I just absolutely had so much fun and I was so sad to turn the last page. I can’t wait to read more wonderful stories from this author.

This vampire story was not what I wanted it to be, unfortunately. I wanted more to the plot than the author gave us.

This story was the first in the Vampire Motorcycle Club series. It is a mix supernatural and romance book, with a lean toward the focus on supernatural. It was an easy read and something a bit different. A good romance overall.

This book was just sadly not for me! I was hoping for something different but it turned out to be something I was not expecting, which is okay and I'm sure someone else would love it!

I am usually very wishy washy when it comes to vampire romance. I went into this hoping I was going to like it but it's going into the con list for why I don't usually care for them.

I was granted a copy of this book through netgalley almost 2 years ago. I have no idea why it has taken me so long to read this book. This book has two of my favorite things, Motorcycle club and Vampires.
Although this leans more toward vampires than MC'S. I really enjoyed this story and Bane's character. I also loved Meara she was awesome.

I was expecting more MC badassery but this was still a good read. I enjoyed the chemistry between Bane and Ryan. I loved the misfit vampire family. Can't wait to learn more about the mysterious Edge!

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This is the first book that I have read by this author, but I have heard good things about her work. I love books about vampires and I have read a few MC books in the past. I was not sure how it would work out for the same work. But I have to say for the first experience I was delighted. I enjoyed Ryan for she was just a likable character, but Bane was a little edge of overly involved in himself and his territory. I mean I saw how he changed along the way but he has a lot of harsh edges that were hard to overlook in the beginning. I can't wait to read more by this author.

Alyssa Day is a new-to-me author, but she came highly recommended, so I thought I’d give this series a try. I like vampire romances, but I’m always iffy on MC romance. Again, this book was recommended to me by a trusted friend as one I should try. It’s heavy on the vampire element and very light on the MC element, which was perfect for me. But honestly, I was a bit conflicted with the plot and the main character, Bane. The book starts right in the middle of the action, and I kept waiting for a good explanation of the conflict. However, I continually felt like I was missing huge chunks of the backstory. Neither did I connect with the main characters much. For most of the story, I didn’t really care for Bane. He redeemed himself in the end, but he annoyed me for most of the book, as did Ryan. I will say, though, that the author did a superb job introducing the secondary characters. Well enough that I will continue the series for their stories. There’s a lot of potential going forward with this series, so I will give it a shot.

Bane is a very powerful vampire and leader of the Vampire MC. There are terrible necromancers invading his territory and threatening all those he protects.

Dr Ryan St. Cloud is a dedicated surgeon who will do anything to help her patients. When one is kidnapped right in front of her, it will change her whole outlook on the world.

This is an action packed paranormal romance filled with smoking hot characters and some very sexy scenes. Creepy and vicious fight scenes that make you want to hide behind the sofa give us lots of excitement. This author definitely has the knack of drawing us into the story on the first page and keeping us there until the end. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I loved it.

I will admit that I read the second book in this series first, but I'm glad that I went back to the first. After reading Hunter's story I not only wanted to know more about his transition but also about Bane and how he met Ryan. I love her character, you never know what she's going to say or do, and then to find out who her father is was great. I know that there is more coming from the warlocks and I cannot wait to see what happens.

This is my first book from this author but it won't be my last! The blurb really appealed to me and I enjoy paranormal and MC romances, so it seemed like a sure thing. Now I'm going to be very candid here and tell you that the first chapter of this book made me doubt my decision. It felt "heavy" to me and it read kind of hard...but I persevered and I am so glad that I did, because in the end I thought that this book was really awesome! Different than I expected, but awesome. Romance, sweetness, heat, humor and quirkiness is combined with drama, action, suspense, danger and twists to create a very fun and exciting read that held my attention well, gave me some delightful feels. I will say that if you don't like a bit of cuteness to your reads or if you are not a fan of a bit of over-the-top, this book might not be for you. I myself, thought that Bane and Ryan made an adorable couple. There was a raw vulnerability to each of these characters that really drew me to them. I just loved them like crazy!! An intriguing cast of secondary characters creates a lot of options for future entries in the series and it also looks like there will be a bit of an overarching story that continues throughout. I can't wait to dive into book two just as soon as I can.

From Lala’s Book Reviews

So typically vampires aren’t my go to paranormal creature that I gravitates towards, not that I have anything against them, but somehow with most of the vampire books I read, I somehow find myself wanting to read more about them.

I’ll be honest that this book has it all from the medium burn romance between Bane and Ryan to the plot development to the drama.

Over the past week, I’ve been obsessively trying to find time to read this book because it’s so addicting watching Bane and Ryan dance around their feelings before giving in and seeing it grow.

Bane is this old vampire originally from Europe and over time has found his way to Savannah, Georgia where he’s been I’d say a little less than a century (don’t take my word for that). He’s the president of the Vampire Motorcycle Club, and I would say the head leader of the vampires in that area because he is so powerful. He’s the guy that with time he started to dehumanize with his emotions except when it comes to his personal family of vampires and the humans that help with the upkeep of the mansion.

Bane is quick to write himself as the villain in Ryan’s life as soon as he goes back to get her after taking his human friend back to his house to turn him into a vampire after a horrible burn. Ryan is quite different than any female human he’s ever met because his compulsion doesn’t work on her, and he feels this jealousy when Luke said that his compulsion “worked” on her at the hospital and this overwhelming need to protect her at all costs despite having just met her.

Ryan has a rather quite and predictable life outside of what happens while she’s at work at the hospital. She’s the type of person that does most everything by the rules and she would probably say that her personal life is less than exciting, so she feels like she’s hallucinating when Bane shows up at her apartment the night after her patient mysteriously goes missing from everyone’s mind and the computer system because why this man who perfectly fits her definition of a gorgeous man be standing on her balcony?

After being taken back to his mansion, she realizes that her world is quite different in multiple ways in the sense that there are vampires, werewolves, zombies, and the whole nine yards, and she finds out some interesting stuff about herself.

As Ryan and Bane’s relationship starts to heat up physically and emotionally, things around them starts to go down hill that causes Bane to push himself away from Ryan, but Ryan has different thoughts because she should have a say considering that it’s their relationship and her safety that’s on the line.

I enjoyed this storyline. I like Bane and Ryan. I can't wait to see what happens with the rest of the characters the author has given us. And where the storyline is going to go from here. The backstory for bane and Meara was interesting and I really want to know about Edge. Overall a good read.

Bane's Choice by A. Day, published by Entangled Publishing, is the first book in the Vampire Motorcycle Club Series.
Bane is an immortal for a long time, a member of a MC not that long.
Ryan St. Cloud is a doctor and never believed in pnr. That's about to change.
With Bane this new to me author crafted a fantastic pnr world that had me in suspense right from the start. Characters that I easily could connect with and a fast paced, action packed storyline that made me read the book, cover to cover, in one sitting. Next up is Hunter's Hope.

Cold, ruthless and sexy Bane, leader of the Vampire Motorcycle Club and a real, actual three hundred year old vampire has a problem, Necromancers using black magic are trying to take over his territory, and women are turning up dead all over the place, designed to look as if he is responsible. Having lived so long, Bane has lost quite a lot of his humanity, and struggles to feel anything at all.

When he finally meets Ryan St Cloud, a doctor who stands up to him, he can't believe it, and when his memory wiping magic also doesn't work on her, he is intrigued and attracted, almost against his will to this perplexing human, with a strange quality about her, that he just can't figure out.

Dr Ryan St Cloud sees herself as boring, reliable, plain and practical. She also feels a strange oull towards the strange man she meets, and when he sweeps her off against her will, because she has seen too much, Bane is afraid he will eventually need to kill her, but not just yet...

...Once Ryan realises what Bane and his gang are, she quickly assimilates into the team, but has to assert her will against Bane's Alpha over protectiveness and need to be in control. When the warlocks and necromancers are working with the chamber to take over the VMC territory, can Bane and Ryan get to their HEA?

I really enjoyed this, I love a grumpy anti-hero, and I also really enjoyed Ryan as a character. The action was interesting and even though there was a lot of exposition, the world building felt necessary as this was a series starter.

Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and all opinions are my own.

So a new series from one of my favorite authors begins with the story of a motorcycle club, entirely comprised of badass vampires and none more so than their president. Alyssa Day has been one of my favorite authors since I stumbled into her Atlantis series long ago and I have been a loyal fan ever since, so when I read that she was beginning a new venture I was thrilled. This series kicked off with a bang and then only got more and more intense as the heroine Dr. Ryan St. Cloud found herself in a new world that she never new was buried in the shadows of her own. Bane has run his club for a lot of years and protects his people, vampire and mortal, with an iron fist, so when one of his mortal allies if mortally injured he ventures into the hospital to try to save him. There his and Ryan’s worlds collide as she tries to stand between him and his dying friend. Bane has never met a more interesting and magnetic mortal and he finds himself drawn to Ryan again and again, soon leading to him pulling her deeper into his world and ultimately into his bed and heart. Ryan knows she is putting her life in danger with Bane and his family, but she cannot resist him and soon she has fallen so deep there is no going back. I loved this story and getting to know both Bane and Ryan. Each of them had a lot of issue to work through, but once they found their balance, they were truly an unstoppable force and a perfect match for one another. The passion between these two was an inferno from the very beginning and as they found their balance it settled into a blaze that will definitely last their long lives together. I am dying to know what happens next in this world of sexy, fascinating men and women. Another great series on the horizon!

I have read Ms. Day's previous series, Warrior's of Poseidon, and loved it very much and thought that I would give this series, Vampire's MC Club a try. Bane and Ryan's story. Ryan is a doctor who is introduced into the paranormal world when a friend of Bane's is hurt. Needless to say, there is quite a bit going on and it does take a minute for Ryan to sort of catch on. Eventually filled with some action, suspense and a bit of mystery make for a great story. I am looking forward to more books in this series. 4 stars

Bane's Choice is the 1st book in this new series by Alyssa Day and I enjoyed it. The minute I saw vampire and motorcycle club I knew I wanted to read this novel as a MC club with vampires was not something I've read before. It took me a little while to get into the story at the start but when I did it was an interesting read. There was a lot happening in this novel from the building romance between Ryan and Bane to the fight for territory between the supernatural factions. The building chemistry between Ryan and Bane was explosive and I loved how different they were. Additionally the author created some secondary characters who caught my interest and I can't wait to learn more about them in coming book. This was an enjoyable read and I would recommend it to all lovers of paranormal romance.
