I received an advance copy of Boots & Mistletoe, by Edith MacKenzie.  This is the first of three books in the Mistletoe Collection. I just could not get into this book, I did not care for the characters Quinn and Jackson.  It was not for me, but others might like it.

This is a Christmas Cowboy Romance, and this is the first book in the Mistletoe Collection series. I have to say I would not call this a romance (that is what it's said to be), but I would called it a chick-lit or women's fiction. The reason is the romance is second in this book. I am not saying this book was bad because I loved it a lot. The two character (Quinn and Jackson) that falls in love in this book meets at the beginning of the book very quickly, but then they do not meet again until 50% of the book is gone. The last 50% was about them, but the first 50% is about Quinn working a job she does not love and getting over her ex-boyfriend.
