This story gives an in depth look at what it was like to live in London during World War II and how it affected everyone who lived and worked there. It is focused on a female journalist from America and her journey from America to London. and her experiences with the people who lived there, and finding love when she least expects it.

Goodnight From London by Jennifer Robson is an excellent historical fiction.

This is my first book of Ms. Robson’s and I loved it. The prose were easy, yet interesting. The story line was great and I loved all the characters. I am excited to read the rest of her books that I own.

I enjoyed the romance, the pace, plot, and ending. It kept me engaged throughout.

5/5 stars

The premise of this book was very interesting and I was excited to read it but unfortunately it was a disappointment for me. The story evolves around an American journalist who moves to London to cover the war. The author covers several important elements of WWII but both the character development and story line were superficial. The story structure was interesting and the descriptions were nice. Since this was the authors first book (I think) I would definitely try another one. The book just needed something more

This was a fascinating book about an orphan who becomes a war correspondent during World War II, moving from New York to England as she writes articles about the people impacted by the war. I loved the characters, especially the heroine Ruby, who in spite of growing up with nothing, takes responsibility for making her life have meaning. Lots of good history about the war and information about sights in London and Paris as well, made this a compelling read. 4.5/5 stars (rounded to 5).

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to review the book. #netgalley

I enjoyed this one immensely. It is told from an American’s point of view with an appreciation of what the British went through during the Blitz and all of World War II.
