Those books that abound with emotions that deeply touch the reader are really rare. Even rarer are those who, with due respect and deep emotionality, elaborate topics that are not easy to read and yet are so close to us.

When I opened this book I had a million ideas of what could be going on, but none that prepared me for an emotional journey that shook me to the core.
Highly recommended for all readers.

It’s taken me a while to read this book and I struggled to get into it, at one point I contemplated not continuing with it but I’m really glad I did. It was a sad read but I liked how even though it had other people in it the chapters just focused on the two main female characters, it showed that people can change and adapt to situations. I’m really glad I finished it and came to love the book and got attached to the characters

I honestly don’t think I can put into words how much this book had a hold on me. It’s the fastest I have read a book in a long long time. Although it was very upsetting it was also amazingly up lifting.

Definitely worth more than five stars.

A beautifully written book that grabs your heart and pulls it in so many different directions. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it's really well written and not your usual storyline. written from two different perspectives, it's a sad but beautiful story of life and the twists it takes through unexpected pathways and how love ultimately conquers all.

I would highly recommend this, the story will definitely stay with me for a while, I loved it!

My Husband’s Daughter by Emma Robinson was a great book. Told from two points of view, Cara mother to four year old Sophie and Rebecca who’s now married to Jack and doesn’t want children. Twists and turns throughout, I loved it, it brought tears to my eyes.

WOW! What an emotionally charged read this was! This was a superb women's fiction novel and a major tear-jerker. This was my first book by Emma Robinson, and it will not be my last. The author's writing style pulled me in from the first chapter, and I was able to connect with the characters well. Such a beautiful story. I'd recommend this for any fan of family drama, or anyone in the mood for an an emotional, heart-felt read. Grab tissues, you will need them!

This is such a wonderful, emotional book, you won't do a thing until you have turned every page and shed tears. Imagine sitting with your husand, another lady arrives with a 4 year old child who says she is your husband's child...what does the future hold, how do you accept it, do you even try. This is not the plan you had for your life so do you change course or try to accept it and end with stress, drama, tension, secrets and a child standing in the middle. Thanks to Net Galley for allowing me the chance to read this.

I really liked this book, although it was a bit predictable at times. A couple of twists, though,, took me by surprise. Told in alternating POV from the wife and the old girlfriend.

I'm still thinking about this book. I had to put it down a few times to collect myself and stop crying all over my e-reader! So heart-wrenching and so good.

I do recommend to have a box of tissues because this story is heartbreaking.
I thought this new to me author has done a wonderful job with the alternating voices without missing a beat.
With a great plot and characters that are sure to be your favorite you'll not want to put Jack and Rebecca's story down until you're finished. These characters will definitely leave you thinking about them long after it's finished.
There are many twists to this book along with some big secrets.
My feelings on this is it's never good to keep secrets especially from family. They could end up being your big supporters with whatever is going on.
This book deserves more than five stars because I really was lost in their story.
I highly recommend this beautiful story. The author sure doesn't bear around the bush with these though subjects.
I appreciate stories like these.
My thanks for a copy of this book.

A heartbreaker of a read. Two very different females brought together by a long kept secret. So well written with great characters. Good twists too.

Jack & Rebecca were happily married & happily childless. One evening there was a knock at the door. It was an old flame of Jack's & with her was a four year old daughter Sophie. Cara then tells them that Sophie is actually Jack's daughter too. They are temporarily homeless & need some help. After this bombshell, what can they do but ask the to stay for a while. Things are hard to get used to. Cara seems secretive & prickly. Understandably, Rebecca struggles to get used to the idea of Jack having a child & her thoughts run to how they are going to include Sophie in their lives. However events soon mean things are going to completely overturn their settled existence.

The story is told by both Cara & Rebecca & I really struggled to like either of them very much in the beginning, but as the tale went on I really engaged with all the characters. It is a very moving book & there were some tears shed before the end. Thanks to Netgalley & the publishers for letting me read & review this book.

I absolutely loved this and will definitely be reading more by this author. A wonderfully written book, written so well in alternating voices that you soon falls in love with both of these women, and dealing with some difficult and sensitive issues. It simply draws you in right till the end.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for my copy.
