If there is a book that you need to read it is this one. It captivated me from the first chapter laying down the mystery of the story and quickly building into a whirlwind of secrets, action and burning sexual tension.

Bailey. She’s lived her whole life with her mother, thinking that her father had died in combat. When an attempt to kidnap her brings forward some truths, the main one being that her father is still very much alive and very very wealthy. She’s then plunged into a whole new world when she has to go live on her father’s estate for her protection. Her new protection being in the form of Kash! (Swoon, swoon).

She’s then thrust into the Francis family, feeling very much like an outsider, especially when no one is told who she is and I ached for her at parts, when she wanted acceptance, people’s actions were thrown in her face.

Kash, get me one of him now! He’s intense, broody, overprotective and all alpha but will always put Bailey’s safety first. He has his secrets, is very closed off and I don’t think we know who he really is yet. It’s strange thinking back over this book, I mean, Kash was in the book, but he wasn’t really?! We still need to learn so much about him.

Like all of Tijan’s books, I could not put this book down. I don’t think I have finished a book so quickly in a long time. There is something about the writing that just pulls you into the story and I just had to keep reading, needing to find out what was happening waiting for the plot twist and jaw-dropping moments!

I will admit though, I was a little disappointed with the steam level. I felt that we could have got so much more especially with how the sexual tension was built between Bailey and Kash but ended up being more fade to black and not what we usually get from Tijan.

We finish on a cliffhanger and I’m dying for the next installment to see where the story takes us. There is still plenty of mystery and I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop as I am sure we are in for a treat. I love this new world!

This book had me flying through the pages. The tension, banter and general interactions between the main characters was off the charts.

There is an underlying mystery and the pair have a slow build.

Ending with a cliff hanger I'm looking forward to other books in the series.

Tijan did it again! This book is so good. I loved it. Every. Single. Second. The Insiders is about Bailey, a girl who is incredibly smart and just finished college, who is almost kidnapped. Little does she know, she is about to meet her father and fall in love with a Kash. I really loved this book. Kash is one of the most incredibly kind, considerate characters of The Insider world.

Not only do I love reading about the relationship between Kash and Bailey, I also love the relationship Bailey gets to build with her family. This book has a lot of twists and turns throughout and I don’t want to spoil it for you! I would say The Insiders is a cross between Fallen Crest and Bennett Mafia. It has you on the edge of your seat.

I want to congradulate Tijan for her first publication from a traditional author. I’ve been reading TIjan’s book since 2016. My friend book from her was the Fallen Crest world, and seeing her grow into what she is now just makes me so proud of her. She has grown in her writing. Just read her first book’s to see that! Her plots were always amazing, but a reader can tell that she struggled with finding the line between how to write the plot with more description and telling the story in a traditional way. But ultimately, she has found her niche and it has been an incredible journey to see.

This book is five stars. Go get your copy! NOW!

The Insiders is Tijan’s latest release and the first book in the trilogy. It’s the start of a brand new world and I love it when authors start building worlds and characters. Bailey is this super brainy computer nerd. She idolises Peter Francis, a tech billionaire but later finds out he is her father. She is given an ultimatum after a failed kidnapping attempt. Go with Kashton Collelo, an associate of her father’s to his estate and be guarded by him where she can meet her 3 siblings she knew nothing about or carry on with life as she knows it with the threat of another kidnapping hanging in the air. Obviously she picks option A and ends up being very closely guarded by Kashton and not really being that sad about it!

The plot is full of action, complex family dynamics, secrecy, suspense and mystery. The air between Bailey and Kash is electrifying and after a bit of a slow burn they combust. I loved this book as it wasn’t just about the relationship between Bailey and Kash there was so much going on and so many interconnected people and relationships it made for a really original and interesting read. I would so recommend this book if you are looking for something a little different. There is no cliffhanger at the end so don’t worry (I hate them too), everything is resolved but there’s the hint of what might be coming. Tijan has said the second book in this series is going to be released next April and will be called The Damaged. You can already preorder this and I can’t wait to see what comes next. Another fantastic book by Tijan.

Completely captivated right from the start...intriguing, different and totally Tijan!

Just wanting to be on the inside of a family she grew up without, Bailey ends up feeling unwanted and continues to feel like the outlier. Kash is her new protector, an enigma...a gorgeous, sexy, hard to resist one at that. No matter how much Bailey thinks she hates him, she’s completely drawn to him at the same time.

Mystery after mystery, secret after secret, question after question, the reader, right along with Bailey, is left seeking answers. Once answers finally start to come, so do more questions, uncertainty and unpredictability.

Edgy, angsty, steamy, and suspenseful, this book is definitely like a roller coaster ride, one I’ll be staying on while I wait for the next book in this must read trilogy!

Computer wiz Bailey always craved family. She only had Chrissy/Mom growing up and they were happy as they can be. Everything was okay until someone tries to kidnap her in the middle of the night. Everything is moving too fast until she was rescued but she was facing another issue.
Bailey finds out who her real father computer tech mogul/her idol Peter Francis. Now, she is in danger of being kidnapped again. To be safe, she had to leave her mother behind and go with Kash. Everything was moving too fast for her to digest. But she wanted more from her real father.
Bailey knew Peter Francis as her idol but now he is her biological father yet she hasn't met him in person. Only person she has been in contact was Kashton and staying in his villa.
Nothing seems like Bailey thought. She wasn't welcomed and she becoming more of an outcast. Her brother wants to use her to get to Peter and her stepmother hates her. Will she find her place in this dysfunctional family?
Bailey is likable character and Kashton's secret unravels and can't wait what happens to both of them.
It was bit confusing in the beginning but story picks up quickly with suspense. Story ends with a cliffhanger.
It grabs your attention from the beginning.
Thanks to Netgalley and ST. Martin publishing for ARC.

Bailey is your typical teenage girl, other than her genius IQ and computer skills, she is nothing special. After some men break into her house in the night and try to kidnap her, Baileys life is suddenly thrown upside down. The man she believed was her father, really isn't and the man she's always idolized in the tech world is.

To keep her safe Bailey agrees to go to the estate where her three half siblings live. However she is to keep her identity secret from everyone there except for the gorgeous man named Kash in charge of her protection.

Soon Bailey gets a look at how the other half lives and the kind of life she would have had if her father had been in it. With the bad guys still looking for her, Bailey must now navigate this new world and try not to get lost in the world of the insiders.

I was so excited for this story because I love Tijans writing style, but this story was so much better than I even expected. The story keeps building in an interesting way where you never know what is going to happen next or who is involved in anything. I didn't see any of the major twists coming and that's always a good story for me. The variety of characters made the story what it was. It's a fast pace that makes it hard to put down.

I was so excited for this book and read it in basically one sitting. I was instantly hooked from the first few chapters and loved the concept of the story.

- a tech genius girl with a photographic memory who is being hunted by this mysterious group. And as she uncovers more about her family and things that were kept hidden from her all her life, she finds out who really wants to harm her.

I loved kash, he was a classic tijan hero/book bf for me. Reminded me a lot of Mason from fallen crest. The stunningly gorgeous, quiet, brooding type, who's really protective, smart and rich, but still mysterious lol.

The story kind of began to slow down in pacing about the 55% mark for me. I was waiting for an action packed plot point to drop or something big to happen, but the focus was really on bailey's family, and small stuff happening here and there leading to a larger overall storyline. The book was definitely driven by her relationship with kash, which I still loved.
I'd love to see alot more plot focused narrative and relationship development in the next book. The ending left so much room for that and I think that's where everything start picking up pace/plot wise.

I really liked the opportunities this set up for the rest of the series and I can't wait to read the next book.

Tijan really delivered it with this first book in The Insiders trilogy! The story was nothing like I expected and I could not put it down!

Kash is your standard mysterious, brooding, and overprotective leading man. Who doesn't love that in a character?! Bailey is our heroine, she's so fun and is the only one who has been able to form a true connection with Kash, something he really took hold to. This couple is perfect in the most swoon-worthy way. A lot of build-ups here.

The plot was great for a mystery and kept me on the edge of my seat. I am so excited to continue on with the trilogy and find out what happens next!

Huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sorry for the short and sweet review but I've just been released from the hospital so here goes. What a few chapter I was able to read were slightly boring and somewhat confusing. I don't know what it was about the heroine but she didn't make me want to know more. Maybe it's cause my mindset was elsewhere during this. But if you're a Tijan fan go ahead a give it a try otherwise skip.

Holy wow! Tijan is one of my favorite authors. She creates her stories with unforgettable characters, plot lines that keep you wanting more, and angst and sparks galore! That's just a few of the things that keep me turning to a Tijan novel, time and time again.

I absolutely loved every minute of this story. Bailey and Kash......well they are my favorite characters to date that Tijan has created. Their depths, their emotions, their stories.....all of it combined to create perfectly chiseled, heart stealing characters. Throw in some deep family secrets and this page turner kept me up long into the night!

If you've never read a Tijan novel before, go and grab this one up. It will take you on one heck of a wild ride and where you land.....well, you'll be ready for the next installment of this new trilogy instantly! This is most definitely a 4 star worthy novel, and one that I'll be sharing with all my book loving friends! Well done, once again, Tijan! I can't wait for the next!

I didn't really enjoy this one. Usually I'm a huge Tijan fan but this one didn't work for me. I couldn't connect to the characters and the story felt a bit disjointed.

This book starts off with a bang and goes at a breakneck speed. I found myself slightly confused as I couldn't quite make out who the characters were- who was the kidnapper who tried to help her and why? The scene rapidly fades to black and it jumps ahead to where she is safe. I would have liked to have been privy to actual fight scenes and rescues in this book but we don't really get to see any of that.

However, I enjoyed the tension and the build-up of suspense. There is quite a lot of mystery surrounding the people in Bailey's life and it was intriguing to puzzle it all out along with her. I didn't really understand Kash as he had very much a cloak and dagger kind of persona. It was clear that he cared for Bailey but I would have liked a prequel chapter where it shows him keeping tabs on Bailey and thwarting the previous kidnapping attempts so it would show a progression of feelings for her rather than the insta love/attraction that is presented to us.

The parts that really stood out for me were the scenes involving Bailey's brothers and sister. I loved watching her get to know them. Matt was a complex character, wild but harmless enough and I enjoyed all his crazy shenanigans. I'm hoping he will still cause some havoc and drive everyone mad in the next book. I'm also curious as to what lies in store for Bailey's parents. Will they have a second chance together? I'm quite intrigued by Kash's grandfather as well so I'm looking forward to following the rest of the series.

This book is so unTijan and more like Tijan than any of her other work. The thing about her writing style is the beginning is so unlike any other and it gives you just enough to suck you in and keep you reading to fall in love with the characters and the story.. I definitely love Kash and Bailey .. but also the side characters too..
This book has so much-of a back story that you have to keep reading to peel back all the layers.. Matt and Peter broke my heart. Bailey and Chrissy have a very complex relationship.. this book made me cry. I mean it was so good yet so complicated and I felt Baileys pain and Matt’s and he’s not even a main character. I definitely will be rereading it again a couple of times before the next one comes out because in my giddiness to read Tijans new book I believe I may have missed key parts., which always happens if I’m being honest ..
This book has some steamy scenes and so many secrets.. things are not what they seem.. it takes the whole saying “ the grass isn’t always greener” to a new level.. It’s complex and intriguing.. and I feel like this is a new world that I will fall even more in love with as the story continues.
I know I haven’t given you much but I did that on purpose because you need to read it and fall in love too

I love love love Tijan. She's the best at a Sports Romance, so I was excited to receive an ARC from her, for a book from a different type of genre.
I read this book in 2 days.
I love the way that Tijan dives into her character's personalities and this book was no different.
I think that the plot was interesting and different enough from the other books in this genre that it held my attention and stood out.
I don't think this is my FAVORITE book that Tijan has written. But it was definitely a book that held my attention.
I'm not sure what my thoughts are about this book being a trilogy, because I was actually 110% more invested in Matthew and his storyline than I was in Bailey's or Kash's. So I don't know what that means exactly, I haven't dissected those thoughts quite yet. But I hope to god Matthew gets his own novel. I'd buy that FO SHO

This was so different than what I expected and I loved every minute of reading it. I loved the mystery and suspense. I loved the intense storyline and the passion in the story. I was completed captivated by this world and I am dying to read more from this series and from this author. I will definitely be reading it.

What a way to start this trilogy. I've been waiting for months since I first heard about this book and Tijan definitely did not disappoint. After reading the first line in this story, I knew it was going to be good and was proven right with how captivated this book had me. Twists and turns I never saw coming, the unique plot and storyline, the intense attraction and chemistry between these two characters who are so different yet connected on such a deep level.
I absolutely loved Bailey and Kash. She is a computer genius/hacker with photographic memory. She has her quirks but is also fiery. He is powerful, brooding and mysterious. Circumstance brings these two together and their chemistry is absolutely electrifying but how long will they fight their sizzling attraction to one another?
Bailey has just had her life upended. After a failed kidnapping attempt, she learns that she was targeted because of who her father is. A man she's never known about but someone who she has idolized for most of her life. Not only that, she also learns that she now has siblings and after growing up an only child to a single mom, she can't wait to meet them. To ensure her safety, Bailey must stay on the family compound. The catch? No one can know about her connection to the family. Meaning she can't tell her siblings who she really is.
Kash is tasked with looking out for Bailey and meeting him has her reacting to him in a way she's never felt. He exerts power, confidence and control and she sees how others respond to him, her own siblings included, but she can't figure out what his role is towards her father and senses that he is hiding something.
This story was a great introduction to the trilogy. While the story focused on Bailey and her family, I am intrigued to see what the next story will bring. Will it be about Kash and his family? Will it be darker and more intense? And will Bailey and Kash be able to overcome whatever obstacles come their way?

I have been a fan of this author since her very first book. Religiously reading everything that she has released. I was beyond thrilled when I heard she had gotten a deal with a publishing house for a three book series though I wondered how it would affect her writing since publisher have a say it how the book is written and in the past I've seen it hold back other authors before. I shouldn't have been worried.

This book starts off full of action and never really lets up. You can't put it down, your eye racing across the page trying to absorb the words as quickly as possible all the while hoping you don't miss anything. When you get to the end you curse the fact that you've finished but, are so relieved to know two more books will come after.

Bailey, like all Tijan characters, kicks ass. Kash is well he's a character you have to experience for yourself. Someone else's second hand information just won't cut it when it comes to him. This is an amazing first book in what will likely be an exceptional series. I can't wait for book two.
