Night Night Norman features a child, Ellie, and her horse Norman, whom she cares for.

Norman is curious about where Ellie goes when she is not in the barn with him and decides to explore for himself.

On his adventure through Ellie's house he comes across some weird and wonderful things that he doesn't understand, although he can appreciate for example, their sound or comfort.

Although he is not successful in finding Ellie he discovers a need to explore and sets of on a new adventure at the end of the book.

For children, this story although ably supported by Romi Caron's magnificent illustrations, just doesn't reach a satisfactory conclusion and in fact, needs to be explained to children.

A lovely touch however was the drawing 'tutorial' on the final page which I believe would encourage young readers to try attempt to draw their very own Norman.

This whimsical book is fun and cute and will appeal to any child who enjoys horses. It is a good thing Ellie doesn't have a dog!
The illustrations are boldly colorful, brilliant and beautiful. I love the facial expressions and the look in Norman's eye.
Norman is a very curious and mischevious horse. He is very loyal to his friend Ellie. The book is exciting.
I can imagine children acting this out with their toy horses after having read the book (or hearing the book.)

The illustrations in this book are cute, but the story feels very redundant. What is the lesson learned in this book? The horse literally makes a mess and never learns a thing.

I read this to my nieces before bed tonight. I thought it was a very cute book and kept them entertained. After we were finished with the book they wanted to read it again. They can’t wait to see if there is a second book to see what Norman gets into next!

Beautifully illustrated, Night Night Norman shares the story of a curious horse who gets into mischief one night. My children (ages 4 and 6) really liked this book and thought the idea of a horse making himself comfortable in a house was a great thought. They wanted more of his mis-adventures. It is a short book, it would have been nice to have some more story but keeping it short ensures that it would be easily understood by even the youngest child. As mentioned, great illustrations. I cant wait to purchase the book to add to our library.

This is a really cute book! I loved Norman and his curiosity and all the mischief he gets up to when he leaves the barn that night. I really liked the vibrant colors of the illustrations also. For any child who likes horses this is a must read!

Night, Night Norman by Marie Dimitrova. I love the story about the horse that goes in search of his favorite person Ellie. Children will wonder if horses really do think. If you love horses your children will love the book Night Night Norman.

Night Night, Norman

Curiosity is natural thing, and Norman loves Ellie. She loves and cares for him but he does not know where she goes after she says goodnight. His exploration is rather silly, and just the right innocence to intrepid children. Its a great book for Kindergarten.
