the Bible. This is beneficial because a lot of the times devotions could turn the focus on self, it’s refreshing to see a book that puts all the focus where it should be on scripture text and God. Allowing the reader to use the Bible as a way to grow closer to God rather than a self help book. Highly recommend this book to read along with your Bible daily.

I've always had a hard time reading through the Bible. Usually I get to around Leviticus and give up. This book has been really helpful in understanding the "whys" behind what was written and how to get the most understanding out of it.

This book is an incredible and helpful resource to go along with daily scripture reading. I think it would be especially helpful for those who are unfamiliar with the Bible in general. I am looking forward to using it with my daily reading.

I don't know where I would be without TBR in my life. TLC did a truly incredible job guiding me through scripture this past year. I now look for God's character, stay rooted in joy, and seek deeper understanding because of her insight into scripture. I cannot thank God enough for her willingness to serve so many people through writing this. I look forward to spending 2021 with TBR as well! This will be an annual endeavor from now on, thanks to this incredible content! I'm ecstatic to have access in book form now!

First when I heard about this book I started to hear the Bible Recap podcast as a part of my study of the book of Luke. It's a great book to read next to your Bible. Tara-Leigh leads you through a one-year chronological Bible reading plan. The Bible Recap book is not a devotional from which you will get insides from a writer but instead offers you background information and some explanation in a very simple way about the chapter you are reading. I like what Tara-Leigh calls "Today's God shoot" at the end of every day focusing on God.

I was introduced to Tara-Leigh Cobble via her podcast and knew that I wanted to read The Bible Recap right away. First, you will need a Bible to accompany this book as the scriptures are not within the text. It is a companion book, resource and guide of sorts. It packs so much into it, I'm not exactly sure what to label it. Cobble breaks down a chronological reading of the BIble into daily readings of several chapters. The Bible Recap then does exactly that - recaps what you read in the scriptures and ends with a paragraph on how to apply it to life. It truly is unlike any other Bible study resource I have used. It is meant to be used as a year long reading guide and resource. It is a great way to hold yourself accountable to reading through the Bible. It would be a great resource for a church library, book club, life group or any other study group.

What a truly timely, ambitious, and successful book! I absolutely loved it! (I read much of it and skimmed through the rest, as it is meant to be read in a year.)

I love her questions at the beginning and her discussions about "how to really read the Bible". I love the way she organized the book to enable you to read chapters that really go together, and the way she ended each reading with something about God's character or a takeaway for real life.

If you are at all hesitant to get this book, just go for it. I will be using it for some of my daily devotionals as well as for a "through the Bible in one year" guide.

I received a free ARC as a reviewer for NetGalley, but I am considering buying a hard copy as well.

I absolutely loved this book but it is not one to rush through. I am not done with this book because it is writing for a year timeline but I like what I am reading so far. I'm planning on updating my review when finished

If you ever read your Bible and then immediately wonder, "What did I just read?" this is the book for you! Each day, you'll read 2-3 chapters of a chronological Bible reading plan, and then read a short explanation of what you read. Tara-Leigh Cobble offers insight into the historical context of the events, translation of the original language, and other interesting info--all easy to understand without a theology degree! I'm so grateful for this resource and the impact it's had on my life. I've gotten to know my God and the history of my faith on a deeper level this year, and can't say enough good things about this resource.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! Ms. Cobble did a wonderful job of breaking down the different parts of the Bible into sections that can easily work together with a one-year daily reading plan. I would not use this book to "replace" my Bible reading, but rather as a companion to each day that I read my devotions. I also find it important to understand that, as a companion, it does not replace the Bible in it's explanations, but rather just offers one persons interpretation of events and examples. As with any book, a companion style book is simply an opinion of that authors thoughts. We must remember that this author is also human, and that interpretation can vary immensely among many Bible scholars. This said, I was impressed by this book, and will likely purchase a hard copy of it for my own use!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Loved this! I was hoping that Cobble would release a book to accompany her podcast. This is a great assistant as you work your way through the bible.
