This was a really cute story about two people who meet again by chance. Cori is rebounding from a breakup when she runs in to her old flame Grey. Neither had forgotten the other and their incredible chemistry. Can they make it work this time around? Both are struggling with their feelings and not wanting to repeat the past. I liked this story, but felt that is was a little rushed. The whole Breakup Bash idea was really interesting and how the stories about her friends are happening at the same time.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Can't really go wrong with having an attractive person on the cover, can you? haha.

This was my first book by this author, so I wasn't too sure on what to expect in terms of writing style.
The author has an impressive way with words.
The book flowed seamlessly. I was interested in each chapter and found myself turning the pages all night. :)
The characters were well-developed and easy to like too!

I'll definitely be looking out for other work by this author.

Second chance swooning over here! I love, love, love this series and Cori and Grey were the perfect couple to end it on. They needed to find each other again almost as much as I needed to experience their love right along with them! Just amazingly good!

The Last Rule of Makeups is Cori's story for followers of the gal pals and the Breakup Bash Series. For newbies, it's a chance to see a second chance love story for the one who got away.

While the series has been fun and had some steamy interludes, I felt like Cori wasn't being true to herself. She held back in some places and was completely unrestrained in others. For a woman who knew her ex sooo well, she brushed aside his dreams and future. It didn't feel genuine. Or maybe it's just me. Perhaps I read too many books...

Whatever the reason, I loved Grey and am glad he got everything he deserved

This was a different kind of story. It was unexpected and fun.

Although this is the third installment in the series, it can be read as a stand alone. After being dumped by her boyfriend, Corey goes to the breakup bash with some girlfriends and runs into an old flame, Grey Latham. Neither one told the other the truth as to why they broke up in the past, and both are dealing with demons, but since they both think this is a flame, feel that the past doesn't matter. But they just might be kidding each other.

This was a cute and enjoyable second chance romance and I enjoyed it very much. The characters were realistic and engaging, and it was a well written story. And it's a very enjoyable story. I especially enjoyed several of the secondary characters, including Corey's parents. Good job with the story.

I love this series and this was a great addition. Cori and Grey were great and had the best chemistry. This was a quick and steamy read that I read in one sitting. I definitely recommend it for romance fans!

Yessss this book was such a sweet second chance story. I devoured this short read within a few hours, thanks to entertaining writing, enjoyable characters and relatable moments.

Cori and Grey brought an instant spark to this book. These two couldn't have been anymore fun to read, they had great chemistry in and out the bedroom.

I actually found the secondary characters very lively and they made me want to read their own stories just to see where things go in their lives

A sweet and sexy second chance romance!

Once upon a time (OK, it was in college ;) ) Cori and Grey were in a relationship. He asked her to move to Texas with him, and she agreed--only to back out for reasons she didn't really explain to him at the time. They agreed to go their separate ways, though neither was truly happy about it. Several years later, he's back in Maryland, and they meet again. Will their one night stand/reunion lead to more this time?

I thought Ms Crespo did a nice job of showing us why Cori and Grey didn't work before while giving us reason to believe that this time would be different--once they got past the inevitable black moment, of course (spoiler alert: they did! And in a way that shows they really have changed this time, thank goodness) Along the way they had some sexy and downright funny adventures--the kitchen pantry scene, for example, is one I won't be forgetting anytime soon. I really enjoyed seeing the last friend of the trio achieve her HEA here--it was worth the wait!

The Last Rule of Makeups is the third book in Ms Crespo's Breakup Bash series, but it absolutely can be read on its own. All three stories happen concurrently, so the order of reading here isn't at all important. Hints at what is going on with the other two women are woven in throughout, though, so don't blame me when you end up reading all three anyway! ;)

This is an interesting second chance at love book. These two characters and their random meet up outside of a club is super cute. The trip to the beach house was great, it really started to show how their relationship was developing and we could see the potential between these two. However the truth comes out and it makes things a little more complicated between Grey and her family. Not a fan of the girls getting together and eating ice cream chapter, pretty much skipped over the whole part. It was part bashing Kevin the ex-boyfriend and a bitch session and it was Cori telling everything all over again. Grey is a super guy in this book, damaged and heart broken but he really wants a relationship a real relationship with Cori and in the end he gets it. I do like that Cori finally steps up in the end to show Grey that she was willing to chase after him and not let him go for a second time. Overall, the book has a good flow and moves along at a nice pace. It is easy to read and the characters are likeable and relatable.

Cori Ross is at a breakup bash with her friends when she decides to leave. Exiting the bar she bumps into an old and ex-flame Gray Latham. They each realize that the attraction and other emotions that they had for one another are still there. Still exhilarating yet the passion feels more intense.
After a night together and wanting to still be together they still must work through the same problems that broke them up as from before. Also, Gray is dealing with overcoming someone he was mentoring in the DJ business. They both have grown since the last time they dated will that be enough to guide them to a different outcome this time through? Read this very good story to find out.

DNF @ 51 %.

I don't know why but somehow I didn't connect with this book at all.

It felt like the chapters were too long even if they weren't. I couldn't read more than a chapter or two at the same time and I kept putting down the book for days. I didn't feel the need to go back to reading that I usually do.

Maybe it's because nothing much has happened in the story. They meet, they sleep together and that's it. I DNFed the book around half of the book, right after she found out her ex got married after only being broken up for a couple of months. She got sad then which was the breaking point for me. I guess, I was hoping she didn't like him as much as she obviously was feeling and that she had some feelings for Grey.

Anyway, I'm giving 3 stars for a story being dull. At least to me.

This is an excellent read from the Breakup Series which can be read as a stand-alone. The characters were well developed and I loved how Cori and Grey who knew each other in a previous relationship together but broke up due to Cori not wanting to leave and go with Grey to live in Texas. Cori and Grey now run into each other again after being at the same club where Cori and her girlfriends are celebrating their breakups in their own relationships.
It was amazing to see that sometimes we may have to go our separate ways to grow and then come back to each other with that wisdom and experience.
This storyline was a page turner for me and I hated to see the story end.
I highly recommend this book to read and also the other books in this series.

The Last Rule of Makeups is a great continuation of the Breakup Bash Series. It's an exceptional love story of real life emotions and second chances. The power of Cory and Grey's connection and their undeniable love and devotion is amazing. Superbly written, Nina expertly chronicles the journey of two people who had to deal with their pasts in order to move on with their future. Thank you for another awesome read!! I received an advanced copy of this book and am enthusiastically leaving an honest review.

Nina Crespo is a new author to me. Love her characters and her writing style and the cover model is awesome. Love the “Last Rule Of Makeups”. This is a great second chance romance which is one of favorite troupes. Seconds chances work sometimes and sometimes they don’t. This was a short read that kept me turning the pages and wanting more. This is the 3rd installment of this series and I will probably read the 1st and 2nd books.

Cori (Corinne Ross) is a chief advisor for a group of angel investors.
Her live-in long-term boyfriend Kevin is a lawyer associate and has recently broken up with her.

Cori and her friends attend a Breakup Bash party and she makes the decision to swear off dating for 6 months. While leaving the Breakup Bash she runs into an old boyfriend Grey Latham whom she hasn’t seen in over 6 years. Grey is a famous DJ and is in town to DJ for a friend and also meet with his dad who wanted Grey to join the family business. Grey wanted Cori to move away with and she didn’t go because of concerns about her dad’s health and her mom also not wanting her to move away. Grey still has feelings for Cori and she still has feelings for him. Grey is dealing with his issues and is conflicted about continuing with career as a DJ after his friend dies of an apparent overdose.

Will Grey and Cori get their second chance at romance, will Grey join the family business, or continue to DJ or do both. All are interesting questions. Why not pick up your copy to do. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I received an ARC of this book and I’m voluntarily writing a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This story surprised me. It's one of my favorite romance themes, second chance. This became a much more involved story than I expected and I found I quite enjoyed it. The back and forth of will they make it or won't they was believable and real. There was so much to overcome in such a short period of time. You see by the end how very important honest communication is in a relationship. Grey has to decide if he has what it takes to be a DJ once again instead of falling back and spending his life trying to prove he's good enough to do the job to his Dad. Cori had to see that she's been treading water with her career when she could be so much more. Through it all the both were there for their friends when they needed support.

Cori Ross and Grey Latham were a tight couple in college. They had their future after graduation all planned in moving to Austin for Grey's DJ job. Then Cori's Dad's health tanked and her Mother convinced her she needed to stay for him being an only child. Cori was torn between moving away with Grey and staying for her Dad. She stayed and broke up with Grey but never told him the why.

Grey Reeves is the son of the man who runs Latham Reeves Enterprises a huge family trust. His parents are all about business and they have never been a close family. Grey has never felt that his accomplishments have been good enough for his parents. While in college he pursues a career as a DJ and makes a name for himself. He turned his back on the family business and is getting the attention of big names in the music business. Then his mentee and friend dies in a accidental overdose and his creative juices stop flowing. He meets Cori once again when he's in town to help out a friend before he meets with his Dad to join the family business. This starts a journey for both of them to sort out what their priorities are and who they want to spend their life with.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Last Rule of Makeups is the third book in the Breakup Bash series, but it was great as a stand-alone. It was a short book, but the characters and storyline were developed. It was well written, fast-paced, and caught my attention right away. The characters were charming and easy to connect with. Cori Ross was blindsided when her long-time boyfriend dumped her. Her two best friends were having relationship problems also, so they decided to attend a party to celebrate their break-ups at Breakup Bash. She has sworn off men for six months and has decided she doesn’t want to settle anymore. As she was leaving, she ran into Grey Latham, her old boyfriend who she still had feelings for. She agrees to a fling knowing Grey will be leaving town again. Grey never understood why Cori changed her mind about moving with him to Texas after college. After running into Cori unexpectedly, he hopes they might have a second chance together. Grey’s future is uncertain, but can they have a future still?

THE LAST RULE OF MAKEUPS by best-selling author Nina Crespo is a fantastic book. This is the first time I have read a book by Nina Crespo and she didn’t disappoint me at all with this book. This is the Book #3 in her Breakup Bash Series. I would recommend reading the previous books in the series before starting this book. I will be going back to read THE FIRST RULE OF HOOKUPS and RULES OF A REBOUND. This is the sexy love story of Corinne Ross and Grey Latham

Cori Ross is a chief advisor for angel investors that help small business and Grey Latham is a well-known international DJ. The two also have history together as they once were a couple when they were in college together. The relationship ended when Grey asked Cori to move to Austin with him. Cori and Grey see each other again at Club Escapade where Cori is at the Breakup Bash celebrating her breakup from her ex-boyfriend Kevin. Cori is getting ready to leave when she bumps into Grey. Seeing each other again, have them both thinking of their past relationship and the feelings that they had for one another. Cori and Grey spend a steamy night together after leaving the club. Will the pair get a second chance at love? You will have to read THE LAST RULE OF MAKEUPS to find out.

What I loved about this book was the storyline. Even though, I haven’t read the 1st two books of the series, I wasn’t lost while reading this story. I loved how the story flowed so seamlessly. I felt like I was there experiencing their budding love affair. I also loved all of the characters in this book. The love scenes in this book were so hot, sizzling, and passionate.

Nina Crespo shows us in that we can get a second chance at love. She also shows us that even though we have a bad breakup, there is someone better for us waiting in the wings. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book so much! I couldn’t put my Kindle down.

Make sure to grab your copy of THE LAST RULE OF MAKEUPS by Nina Crespo. You are definitely in for a treat! Available wherever books.

this book is part of a series but can be read alone. It was an OK read. Nothing special and honestly, kinda boring. There was no big angst. Just two people who broke up and got back together later.
